Eight denotes the number of a new beginning. In music there are a series of notes, one through seven. Then it starts anew with the eighth note (an octave). All the music ever, is written with a total of 88 keys as on a piano. What looks like an 8 on its side is the symbol of infinity, it just continues. Everything in life has a beginning. Let this be Ours today, on this eighth day of November, 2018!

All great literature is like this too, it just continues, even though it may be fiction. The great thing about fiction, besides its passion is, it can invoke in us a great sense of adventure. It ignites our imagination to lead us to find new discoveries. Fiction can give us rest or pause or enjoyment, in the midst of our everyday toils. And fiction is, often based on facts or at least plausible possibilities. Fiction can cause us to believe so deeply and completely that we accept it being either real or attainable.

Such are the works of French author, Alexandre Dumas. Among his many works, perhaps the most famous, most known and most often read are: ‘The Count of Monte Christo‘, ‘The Nutcracker‘ (yes he revised an original story which became the ‘Nutcracker Suite’, with music composed by Tchaikovsky). And Dumas penned ‘Prince of Thieves’ (about Robin Hood). Then, this famous French author wrote, ‘The d’Artagnan Romances’ (series) which include, ‘The Three Musketeers’ and ‘The Man in The Iron Mask’, among others.

In the 1998 movie adaptation of Dumas’ work, ‘The Man in The Iron Mask’, we see the characters of the four Musketeers. One was d’Artagnan, as captain of The Musketeers. His character was based on an actual man with that name. And that man was also, really, The Captain of The Musketeers.

The man in the iron mask is portrayed as the identical twin brother of King Louis XIV. But did you know that there is evidence to support that there really was a prisoner that some say wore an iron mask, while others say his identity was hidden for years, behind a black velvet mask. His identity has long been argued and disputed. But the point to all of this here is— there was, a man behind a mask, d’Artagnan was, a Captain of the Guard, Musketeers existed and their famous motto has been around, for many years, before Dumas wrote it in his ‘Three Musketeers‘! So, we see how just enough factual information, can capture our attention and the characters are turned into heroes and heroines, the stuff of legends! And we so often want to be them or at least, be like them.

In this story, the ruling King Louis the XIV was, a corrupt and cruel dictator. To protect his perceived right of rule, Louis kept his identical twin brother Phillipe, in prison for years and his true identity hidden, behind an iron mask.

The Four Musketeers conspired together, to replace Louis with Phillipe. Out from behind his iron mask and with the Four Musketeers together, they now five, do one thing as one and say all together their famous line.

What was that famous motto? “One for all, all for one”. The phrase is from Latin “unus pro onnibus, omnes pro uno”. Symbolically raising or lowering and crossing swords while saying this, marked it.

All for one, one for all”!

The phrase was likely, first used in 1618, in a meeting between leaders of the Bohemian, Catholic and Protestant communities, resulting in a letter in, ‘Defenestrations of Prague’.

Next it was used by Dumas in, ‘The Tree Musketeers’ – 1844.

In 1874, it became the official motto of Switzerland.

Dumas draws us in to his works, by building his characters and making them come alive. In, ‘The Man in the Iron Mask‘, Dumas not only etches the reader’s mind with the specific characteristics of the Four Musketeers, but gives enhanced meaning, to their crossing swords with their spoken motto—

One for all, all for one”!

The virtues of the Musketeers, are virtues we should all strive for:

• Aramis— for his faith (believing), in a cause
• Porthos— for his Passion, for Life
• Athos— for Love, his love of his son and the love he bestowed upon Phillipe, all without reservation or hesitation
• D’Artagnan— for Devotion to something greater, than his own life
• Phillipe— for the potential of us all, to be Great and Kind, Merciful and Forgiving.

There’s nothing so kingly as kindness, and nothing so royal as truth!”

How powerfully these all combined, to make something even greater in, “All for one, one for all”!

Does all the above, remind you of something equally, as powerful?

In signing the Declaration of Independence in 1776, unanimously, they all together, for each and all pledged themselves, to what George Washington often referred to as, ‘The Cause’! They pledged— their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor. Benjamin Franklin said that if they did not all “hang together” (unite), they each, “would hang separately” (by the neck literally).

Even while the words were being signed in 1776, work had already begun on a motto and designs for a seal. Should their seemingly impossible and far-fetched vision be realized, they would need to rely upon divine intervention, “Divine Providence” (favor)! In hope, they prepared and they planned a Great Seal, for official documents. Does this not also, sound like a great work of fiction?

This design, for a great seal, was based on another Latin phrase:- E pluribus unumOut of many, one

It is interesting to note that in 1776, there were 13 colonies and there are 13 letters in this Latin phrase!

By an act of Congress in 1792, the Great Seal and E pluribus unum was, the de facto motto of, The United States of America. This stood, for over 100 years. Then, in 1956, it became and now is, “In God WE Trust.”

Note again: Even in our present motto, unity is still implied by the word, “WE”!

The opening of Our Constitution begins with this unity by one word, “WE” Next, it defines who, “WE” are, not a few nobles or the elite, but “..the People”. Finally, Our Constitution defines under whose authority this government may serve and operate, but also, for whom, for “The People of the United States of America”.

The unity of WE is, applied and connected to Our Constitution, our Great Seal, Our Motto, and inextricably bound to the “WE” of, The Declaration of Independence, in 1776.

These are not mere ideas and ideals of past real people or fictional characters. These are virtues, proven time and time again, to exist. And in reality, where they thrive— Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, all flourish and nourish the entire world!

The words and writings of our founders were not mere words, but histories of these virtues— applied and realized.

Life is a series of challenges, victories and defeat. It is full of sorrow and grief. WE have WEPT individually and together. It is full of laughter and joy. WE have WEPT, one by one, and all together.

Each of US is, wholly and totally unique! There never has been; there is no one anywhere on earth and there never will come anyone, exactly like You!
Each of US are equal! Each of US is, independent! Each of US is, independently responsible! You are strength, without measure! But WE are, even stronger, TOGETHER!!!

So, my Brothers and Sisters, let us take off the masks of our individuality, which keep us hidden and separate, from one another. Let US rely upon Providence (Divine Favor). Then, let us each individually, use the full measure of our individual greatness and let US draw swords of our individual hearts and cross them and together, stand unified, Out of many, one, as WE the People, all for one, one for all!

All these things considered and on today, November 8th, 2018, I do hereby proclaim this, the first annual, National Musketeer Day, or WEPT (WE People Together) Day, or WE Day or, WE The People Day!!! Happy New Beginning!  🙂

If pure law was made to protect the law-abiding (and it was) and not the lawless (and it wasn’t), why does it seem that the law-abiding are punished (and they often are) and the lawless get off FREE, (and they often do)? What is the problem? Is it the law or is it the lawyers? You can answer that for yourself.

But whether you intend to break the law (have criminal intent) or just break it because you are ignorant, unknowing or just incompetent, does this mean there should be little or no consequence? And please do not use the Bill Clinton (lawyer) response, “That it depends on what is, is.”

Dotting all the i’s and crossing all the t’s might be useful (but not necessarily, necessary to understand, in writing sentences and reading them, but it appears to be absolutely necessary; a requirement in legal terms, as is punctuation, capital letters or not, certain words, keywords, and all kinds of extraneous and a superfluity of bullshite loopholes. Lawyers make these legal terms or direct them.

I can certainly understand that punishment for ‘intent’ would be greater than the punishment, for just breaking the law, but because ‘intent’ has not been proven beyond a reasonable doubt, does not or should not mean that no charges are filed, there should not be a jury, or a grand jury, or judge only, should NOT hear the case, try the case and judge that consequences of breaking the law applies, convict if proven guilty and mete out a just punishment, swiftly!!!!

“Justice delayed is justice denied”

The quote above is a legal maxim— an established principle or proposition. Just like lawyers, and congress and government in general can’t agree on much of anything, no one seems to agree on where this quote came from either.

‘Respectfully Quoted: A Dictionary of Quotations, attributes it to William Ewart Gladstone, but it CANNOT be verified.

Some believe it was first used by William Penn in the form of, “to delay Justice is Injustice,” according to:

‘Penn, William (1693), ‘Some Fruits of Solitude, Headley, 1905, p. 86.

Mentions of ‘justice delayed and denied’ are found in the Pirkei Avot 5:7, a section of the Mishnah (1st century BCE – 2nd century CE): “Our Rabbis taught: …

“The sword comes into the world, because of justice delayed and justice denied…,”

The Magna Carta of 1215, clause 40 reads, “To no one will we sell, to no one will we refuse or delay, right or justice.”

Martin Luther King, Jr., used the phrase in the form, “Justice too long delayed is justice denied,” in his “Letter from Birmingham Jail”, smuggled out of jail in 1963, ascribing it to a “distinguished jurist of yesteryear”.

Chief Justice of the United States, Warren E. Burger noted in an address to the American Bar Association in 1970:

“A sense of confidence in the courts is essential to maintain the fabric of ordered liberty for a free people and three things could destroy that confidence and do incalculable damage to society: that people come to believe that inefficiency and delay will drain even a just judgment of its value; that people who have long been exploited in the smaller transactions of daily life come to believe that courts cannot vindicate their legal rights from fraud and over-reaching; that people come to believe the law – in the larger sense – cannot fulfill its primary function to protect them and their families in their homes, at their work, and on the public streets.

The courts are made up of judges and judges are first, lawyers. Lawyers graduate from law schools. Law schools are supposed to teach law and many of the professors may be lawyers or former lawyers that also, graduated from some law school. Sometimes, presidents are lawyers or have a law background. Congress has many former lawyers. The supreme court judges are all, first and foremost, lawyers. The entire government is riddled with lawyers.

Our biggest problem is not with the law per se, it is with the lawyers or the executives, legislators and the judiciary that make the laws, enforce or not enforce them and are more prone to NOT seek justice, but to win their cases, make their arguments, profit from them, protect themselves and their profession; their intuitions of law, and rather than protecting the innocent, they protect the lawless. Loopholes and interpretations, legislating from the bench and not whether one is guilty or not, but what can be proved is, their training and their focus.

No matter what side you may be on with the latest FBI conclusion that no criminal charges against the former Secretary of State and presumptive Democrat nominee for president of the United States, Hilary Clinton, with her mishandling of classified material and the Justice Department accepting that recommendation and no criminal charges will be filed, it’s not the law which is troubling, but the lawyers that wrote, write, interpret, defend or prosecute them, apparently at their discretion and their benefit.

If this is purely political theater (as was said by those who seek to keep this matter going), the Republican Party response seems to go to yet another law and associate it with what the FBI and the Justice Department views as, a closed case. And what law is that? Did the former secretary lie to congress, but not the FBI? But the FBI did not include that testimony in their “comprehensive” investigation. When asked why not, the Director of the FBI said that Congress had not sent them a formal request. To this the person asking said, “You will have one shortly!” So, if this continues, it could only end in a charge or charges of perjury. But perjury will be difficult to prove. The entire matter is laden with corruption and perversion. If the “careless” mishandling of classified material were not concerning on its own, as it is, the lawyers or lawyer-directed legalese that have corrupted and perverted the intent of the law, the law of the land— which is, to protect US, WE the People, from the lawless and punish  the lawless, to me is even more egregious an a threat to national security!

I will give you an example of this corruption and perversion from my own state of New York and my own personal experience.

About a year ago, I was pulled over on the ramp of an entrance to a highway. It was an obvious traffic stop, looking for drunk drivers or to see if people were wearing their seat-belts, I supposed. This was, seat-belt related. After I stopped, an officer approached me and gave me a ticket, as he was told to do, by his supervisor. His supervisor said, that he saw me NOT wearing a seatbelt and to ticket me. Now of course, I would, as most people charged with anything would say, “I’m innocent.” And it does not matter if I really was or not, as you will shortly understand. But I had two choices. I could pay whatever fine was required by my state and county and etc. or try to fight it in court. I decided to go to court.

On my court date, I was given two more choices. I was to either plead guilty and pay whatever the judge said or I could have a trial. Ooops, and I thought I was at trial and the officer would be there? Nope.

OK, I wasn’t there because I was guilty, but before I said I wasn’t, I asked the judge a question, which he allowed. “If I come to trial and plead innocent and win, will they drop all charges and any costs to me, except for my time wasted in coming to court twice? Well the judge informed me that there are no court costs, but there is an administrative fee, which I would have to pay, one way or another. Sure, label that jar of peas, peanut butter, but it’s still peas! Costs or fees, it’s still monies. That’s legalese and PC (political correctness) all rolled into one lump court cost that’s not?

So, let me see if I have this straight? Plead guilty to something I did not do. Pay whatever fine the judge decides. Points are deducted from my license. Enter a plea of guilty that become public record. My insurance most likely will go up. AND I still have to pay the (about) $100, the administrative fee? Yes. And if I go to trial and lose, I may have to pay a larger fine and the $100 administrative fee? Yes. Oh, and one more thing. The police can give me a ticket, even if they know I’ve done nothing wrong because, one way or another, I’m going to have to pay that $100! Is this messed up or what? Does this sound like extortion, racketeering and collusion to you? Is it the law or the lawyers that wrote it or directed it? Well, my prosecution rests! 🙂

WE the People, should ALL file a class action suit against the law profession?! WE the People should just sue the legal profession, sue the hell out of them! But who would do it for US? Who could WE get to represent US?????

Another maxim—

“He who represents himself has a fool for a client.”

A supposed quote by Abraham Lincoln?

This proverb is based on the opinion, probably first expressed by a lawyer, that self-representation in court is likely to end badly. As with many proverbs, it is difficult to determine a precise origin, but this expression first began appearing in print in the early 19th century. An early example comes in ‘The flowers of Wit’, or a choice collection of bon mots, by Henry Kett, 1814:

…observed the eminent lawyer, “I hesitate not to pronounce, that every man who is his own lawyer, has a fool for a client.

In the play, King Lear, by William Shakespeare, In Act I, Sc. 4, the king’s fool makes a lengthy rhyming speech, containing a great many trite, but useful moral maxims, such as:

Have more than thou showest,
Speak less than thou knowest, &c.,

The king found that testy and flat and tiresome.

Lear. This is nothing, fool.
Fool. Then, ‘tis like the breath of an unfeed lawyer: you gave me nothing for it.

Representing oneself in Latin is, acting pro se, which means, for oneself.

If WE could find among US, a lawyer(s) that could and would represent US, would they be a fool, in representing themselves as well? And their profession might think them a fool, if they dare go against them? Are WE then just shite (old English term, you figure out its current meaning) out of luck? Are WE, without representation? Are WE, without a prayer? Are WE, up a creek without a paddle? NO!

WE the People have two, to represent us— The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America. One these two documents, all the law and all the laws of the United States are supposed to be based on. The legal profession does NOT view them like that!

Regardless of what the courts might rule, the Declaration of Independence is not some past historical writing of its time and just some relic to be archived in a museum. I was then and remains a legal document, an affidavit  of fact and conclusions. In logic, it presents its factual premises (whereas) and its conclusions (therefore). It is the the foundation of Our Republic. It is Our raison d’être (reason to be). It is (WE are), The Apple of Gold in a picture of silver. It is Our Constitution which is the picture of silver, made of , by, and for WE the People, to protect, defend and preserve for ourselves and our  posterity, Our unalienable rights! The picture was made to serve US, WE the Apple of Gold, and NOT US, for the picture of silver!

Regardless of what any court might rule, the preamble to Our Constitution and the entirety of Our Constitution is relevant, essential and inseparable to the Declaration of Independence and to US, WE the People, the Apple of Gold! WE the people do have standing, and state, and original jurisdiction, to bring this case before them! Consider the following excerpts.


“The word “Unalienable” appears in one of the greatest phrases of The United States of America’s history.”

“We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men [all-inclusive noun] are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

“The Kansas City Court of Appeals for the State of Missouri quoted verbatim the above language of 1776 with approval in Morrison v. State, 252 S.W.2d 97 (Mo. Ct. App 1952), and then went on to say (also quoting):”

Inalienable rights: Rights which are not capable of being surrendered or transferred without the consent of the one possessing such rights. Morrison v. State, 252 S.W.2d 97 (Mo. Ct. App. 1952).”

“You can surrender, sell or transfer inalienable rights if you consent either actually or constructively. Inalienable rights are not inherent in man and can be alienated by government. Persons (not individuals) have inalienable rights.”

“Most state constitutions recognize only inalienable rights. Here we have the so-called same defined words of unalienable and
inalienable being separated, not as the same thing, but differently and by an appellate court judge.”

“You and I may think inalienable and unalienable mean the same thing, but apparently, courts and states do not. Therefore, what is unalienable cannot be taken or transferred and relates itself to rights, and what is inalienable, could be surrendered or transferred if by consent and relates itself to privileges. Words have meaning and carry rights and results or privileges and consequences.”

“In U.S. vs. JOHNSON (76 Fed, Supp. 538), Federal District Court Judge James Alger Fee ruled that,”

“The privilege against self-incrimination is neither accorded to the passive resistant, not to the person who is ignorant of his rights, nor to one who is indifferent thereto. It is a fighting clause. Its benefits can be retained only by sustained combat. It cannot be claimed by attorney or solicitor. It is valid only when insisted upon by a belligerent claimant in person.”

McAlister vs. Henkle, 201 U. S. 90, 26 S.Ct. 385, 50 L. Ed. 671; Commonwealth vs. Shaw, 4 Cush. 594, 50 Am. Dec. 813; Orum vs. State, 38 Ohio App. 171, 175 N.E. 876.

Here again we find a federal court judge using both the words “privilege” and “rights.” From the context, this is referring to the 5th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Did you ever think that a judge would make such a ruling?”

“OUR privileges and inalienable rights could be taken or transferred, but if you or I want OUR unalienable rights protected, WE have to fight for them and become “belligerent.” WE out of necessity, to protect OUR rights, must stand in contempt of court. Words have meaning and they carry results or consequences.”

Here in the ruling is, but one example of division, or separation and in essence, an adversarial relationship.”

Just imagine, just suppose we were able to actually get a court to hear this case. What do you think their decision would be? Yes, for themselves, the defendants! OK, so what if we get it appealed, all the way to the United States Supreme Court? What would be their decision? Would they allow US, WE the People, to RESET our Republic or rule in their favor, to keep their jobs appointed for life? Most likely to keep their job, but for US? Probably— NOT!!!!

Let’s sue the Legal Profession? Let’s bring a class action suit against the legal profession? Let US, WE the People, sue the legal profession, sue the hell out of them? Probably NOT!

Do you know why Lady Justice is blindfolded? Well, I used to believe she could see, but she blindfolded herself on purpose or purposefully, for equality; for equal justice. Now, I’m really starting to think the legal profession poked her eyes out so, she would not know the scales were being tipped (imbalanced) and the whole legal profession rigged the system, for their exclusive benefit!


There must be a better way? There is! It involves bypassing the legal profession entirely, but it is legal and the legal profession must YIELD, to the authority and power of, WE the People! Another Blog post on another day. Look for, The Thirteen Coming Soon!

Damn the Appearance of Evil

The four wise monkeys— speak no evil, hear no evil, see no evil and do no evil

Damn the appearance of evil!

Now maybe this will anger you or maybe not, but this is from me. It is from my blog, this blog. These are my words and my thoughts and the last time I looked, this is still the home of the brave and the land of the FREE! When last I knew, I am still entitled to my opinion. I think there are sufficient facts to bear out the reasons for my conclusions.

My opinions were formed long ago, when both the Clinton’s and I were living in the state of Arkansas. So it’s clear, we three were not living together. 🙂 We were just in the same state. I’ve never met either of them. Setting one aside, suffice it to say, I have never liked, respected or trusted, Hillary Clinton. Let there be no mistake about this, she is presently under CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION, by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). That is a fact.

Possible charges of espionage and corruption by the Clinton Foundation and/or the Clinton Global Initiative aside, whether intentional or not, she is at least lacking PERMISSION if not guilty of, having used a private server for email. She did have and did use a private server and that is a fact.

According to many polls, about 60% of those asked, do not trust her handling of this matter and many other matters, not here addressed. That is a present fact. Her favorability is way low and that is a fact.

It is a presidential political year and that is a fact. She recently became the presumptive Democratic Nominee for president, based on the delegate count (including super delegates) and she was recently endorsed by the current president and a U.S. senator from Massachusetts. Those are facts.

After almost two years, Hillary Clinton finally agreed to appear on Fox News. That is a fact. It is no surprise that she as well as many, do not like Fox News. In an election year such as this, it only makes sense to get your message out to as many people as possible, wherever possible, even if it happens to be through Fox News. But she did appear recently and sat down for an interview with Bret Baier, June 8, 2016. That is a fact. Please watch the following video, all the way to the end (about 7 minutes 56 seconds), before you return to this post.

My take and my point in the above video and for this entire post is, the confidence in which she replied, to Bret Baier’s final question.


“The Clinton Foundation Investigation, The FBI Investigation, The Email Investigation, what you’re saying is, there is 0 chance, for this to be a problem, for you in this election?”


“Absolutely. That’s what I’m saying. That happens to be the truth.”

I marvel at her confidence!!! Although I question her judgment, ethics and ulterior motives, I have never and do not question this woman’s intelligence! I believe it is in NOT within the realm of possibility, for her to look anyone in the eyes and boldly and with conviction, tell a lie! However, I do not perceive this in her final statement above, to Bret Baier. So, I take her at her word and she said it confidently— without reservation or hesitation. Is it “truth” because she has done nothing wrong or is it “truth” (her word even though it would be a fact) that she will never be held accountable for her actions? Truth is universal and unchanging, but facts can change.

Now, all of the above leads me to my opinion.

I do not believe the Obamas’ or the Clintons’ have ever liked or respected one another. I still don’t! I believe her appointment, as Secretary of State was, nothing more than appeasement and for God knows what, political purposes. I am quite confident that the president would like to see his legacy continue into at least, the next four years. There is no one running, for his office, more suited than Clinton to his purposes, with all due respect to Bernie Sanders.

I believe that Hillary is smarter than the president. I believe she purposefully set up a private email server to control the data between herself and the State Department and even the White House, and to hide the trail of her doings so to speak, and to shield her from Freedom of Information requests (FOIA), even IF it was just a matter of her not trusting our own government, the same government that employed her.

It is a fact that the president has been found to have sent and received at least two emails, over the past however many years, from then Secretary of State Clinton’s, private email server. IF the FBI ever recommends to the Department of Justice, criminal charges, and IF the DOJ proceeds with a grand jury, and IF she would ever be indicted, the president of the United States could be called as a witness, and he would be complicit in corresponding (knowingly or not) over an unsecured email server! And it would not matter if it was sensitive, confidential, classified or even personal!

I do not know what and when the FBI will conclude their investigation. I do not know what their recommendations will be (if any). But based on Clinton’s confidence that there is “O chance,” of any of these things being a problem to her in this election, even IF the FBI recommends charges to the Department of Justice, the DOJ will NOT, absolutely NOT bring charges, convene a gran jury, nor will she ever be indicted or spend a moment in jail or prison for any, if any, wrong doings!!!

It won’t matter how many emails were deleted (at least 30,000), how many that have been redacted, how many were sensitive, confidential, classified, if her email server was hacked once or possibly more (and even possibly by foreign governments), how many lives may have been put into jeopardy or that the security of the United States of America has been compromised, there is “O chance,” she will ever be indicted! And if she were, I am CONFIDENT that the president of the United States has the power to not only pardon her, but himself as well!

Damn my evil surmising imaginings or damn this corruption within the bowels of Our Republic, but damn Hillary Rodham Clinton, for— THE APPEARANCE OF EVIL!

PenofRevolutio2John Dickinson, often referred to as the “penman of the Revolution,” was an American statesman, and a delegate to the Continental Congress. During the Second Continental Congress, there was high tension among the delegates and intense debate over revolution, but Dickinson refused to vote for or sign the Declaration of Independence, saying the emerging nation was not ready for open revolt against the most powerful empire on earth. In the end, he abstained from voting so that the overall tally for independence would be unanimous. He supported the revolution in many other ways and even in battle. He was one of the writers of the Articles of Confederation. Dickinson also helped draft the U.S. Constitution. He was born in 1732 and won fame in 1767, as the author of, ‘Letters from a Farmer in Pennsylvania,’ his Pennsylvania Chronicle, a series of 12 essays.

Dear reader, I write this NOT to convince anyone or persuade anyone of anything. I write it ONLY because, I care. I care about you! As Eye See it, the United States of America is at a crossroads of unknown challenges or consequences, IF we fail to get this one shot right! If WE the People fail to act, this may be our last opportunity? The time for uniting is far past. We are divided. We are upon a precipice. The past is rapidly disappearing behind US. The time for going back is no more. We must leap to something unknown. I dare you to continue below!

There are those that do not care; have never cared; will never care, but rather take pleasure in gutting this whole republic and seeing it burn down in flames! And those enemies are not only from without, they are among US, not a people supplanted or brought here, but our own. I dare you to continue below!

For many, with anger and fear, they find themselves upon unfamiliar ground to have to leap, to believe and trust in something they cannot see, hear, smell, taste or touch. But leap WE all must! I dare you to continue below!

But this is not yet, the time of despair, for as long as life beats within our chest and breath still fills our lungs, we are alive. As long as WE still have our Constitution, we have hope. HOPE, slim as it might be, but there is still hope. There is always hope, for some of us, if not all of us. I would like it to be, all of us! What is reflected in OUR eyes; in your eyes? What is in the apple of your eye and mine? What is the core or in the depth of your being and mine? I dare you to continue below!

Dear reader, I appeal to you to read this from start to finish. I dare you to share this with your every beloved and every friend you have un-friended or that has un-friended you; every enemy— to mail it, email it, post it, repost it, shout it and tweet it from sea to shining sea! I will submit this for your consideration and I will use whatever means I can, to communicate this, even to quote from little known and the most unlikely of sources. I dare you to continue below!

Do we not understand that even if we may be upon the right track, we can be run over, if we just stand there? Do we not understand that truth, the precious healing power of truth, can hurt if unheeded? Remember our quote of childhood, “sticks and stones can break our bones, but words can never hurt us?” Do we still teach this lie to our children? Have we ever recovered from broken bones? Can we EVER recover from the toxic words that can disintegrate our bones, break our hearts and cast us into the abyss of, as if we were, never known; have never lived, and will be remembered no more? Our times are nothing new, but where we go from here, will be, to us and future generations, determined by, what we now do. But our times remind me of something I’ve read, long ago that was written far, far longer ago— “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair…” These are the opening words of chapter 1, ‘A Tale of Two Cities,’ by Charles Dickens in 1859. Dear reader, I dare you, to continue reading below.

This book was written about two cities, two main characters and two contrasts (possible outcomes or destinies) during the times of, the French Revolution. This is not unlike our times. Today, our choices reside in two dominant political parties, two ideas, two main characters and two possible outcomes. We are divided and this division between us is predominantly, fear and anger. Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

The Democratic-Republican Party was the American political party in the 1790’s of, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison, formed in opposition to the centralizing policies of the Federalist party. It came to power in 1800, and dominated national and state affairs until the 1820’s, when it faded away. This party split and resurfaced as the separate parties we know today as, the Democrat and Republican parties. Each claim Jefferson as their founder, then later one was the party of Lincoln and the other of FDR or Franklin Delano Roosevelt. These two divided parties are still divided, but now more than ever, many of us have come to realize that they are the ones that divide us, to gain or maintain their political power and influence over us, for whom they treat US as their servants. They are angry and they are afraid and they pass this on to us, WE the People that they are, supposed to serve. Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

In short, these two parties target us by promising more from the government and the other promises us less government or limited government. And both promise democracy, but the power they hold is not by the majority of the people that give it, but by the money, delegates and the electoral college (the few) that decide the elections. We are angry and we are afraid and even more, we have never known or have forgotten, who and what we are. Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

At the close of the Constitutional Convention of 1787, he was asked a question by a woman (emphasis implied). It was NOT, “Well Doctor, what have we got, a [democracy] or a [oligarchy]?” It was a, “republic or a monarchy?” And his answer was not a democracy, but— “A republic if you can keep it.”— Benjamin Franklin. Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

In most of our lifetimes, this has been what we’ve been taught and what we still believe that we are a democracy. But this is NOT what the signers of our Constitution thought, taught or signed. For simplicity sake, let us be clear. A democracy is the rule by the majority. A Republic is the rule by law, NOT to limit US, but the government! Use the word “power” if you do not like the word “rule” for both. Laws are replaced with regulations by Congress, presidential proclamations or executive orders, and overthrown, upheld and even changed by the Supreme Court. Into the hands of our government, WE have surrendered more and more of our liberty under the fear of threat to national security, national crisis, state of emergency or the promises made, un-kept. “Those who surrender freedom for security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one.”— Benjamin Franklin. Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

Amidst the troubles of our times, our practical and all but declared bankruptcy, our loss of jobs and the fears for our futures and that of our children, we turn towards the government to help us or we turn from it. We are angry and we are afraid. Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

In the midst of this turmoil and in this presidential election year, it began quite simply with two presumed choices for president. One is named Clinton and the other is named Bush. But the people spoke and there has been an uproar and an uprising. Bush is out or has at least suspended his campaign, for perhaps the hope for something to happen or a brokered convention? But for now, he is out and Clinton is NOT the all-but-done deal. Over 60% of people asked, don’t trust her and yet, she has still been winning about 50% and more of the vote and a whole lot more of the delegates than she has earned. The math simply does not add up. Why, if she is not trusted, would so many vote for her? Is it experience? Is it fear of losing what they believe the last seven years has brought them? Is she their hope of continuing the legacy of the present administration? Is she just a vote against the anger and fear of the other party taking over? But there is fear and anger that what this administration means to many and what she stands for, does NOT do enough; go far enough! Enter another candidate that speaks to this anger and to this fear that even this administration has not done enough; gone far enough. Enter a democratic socialist. Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

Bernie Sanders has been made by not only the Democrat party, but the Republican party, the media and a divided people as well. He speaks to many with his voice, their silent voices of anger and fear. He is well liked. He is trusted. He is an insurgent who speaks of the wanton waste, abuse and corruption in government and capitalism, particularly of those of great wealth at the expense of all others and often even their bailout, by the people. But it is not so much his person that is met with anger and fear, it is what he represents. Few care or know that his first paycheck in life was at age forty and it was then and has been ever since, been provided by the government, “of, by and for the people…,” he so often quotes, Abraham Lincoln, a republican. But he himself, he is not a republican, he is a socialist, a democratic socialist. Some argue against any form of socialism and some argue that we already are, a socialist country, just as we are already, a democracy. But socialism is not new to this country. It has been here as a party in some form, since the 19th century. Many think of the ‘Hippies’ of the 1960’s as Utopian socialists. Socialists were here in the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and are still here in the 21st century with several of their members serving, in our present government. But after losing many national elections, a leader of their party suggested they stop using the word socialist and use progressive instead and move it all, into the democrat party, and the people will vote for them! Most of us have no idea what socialism is. Democracy, progressiveness, and socialism are all, one and the same. They all share the idea that government must provide for all, all we need. But I will only be brief in a description of socialism. As Eye See It, democracy is, the goal of socialism. “The goal of socialism is communism.”— Vladimir Lenin. In keeping with Charles Dickens and his Tale of Two Cities, Bernie Sanders represents the “best of times” because, he clearly shows the pulse of the divided country and brings to light clearly, what is on people’s minds. He rallies against waste, abuse and corruption. He defines our present government as an oligarchy. He has raised more individual contributions (about 4 million) than any candidate in history, with the average contribution of around $27. His support is broad-based among the many differences of many men and women. He is beholden to no major donors or super PACS (political action committees). Bernie Sanders is, “the best of times.” But, Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

Bernie Sanders represents, the “worst of times” because, he shows the pulse of the divided country and brings to light clearly, one possible outcome of our fragile republic. His support clearly shows how far people are willing to go to revolt and transform this country even further than, it already has been. Most don’t believe we now are under or understand what an oligarchy is until— they realize it basically means, power in the hands of a few. And if Sanders’ is successful in his call for revolution, he will become one of the few, a different kind of a few perhaps, but still one of the few. But his non-lead shows that either the majority of his party are not willing to go as far as his vision promotes or he is just not considered electable. Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

On the republican side, enter one outsider, made by both the Democrat and the Republican parties, the media and the divided country. His name is, Donald Trump. He is a wealthy billionaire businessman, celebrity and author. He has been made or brought to presidential candidate status by the perceived failures of the Democrat party. He has been made or brought to the forefront of the 2016 political process by, the very party he represents (the Republican party), and the media and a divided people, angry and afraid. He is greatly disliked and feared by the democrats, his own party, independents and the media. And despite all of this, he is outperforming ALL expectations. Pundits cannot figure him out. He is self-funding and beholden to no one, though many argue he is, only to himself and his own self-interests and his perceived, braggadocios and all encompassing ego. But he cannot seem to be caused to cave or pushed aside. His support is broad based and his supporters appear to be unmovable. He is the break against and the champion against, political correctness. In keeping with Charles Dickens and his Tale of Two Cities, Donald Trump represents the “best of times” because, he clearly shows the pulse of the divided country and brings to light clearly, what is on people’s minds. He rallies against waste, abuse and corruption and especially ineptitude and incompetence. His support is broad-based, for he appears to represent the former silent majority. Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

With Donald Trump, we have only to look at his history of business. Will like his business history, will he make a better deal in ‘making America great again’? Trump represents the “best of times” because, a better deal is, what many are seeking, not a politician, someone well-spoken, polite or even a deeply religious leader, but a better deal-maker. His own running clearly shows that our government has been poorly run as if, it were a business. Surely a businessman, could make a better deal? But these are also, the worst of times. Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

Donald Trump represents, the “worst of times” because, with his vision and the agenda he has set for America, he has brought out the opposite of a quote from the first inaugural address of Abraham Lincoln— “We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory will swell when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.” Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

Donald Trump represents, the “worst of times” because, we are not friends, but enemies; our passions have been strained perhaps, beyond measure  and our once united and bonds of affection are broken. And we are now so close to forgetting that there ever was a time we were united. The lie is now called the truth and the darkness is called the light. Those that believe he is nothing, but a con-man, are themselves conned. For WE all have been conned by the two parties of con! Donald Trump represents the “worst of times” because, those that oppose him clearly show that WE the People are divided. Many have promised or threatened to vote for the other party, not vote at all, leave the party or the country if, he becomes the republican nominee or is somehow elected president. These threats or promises (depending on your perspective) are not just from the democrats, but the republicans and independents too! In Donald Trump, we clearly see and vent the worst devils of our nature. These are, “the worst of times.” Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

Political unrest! Economic uncertainty! A future paused, interrupted or a republic lost! We are divided! We can no longer even agree to disagree. We are heading towards the unknown, fueled with a great and seemingly, bottomless reservoir of explosive anger and fear is a lit match. The time for uniting is, no more. We will either push off and on towards a revolution or a movement. Nothing stays the same; all will be changed. Whether we end up with more government or less of a government or even a functioning one, is only part of what lies ahead to be seen, if the smoke ever clears or any is left alive or still have eyes to see? The Supreme Court now has only the possibility of a 4-to-4 split. A new judge must be appointed to maintain the balance or totally transform it, depending on the results of the presidential election. There may soon be more judges, for the new president to appoint? The court will side towards either more or less government. The pendulum has already swung far left. Will it cease from swinging, swing further left and stop or swing far, far right? Either way, a pendulum swinging must return to its center; its balance. And for the moment of this writing, our only political hope for balance is, the Constitution of the United States of America. Whether it is allowed to remain as is; as was written; as was intended, a document written with a pen of iron, upon a rock, a bedrock, for all generations or as others believe, a ‘living thing’ changed at will, it is, still here! It is our contract with the government to limit the government or our right to abolish and form something new. If we head over the cliff in this revolution, it does not ever need to be replaced, as it remains now changed and thus, permanently altered? But if we head over the cliff of this movement, will we ever regain what it was? Will it then be replaced with or without our will, with something new? But it is, for now, still here! WE are divided. WE will either push US off this cliff to one possible outcome or the other. WE all will leap or we will be pushed. Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

As Eye See it, what is in your eye? What do you behold? What WE all see is anger and fear of both parties, the media, business and greed! And I submit to you Dear reader that WE have allowed this. We have brought US to this day and time. I, in my own weakness and failure to stand for you and for what is right have diminished you! I, in my own ignorance have misled you, ill-fed you with unintended consequences and I, have in anger and fear aided and abetted the enemy as if, I had willingly conspired. No Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, Roosevelt, Kennedy, Reagan, Clinton, Bush, Sanders, Trump, or any other can unite us, there are no more those that can unite, nor are WE even looking for them. WE are, divided. ONLY WE the People can save us by what has been given to US and the truths and the principles upon which others lived; pledged their lives; their fortunes; their sacred honor; their“last ounce of devotion…,” — [Abraham Lincoln] and  died to defend! Now is not a time to unite, but to take a stand! And if over this cliff i or WE must, it is far, far better to stand upon our feet and leap, than to kneel and be pushed by the anger and fear of slavery, unless we kneel before the throne of mercy and find grace! What WE now hold in our hands will be left or lost to the next generations. But I give to you another option; another hope? Everything We Consume is Safe – It’s The Law?

In another one of my WordPress blogs, Dirty Little Secrets , I posted this under a different title, ‘The Dirty Little Secrets of the Pusher.’  Chapter 24.  There it contains added information, which is more appropriate to the intents and purposes of that blog. Both there and here, it is my intentions to include them both, in chapters of two future books in process. Here, it is intended to be included as a chapter of, (Apple of Gold in a Picture of Silver) which is, a sequel to RESET “An UN-alien’s Guide to Resetting Our Republic.” But here, as well as there, ‘The Pusher’ is, one and the same!

The Pusher?

Yes, the pusher. You know, a person or persons that sells illegal drugs.

Well, what does ‘The Pusher’ have to do with, ‘Everything We Consume is Safe – It’s The Law?


 The argument:

WE the People of the world, DEMAND brighter, better tasting, more flavorful, bigger, more rot-resistant, disease-resistant and cheaper – fruits, vegetables and meats! Farmers DEMAND, higher yields! World hunger and world emotional response to starvation, DEMAND all of these things! What is the cost or price paid, for the delivery of these DEMANDS? The simple answer is, are these SAFE?

The burden of proof is upon Monsanto or any such entity that produce GMO’s (genetically modified organisms) or any such supposed or purported food additives or food modifications to ANY AND ALL FOOD distributed in the United States of America. By definition, this would include: from the air – to the water – to the soil – to plants – to animals – to human consumption or use. HAS THE BURDEN OF PROOF BEEN MET?

These things would also apply to Pharmacology and the practice of Medicine. Are not Pharmacological firms which produce “additives” that are ingested, consumed and/or absorbed, chemical companies? Is this not what Monsanto and such as they are, ALL chemical companies? Familiarize yourself with the following: “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS)!

Answer the following question, for yourselves, after doing your due diligence to research this for yourself. You would need to just look on the shelves of ANY grocery store. Is the DEMAND, for natural food supplements and/or” organics” less, the same or ON THE RISE? Once more, familiarize yourself with the following: “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS)!

Leave that question for the time being. Is the DEMAND, for alternatives (“alternative medicine”) to traditional medicine less, the same or ON THE RISE?  Look on the shelves of any grocery store! Familiarize yourself with the following: “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS)!

I ask again, of you or any such chemical company, are these things produced that we consume or use, “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS)? HAS THE BURDEN OF PROOF BEEN MET?


What DEMANDS these burdens to be met? Public law!

What agency of the Federal Government is charged with monitoring, administrating, enforcing and executing this law? The U.S. Food and Drug administration (FDA)!

Has the FDA, is the FDA – DEMANDING this burden of proof to be met? Are they not charged by law to: monitor, administer, enforce and execute the law in which, they are charged by law to do? What law?

The Food Additives Amendment of 1958 is a 1958 amendment to the Food, Drugs, and Cosmetic Act of 1938. It was a response to concerns about the safety of new food additives. The amendment established an exemption from the “food additive” definition and requirements for substances “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS) by scientific experts in the field,

General Premise or Purpose of the Law:

“An Act to protect the public health by amending the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to prohibit the use in food of additives which have not been adequately tested to establish their safety.”


There you have the law, ladies and gentlemen. It is still on the books! It is still active law in, the United States Code (USC)! It has NOT been rescinded, canceled or overturned by any Congress, President or Supreme Court! It’s still the law!

Have the DEMANDS of burden of proof been met? Have the DEMANDS of the FDA been met?

It is a simple enough solution that can be remedied by a pen! All the President of the United States need do RIGHT NOW is, to sign either an executive order or presidential memorandum (either or have the same effect)[1], DEMANDING that the FDA enforce the law that they are already charged to execute! Why has NOT or is this NOT being done?

I have not mentioned other agencies, branches, departments or other entities in and out of Federal, State or Local government, which are involved. The facts are, almost every single one of them are! The term “thick as thieves,” comes to mind. Why is this?

How could our own country, our own countrymen and women do this to us, WE the People? Surely I’m making this all up? Surely we can trust our government, our food and cosmetics, all the things we purchase and use in our homes, for our babies and children and from bathing, to cleaning and etc.?  Are these ALL, NOT DRUGS or CHEMICALS? WAKE UP!

Now I’m not suggesting that any one of us, WE the People “wake up” to embrace the conspiracy minded folks that believe our government is out to get us!!! The truth is, I DON’T KNOW THAT TO BE TRUE! But I do know, whether by intent or just plain ignorance, it is a corrupt system!

From BIG MONEY ADVERTISING to the media, business and Wall Street and BIG MONEY LOBBYING– to Washington, D.C.– to the FDA– to the Farm and to our homes and tables, we have all been bought and paid for and sold, a bill of goods!!!!

In another century, in the old west, this stuff was simply called, ‘Snake Oil’! Today, just because, this ‘snake oil’ has not made us sick or killed us, does not mean it’s still not what it is, ‘snake oil!’ And just because the ‘snake oil’ sellers said it was good for us, and the labels tell us it’s good for us, does not mean, it’s still not – just ‘snake oil.’ And just because the sheriff (FDA) has either turned a blind-eye or have not run these ‘pushers’ out of town, does not mean it’s because, our ‘snake oil’ is safe! Do we really know what’s in it and what is not? And just because there exists some legal ‘mumbo-jumbo’ or “disclaimer,” does NOT mean those responsible are excused from the Burden of Proof or not to be held accountable! They are, they, whomever you are!  These things are NOT our burden to prove, it is the burden that we all bare and that we all share!

Under law, the law has been usurped or laws made to not enforce the laws that are still, laws, on the books! Yes, it is a corrupt system! Those that are bound by oath, have so bound themselves to all these laws, that even if they wanted to, they could not change them!

It is as if, they were like blind hamsters, in a cage, blinding going nowhere and are just spinning an endless wheel, never, ever stopping, always turning and making a mess.


The cage or the room is, as if, it were our country! The wheel is, as if, it is us, WE the People!

In a country of over 300 million people, a president, a few hundred members of Congress, the 12 Supreme Court judges and all those which work for these three branches of government (actually for us), make all the rules, regulations and laws that affect all of us. When did the needs and wants of these few, become greater than the needs and wants of the many – the rest of us, WE the People?

If government has so bound themselves that even they cannot change these things, then the only remedy; the only solution is for us, WE the People to change these things! WE need to RESET!

If you think or believe that I am just trying to frighten you, I have exaggerated, am mistaken or that I am lying about any of this, then prove me wrong and I will cease and desist or just shut-up! If you are too busy or just don’t care to do that, then prove me wrong, for those others that may read this. If you think or believe that everything is Okey-Dokey, Peachy-Keen, Just Fine, OK, Copasetic and Safe, then prove to me I am wrong. If you are still too busy and just don’t care about any of this or me, are you absolutely sure these things are SAFE, for the future of your children?

If you think or believe that there is nothing you can do about any of this, think again and believe differently! You need to understand who you are! You are, one of WE the People, endowed with, endued with and imbued with immense power! WE the People are the power of government. Our government is– of, by and for us, WE the People!

What is the meaning of this picture? What do the words mean?

In the front, we see an apple of gold with a green leaf. This is indicative of a gold (precious and beautiful, and very valuable) apple. The green leaf means it is a ‘living’ and growing object. There are words within this apple. They are the words from, The Declaration of Independence, in 1776. The apple of gold appears to be three-dimensional and is emphasized by the shadow it casts onto the frame of silver beneath. The apple of gold takes up most of the space of the interior frame, but it also appears to suspend over the space. For it alone is, free and independent. The picture of silver is only a servant and protector.

Beneath this apple of gold there are other words. These are from The Constitution of the United States of America, in 1789. To the left of the apple of gold, the word “WE” is emphasized. It is from the Preamble to The Constitution and the single word “WE” is, suggestive enough that the first three words of The Constitution, “WE the People,’ are filled in by our minds and understood.

The entire image is framed by a frame or a ‘picture of silver.’ Framing enhances; is used to draw attention to and emphasizes the object or the subject that is framed.

From The Declaration of Independence, WE have in our founding writing, a preamble if you will that in part states, its purpose for the writing.

In the second paragraph of the same document, the foundation and source of this entitlement is, set forth.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

The Declaration of Independence is, a legal document which states the just causes of separation from England. It clearly states its logical premise and its logical conclusion. This premise and this conclusion are based on and centers on the truth that all (men, women and children) are, “created equal!” Each are endowed with certain unalienable rights (rights which can NOT be taken, surrendered, forfeited, sold, bartered or given away. Among these certain rights are: Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness!”  This is or WE each are together, the ‘Apple of Gold.’

In 1776, 1789 and even in the King James Version of the Bible in 1611, common language used of those days (sometimes still today) were, “we the king.” This has been used of the present Queen Elizabeth of England as, “We the Queen of England.” The plural pronoun was used, for a single entity, to empathize the power of the station. The king would include, every man, woman and child of the kingdom. In our Constitution, the picture of silver, the words are, “We the people.” This phrase too, emphasizes the power of the station and would include, every man, woman and child.

The “all men” of The Declaration of Independence is, an all-inclusive noun and would include, every man, woman and child. Each and all are, apples of gold, framed by pictures of silver.

The people of a kingdom are bound by compulsion and often, by a sworn oath to obey. We the people are bound together by the creation of our equality and each apple of gold is endowed with, certain unalienable rights. Whereas the people of a kingdom have in common, the royal that binds them, we are bound not by sworn oath, but liberty to choose for ourselves and together, by our unalienable rights. What WE the People, the apple of gold have in common is, not our multiple colors or beliefs or anything other than, such unalienable rights as, Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness! This connection is reflected in the phrase that appears on the Seal of the United States and is stamped on our currency, every dollar and every cent. The words are Latin and are, E pluribus unum, “Out of many, one” or alternatively translated as, “One out of many.” or “One from many!”

It is our unity of purpose, our equality of creation that connects us as family. The same bloodline of liberty flows in each of us. Each of us carry the identical DNA code of, unalienable rights. Each of us are, an apple of gold and together, the Apple of Gold!

But before these universal truths became the law of our land; an accomplished reality and having exhausted every civil and logical means to address their grievances to the king and his agents to no avail, our fore-family resisted by first, civil disobedience, as in the ‘Boston Tea Party.’ After every civil, courteous, and logical means were spent and all having fallen on the figurative deaf ears of the king, our fore-family, the apples of gold then, they legally declared their just causes against the rule of any man, royal or tyrant.

Our fore-family, their commitment and resolve, far exceeded their own efforts to realize for themselves; to hold and to be the accomplished reality of, the apple of gold. Their hope was, that their efforts if never realized for themselves, would one day be a realized and accomplished and a living reality, in their progeny. WE the people are, their progeny! WE the People are, their children! WE the People are, their family! WE the people are, the apple of gold in a picture of silver!

If you look upon the present day with horror and at the terror within our present world that this present is, somehow unique to our day and time, WE the People, need to read or re-read; research the history of our own fore-family. They endured equal if not greater acts of barbarism and acts of less than, animalistic cruelty. They endured rape and pillage and plunder. They endured chemical warfare. They endured drowning, burning by fire, slit throats and scalping and even the visage of some that were beheaded, whose heads were placed on spikes as, trophies of defeat and warnings to fear, the conquerors! It was their hope by which they fought and endured. It was their hope which drove them forward to, hope against all hope. It was their love of liberty and this seemingly impossible thought of defeating, the greatest military and power of the time. It was their hope which drove them forward beyond starvation, lack of resources, sickness, disease, capture and imprisonment and even probable death! It was this slimmest of hope by which they endured, death and destruction by their own mother country (England) and even at the hands of or opposition from, their own friends and families. That hope was, for the living truth of, WE the People, the apple of gold!

The Declaration of Independence was in essence, an affidavit. It was signed unanimously. In a sense, John Hancock, whose signature was visibly larger than the others (as if on purpose) was, like the notary public, since most probably, he was the most recognized signer.  This affidavit, with its “whereas(s)” and concluding “therefore” was, a legal document in that it showed their just cause to the king and to the entire world that the king himself, had broken laws (the Magna Carta) that he had no legal right to do. It showed to the king and to the world, their right to be recognized, to represent themselves in all matters as a sovereign state, to conduct commerce and trade with the world as, free and independent states.

The Declaration was written and delivered to the King. It still fell on deaf ears and was wholly rejected. The Declaration of Independence was again, signed unanimously and each and every signer, pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor, for the vision of independence and the right to self-direct and self-govern.

In the preamble to The Constitution, its first words read, “We the People…” The word “We,” refers back to The Declaration of Independence and again these words: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men (and all women and all children) are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” The “WE” of The Constitution are, the same “WE” of, The Declaration of Independence!

When independence was won, We the People knew then that government is or can be corrupted and is, an evil thing, but that it was a, ‘necessary evil.’ So to protect the rights of individuals, the individual “states” (then 13) unanimously agreed to form a government and this legal document was called formally the, ‘Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union,’ in 1781.

The words, “perpetual union” were stricken from The Constitution and replaced with the words, “…in order to form a more perfect union.” This is a figure of speech because, there can be nothing “more perfect,” than something that is already perfect. The idea of the union of individual states, full of individuals, in a sense or as a concept was perfect, but a “more perfect union” was, just the idea that the union by growth and change could aspire to; become better as, the individual states; individuals, grew and changed. But the Articles of Confederation of the Union Perpetual was, terminated when, The Constitution was ratified and signed and became the “Law of the Land,” in 1789. With the coming of the greater, the lesser terminated. But The Declaration of Independence, the apple of gold is, still connected to this new form of government,  The Constitution, the picture or frame of silver.

Each individual state agreed to and would pattern their own government as a republic just like, The Constitution.

The government and governments of individual states were designed to protect the individual rights (the apples of gold) and limit the government; all state governments from taking and exercising power over the people that they were, NOT, to ever have. This Constitution of limiting government execution, legislation and judicial decisions is, the picture or frame of silver.

The words, “apples of gold in pictures of silver,” come from the Bible.


“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.”

“A word fitly spoken by you now would be like ‘apples of gold in pictures of silver.'” Alexander H. Stephens, a former Georgia congressman, wrote these words to Abraham Lincoln on December 30, 1860. He quoted from Proverbs 25:11 to persuade Lincoln that a public statement from the president-elect would help greatly in the mounting crisis of the divided country. A student of the Bible in his own right, Lincoln reflected on Stephens’s biblical reference and, in a note to himself, used the “apples of gold” reference to clarify the connection between America’s constitutional union and the principle of “Liberty to all.”

“When (Abraham) Lincoln was elected the first Republican president of the United States on November 6, 1860, he received no votes from nine southern states; what Lincoln called in 1858 the “crisis” of the American “house divided” had come to a head. On December 22, 1860, the president-elect wrote Stephens, a former Whig ally in Congress, to assuage his fears about the incoming administration:…”

“Stephens, who in February 1861 would be elected Vice President of the Confederate States of America, replied with his December 30 letter, which led Lincoln to jot down what is known as his “Fragment on the Constitution and Union.”

The Union, and the Constitution, are the picture of silver, subsequently framed around it. The picture was made, not to conceal, or destroy the apple; but to adorn, and preserve it. The picture was made for the apple — not the apple for the picture.”

Returning once more to The Declaration, we read again the following:

This is, the purpose and reason for, The Declaration of Independence. And this is us, you and I, WE the People that collectively are, this apple of gold, but individually, each of us are an apple of gold, protected by and each with, a picture or frame of silver. This would be what the verse in Proverbs states, “…apples (plural) of gold in pictures (plural) of silver.

To secure the rights of each individual, WE the People (the true power or source of government or the real government) instituted a limited government in The Constitution. This government, this Constitution is, the picture of silver.

As a point of interest, on the Periodic table of the elements, gold is heavier than silver. In dollars and cents, gold costs more than, is more valuable than, silver. You, an apple of gold, carry more weight (greater importance) and are more valuable than, the picture or frame of silver that adorns you!

As a point of comparison, read he following verse from he Bible.


“The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.”

Psalm 12:3, King James Version (KJV)

It is my understanding that silver cannot be any more pure than, by being purified seven times. Silver has long been known, for its purifying properties in medicine and science. Numerically, seven (7) in the Bible is, the number of, spiritual perfection. The “Lord” is, the author of those words and His words were pure words as, silver, purified seven times. The words of The Constitution, the picture of silver in comparison are, the pure words of us, you and I, We the people, from The Declaration of Independence, the apple of gold.

In another Psalm of the Bible, the psalmist says –

“Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,”

Psalm 17:8, (KJV)

The apple of the eyes is, the central aperture of the eye.


“The phrase apple of my eye refers to something or someone that one cherishes above all others.“

Oxford English Dictionary: Apple (section 6 B) “the particular object of a person’s affection or regard; a greatly cherished person or occas. [sometimes] thing.”


This is exactly what We the people of The Declaration of Independence, the apple of gold, ordained and instituted our government, The Constitution, the picture of silver to do, to ever keep us each an apple of gold, in the apple of its eye!

Wings indicate the ability to fly and soar, to preserve and protect us, the apples of gold, to carry us and hide us (protect us) under the shadow of its wings. And this is precisely what We the people, the true and only government, the foundation and purpose of The Declaration of Independence, by which, we ordained and instituted our servant, The Constitution, the picture of silver to do. And this is, to preserve and protect our rights, our liberty and our freedoms!

This institution of, by and for the people is, the purpose and reason, for The Constitution, the picture of silver. And WE the People are, the apple of gold. We, the apple of gold, should ever be, the apple of the eye of The Constitution, the servant-serving government, the picture of silver!

WE the People, ordained and established this Constitution, this picture of silver and WE the People, can alter it or abolish it and institute and ordain new government IF, and WHENEVER, WE so choose!

Some believe that our form of government is wholly unacceptable, for our day and time. They would argue that it was perhaps the best in its day, but its day has long gone. They would say that our form of government is unable to handle the needs of over 300 million people who live here today, without expanding the frame or picture of silver. Some also, argue that our original system of government was, only for men, white men and men that owned property. Many today argue that our original form of government excluded women and children and all other races, religions and ethnic backgrounds, but especially all others of any other socio-economic status, except for those of wealth. They would point towards the miss-treatment of slaves and the native Americans of  this country as well as, others. Under the premise that they are addressing the needs of all, they are actually on behalf of a select few, in practice, trying to rob all of us, of our unalienable rights. Even with good intentions, they have grown the picture or frame of silver, at the expense of the apple of gold. Many of these people are graduates of our finest Universities and Colleges in this country and may themselves purport to be of superior intellect. Many of them hold doctorate degrees. Many are lawyers and judges. Surely all these people know what is best, for the rest of us? In case you missed what I just wrote, let me say here now so there is no misunderstanding – it was with sarcasm!

The whole aim of education is to act. To be able to act, there must be understanding or blind following. The purpose of education is NOT to make blind followers, but to lead out of darkness and into the light; into something better. In order to do this, everyone must understand – every child and even a fool. Education that cannot be presented clearly and simply in order that ALL CAN UNDERSTAND is, not education or what the meaning of being educated is!

But all of them, all of these elite people, the smart-people in charge, work in and around government. Their fortunes and careers, center in or around government. And they tell us that they are aware of many problems and daily put forth their best efforts, we are told, to solve them. This government, this picture of silver has grown of such size that it is, the largest employer in our entire country. But government is, not a for-profit business. It makes nor produces anything. It is merely a service, empowered by, WE the People, the apple of gold.

There is another group of people who also realize that there are many problems today, in our union, our government, the picture of silver that is supposed to be made, for the apple of gold. They call for a re-resurgent call of say, 1970. In a speech by Howard Zinn, he titled his work then, ‘The Problem is Civil Obedience,’ 1970, from the Zinn Reader, Seven Stories Press.

IF the problem is, civil obedience then by sheer logic, the solution would be, civil disobedience. In fact, this is precisely what Zinn proposes in his speech. He even references The Declaration of Independence, as an example of civil disobedience. But this is an error! The Declaration of Independence, the apple of gold was, and still is, a legal document, not a threat or an act of civil disobedience! They were not disobeying the king. The king had disobeyed the laws that he was not supposed to do. His was an act of, uncivilized disobedience! His was an act of war!

Recently, in the 21st century, just two short years ago, the American actor, Matt Damon, seemed to channel Howard Zinn. Matt Damon read excerpts from a speech Howard Zinn gave in 1970, as part of a debate on civil disobedience. Matt Damon and his family were lifelong friends of the Zinns. Others may like to believe and suggest that Martin Luther King and the march on Washington was, an example of civil disobedience. But it was merely a constitutional –


“…right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”-

– Bill of Rights, part of the first amendment


That March on Washington was NOT a protest, for the government to pass more laws, but for the government to protect the rights of all, that all, already were endowed with! Those rights were written in The Declaration of Independence, The Constitution of the United States and amended in The Constitution, over hundred years before, this march ever took place. They merely marched that the government, their government would enforce the laws they were sworn to uphold, for every citizen, every apple of gold in the picture of silver!

On this video, Chris Cuomo, interviews Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice, Roy Moore and he (Cuomo) states clearly that our rights do not come from God, “they come from man.” If you so choose, you may hear and view it for yourself, on You Tube at:

Despite his intellect and education, this is an ignorant opinion, with absolutely no basis for fact or truth. We the people, the apple of gold were created equal and endowed with, certain unalienable rights, not by man (humanity), but by, “the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God!” It was from man’s law, the laws and broken laws of the king (a man) that We the People, sought separation and independence from and ordained and instituted government to preserve and protect and to remain at liberty, separate and independent of the laws of Man (humanity) and man’s (humanity’s) laws! For rights that come from man (humanity), can be taken away from man (human kind), by man (human kind). But our unalienable rights come from, “the Laws of Nature and Natures God!”

Note: Christopher Charles “Chris” Cuomo is a television journalist, currently at CNN. He previously was the ABC News chief law and justice correspondent, and co-anchor for ABC’s 20/20. He is the son of former New York Governor Mario Cuomo and the brother of current New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo.

Arguments for the egregious usurping of “the Laws of Nature and Nature’s God,” are put forward and pressed because, times have changed and definitions have changed. In fact,  unnecessary, almost un-numbered (seemingly without number) and unholy laws (laws unconstitutional or extra-constitutional) and interpretations have, diminished the apple of gold and greatly increased, the picture of silver!

Almost everyone would agree that there are many problems within our government, our picture of silver that is supposed to enhance and protect us, the apple of gold. But each problem seems to have its own nearly innumerable symptoms and there is some temporary band-aid for the nearly, infinite number of symptoms. But the real problem is not that our system of government, the frame or picture of silver is not enough to frame and protect the apple of gold. For centuries now, ever since 1776, government has grown under the idea that is must grow, in order to protect the many more apples of gold of today. To civilly disobey is, not the solution, unless the government de jure (pure law) was never sufficient, even when first written. But that was and are NOT the facts, the case or the truth. The best way I know how to explain the real problem is, by a picture.

In the picture above, the apple of gold and The Declaration of Independence have nearly all, but disappeared. The Constitution (the original picture of silver) has been, overtaken by many, many other laws, rules and regulations, and interpretations by, the judicial system.

The original Constitution has been, overridden by the books you see within the frame. These are individual volumes which make up the many sections of the U.S. Code. All total, these and other laws and rules and regulations have come to, supersede the original Constitution. The apple of gold has not shrunk, the picture of silver has inordinately become, OVERGROWN! It is more like a mutation or a virus. This may be considered as, government de facto. Another legal term, for this monstrosity of a frame or picture of silver, which now dwarfs the almost invisible apple of gold is called, legal fiction. It is legal because, it proceeds from The Constitution (government de jure), but it is fiction (government de facto) because, it does not really exist. It is merely implied and accepted as, this is, just the way it is (government de facto). But this is NOT the way it is! Why and how can I say this? Because, our system of government, our Constitution, our picture of silver may have been altered, but never abolished nor have We the People, the apple of gold, the source and power of government, ever ordained, established or instituted new Government!

Have you ever heard or read, “the forest cannot be seen, for (because of) the trees?” Today, the apple of gold is almost NOT seen, for the largess of, the picture of silver.

Oh, the apple of gold still exists in theory and once in a while in practice, while the picture of silver continues to grow and expand, for itself, thriving at the expense of us, We the People, the apple of gold, in a picture of silver, pure silver. The bulging present frame is neither silver nor pure!

The Declaration of Independence, the apple of gold, the foundation and purpose of our government, has no legal standing in any court of law! The Preamble to The Constitution, the foundation and purpose of our government, the original picture of silver, has no legal standing in any court of law! This is how The Declaration of Independence and our Constitution, has been interpreted by the law, not of the land, but by man. And this is legal fiction!  But in truth, ANY court of law that does not preserve and protect the apple of gold and the picture of silver, has no legal standing, in either The Declaration of Independence or The Constitution of the United States of America!

The real and true problem lies NOT, in The Declaration of Independence, the apple of gold, or the original Constitution, the frame or picture of silver. The problem is clearly and simply, the fault of usurpers and interpreters that have intentionally or not, in contrast to Abraham Lincoln’s work in ‘Fragment on the Constitution and Union,’ the apple of gold has diminished and has been made, for the largeness of, the Picture of Silver!

But both The Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution, provide us with the ONLY remedy. We the People, the apple of gold, need to RESET_but the picture of silver!

To do this, we must know HOW. But before that, we must know WHY. To do that, We must know WHEN, the exact place and time when, the picture of silver, took over the apple of gold. For the future, we must know and understand our present. To know and understand our present, we must know and understand our past that has gotten us to this day and time. And for this, we must start in 1861. That was the exact year when the picture of silver grew and has not ceased from unnaturally growing, ever since!

Why the Present Government CANNOT Work, Be Sustained and Continue Much Longer

Well, this title might appear shocking to many. It has been so titled not to shock anyone, but to focus upon the real problem that exists in the United States today and by removing the cause, the symptoms will disappear. The cause is the government. WE the People already are aware of it’s many symptoms. In the title of this work it does NOT say, [Our] “Government,” even though this is what it is supposed to be. Are we not WE the People? We are supposed to be! Are we not the authors of the government? We are supposed to be! We are the power of the government! We have the choice to accept it as it is or WE the People have the power to change it and even disband it and form something new!

Let me begin to illustrate this by something that is familiar to many of us, at least those of us that are happy to have work, a job; some form of employment. We either work in the private sector or the public sector or if you prefer, we work for the government whether locally, statewide or the federal government. By the way, the single largest employer in the whole United States is, the government! So, most of us have a vested interest in this work.

We live in a world of technology that is rapidly increasing as is the speed of information that is available to us. But with all the good that can be achieved and enjoyed by this technology and speed, many of us are miserable and disengaged at work. What is wrong with us? Is it us? Is it the work? Or is it the management system of the work itself?

Government did not form WE the People, we formed it. And we did this after declaring our independence, in the Declaration of Independence, in 1776. This was a simple document of just 1,468 words which among other things, declared,

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men [and women] are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

This is Our WHY! The 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln, alluded to the Declaration of Independence as the, “…Apple of Gold.”

In 1789, The Constitution of the United States was ratified by the several states. This document contains just a little over 4,500 words. It is the document of WE the People that formed the government with limited powers, for the express purpose of protecting and defending the WHY or what is declared in the Declaration of Independence. This document is Our HOW. Abraham Lincoln alluded to the Constitution as the, “…picture of Silver.” And he also said, the picture of silver was made for the Apple of Gold, and not the Apple for the picture. The branches of the government were designed by us, to be co-equal and limited. WE recognize that government is both necessary and a necessary evil. By design, the Constitution of the United States was formed for the antagonistic relationship between it and us, WE the People. It was designed that it protect and defend us against all enemies foreign and domestic and especially from it, against us, its founders, designers, authors and formers!

These two documents (the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution), are our reasons WHY and Our HOW and they are stated with few words and intended to be enacted, very clearly and simply. There are many that would argue that the world and the times in which we live are too complicated for these 200 + year old documents to work today. Well then, let us examine how the government has taken what is clear and simple and co-mingled it with the 300+ million people that try to live here now and the complexities of the world in which we live.

Government tries to act like almost any other big business. How have and how do many businesses operate today? What is the management structure? Business (including government) has operated and most still operate by what is often called: The Two Pillars of Management.

The first pillar is Hard. It deals with structure, systems, processes and metrics. The second pillar is Soft. It deals with  feelings, sentiments, interpersonal relationships, traits and personalities. By their very nature, both the Hard and Soft pillars and their separate parts are all independent of one another. Each separate pillar and every single part will do what they are designed to do. As the business or the government expands, all its parts must expand. It is what they do and it is ALL that they do, under this type of management. When you factor in the complexities and the speed in which change is happening today, the complicatedness and the speed in which all the parts must expand become a mathematical nightmare. And herein is why, people are miserable, disengaged and often uncooperative. The why is very simple because, it’s complicated.

Now many people have come to realize that this management style, the two pillars, are obsolete. THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN OBSOLETE!

There is some new thinking with many people and this is slowly being applied by some businesses, but certainly not all of them and most certainly not the government. But this new thinking is not new at all. It’s old. And it can be found in our founding documents, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.

In a recent TED talk, (, Yves Morieux, a senior partner and managing director of the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), presented what he calls: ‘Six Simple Rules For Smart Simplicity.’ Mr. Morieux –

He is an expert in corporate transformation and leads the firm’s development of approaches to help corporations create the structural and behavioral groundwork for competitive advantage.”

1. Understand what people do

2. Increase total quantity of power

3. Increase reciprocity

4. Reinforce integrators

5. Extend the shadow of the future

6. Reward cooperation

“It changes everything, by removing the buffers that make us self-sufficient. When you remove these buffers, you hold me by the nose, I hold you by the ear. We will cooperate. You need to reward those who will cooperate and blame those who don’t cooperate. The C.E.O. of the Lego Group, Jorgen Vig Knudstorp, has a great way to use it. He says blame is not for failure, on my real weaknesses, but if I fail to help or ask for help. I will cooperate because I know I will not be blamed if I fail, but if I fail to help or ask for help. When you do this, it has a lot of implications on organizational design. You stop drawing boxes, dotted lines, full lines; you look at their interplay. It has a lot of implications on financial policies that we use. On human resource management practice. When you do that, you can manage complexity, the new complexity of business, without getting complicated. You create more value with lower cost. You simultaneously improve performance and satisfaction at work because you have removed the common root cause that hinders both complicatedness. This is your battle business leaders. The real battle is not against competitors. This is rubbish, very abstract. When do we meet competitors to fight them? The real battle is against ourselves, against our bureaucracy, our complicatedness.”

With all due respect to Mr. Morieux, these principles are NOT new. They can all be found in our founding documents, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution!

The first principle of ‘knowing what people do,’ is found in the Bible and in the ancient Greek saying, “Know thyself,” and their whole culture of mentoring. It has been a practice of Japanese businesses for quite some time. One does not become the C.E.O. of a business there without first having come up through the ranks. Where do you suppose they got this idea? Well, this is how it used to be done in this country. Apprenticeships and internships were what we used to do here. It used to be our common practice. We were succeeded or replaced due to retirement, death or other reasons by those we knew and that were groomed from within for this very purpose, for continued success. We did not go outside of our businesses, communities, schools, churches and other organizations to find replacements or for new positions. We grew from within by those we knew and trained. The whole government was intended to be “of the people, for the people and by the people.” The whole operation of government was formed by WE the People. Who are WE the People? WE the People are the ones that,

WE the People unanimously ratified the Constitution. Out from among us were to be those willing to serve that have sworn by an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of us, WE the People. Our public servants are to come out from among us. They are to represent us. How can this be possible, if they do not know us? It is not possible. Our three separate branches of government were designed to limit their power, but to also be co-equal, and yet each wholly accountable to the Constitution of which they have sworn an oath to keep. Everyone is supposed to know their jobs and the jobs of others. We are to know each other. No one is better than another. WE are all equal.

Co-equality is supposed to, ‘increase the total quantity of power,’ not each branch acting independently of the others and vying for dominance. The term, ‘serving at the pleasure of the president,’ is understood to mean that anyone that works directly for the president may also, be released by the president at the president’s pleasure. But this is false. Anyone that works in the government serves at the pleasure of, WE the People.

The three branches of government are designed to ‘increase reciprocity.’ Being co-equal, they are to share and share alike, for us, WE the People. We the People designed this government to ‘increase the integrators,’ not the me-myself-and-i(s), the instigators, inciters, blamer(s) and dividers.

The extension of ‘the shadow of the future,’ was written into our Constitution. The Constitution may simply be called, our document of limits, the rule of limits  or the law of the limits of the land. It was never intended that anyone ever make government their career choice or a lifetime occupation. It was intended as a honor to serve for a limited time, leave office and live with either the results or the consequences of your service.

‘Cooperation’ among the three branches is intended to be ‘rewarded.’ Failure is not attributed to one, two or all three failing, but because of their failure to help each other or to ask one another for help.

Our founding documents were designed to be and are, SIMPLE!

Remember, the Declaration of Independence has 1,468 words and takes about 10 minutes to read.

The Constitution has 4,543 words, including the signatures and takes about half an hour to read.

Another document, the Bill of Rights, has 462 words. To those who value life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, they are some of the most important words in the English language–words that approach sacredness and constitute the only remaining barrier against an ever-encroaching government. These 462 words make up the first 10 amendments to the United States Constitution.

Our original founders had vision. And what they saw was BIG! Proof of this was to us, WE the People, that they “pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor.” And they also, kept it simple.

But what we have seen for over 200 years is, as the population has grown, government has expanded. It always expands. As it expands, it becomes more and more complex and increasingly more complicated. By following the same old obsolete management system of increasing the separate and independent parts, it seems to perpetually continue with MORE structure, systems, processes, metrics, feelings, sentiments, interpersonal relationships, traits and personalities. This is NOT the intended purpose of the United States of America! This is a divided, WE the People.

Just one example of this complexity can be seen in the Affordable Care Act. It alone contains 381,517 words in the law itself. Add to this, 11,588,500 words of final regulations and you have a single document that is over 11,000 pages, stacks about 3 feet tall and very few have ever read it including, most of those that voted for it! And this fact alone is precisely – Why the Present Government CANNOT Work, Be Sustained and Continue Much Longer! Think about this and you will come up with many others reasons, why this is so.

Poll after poll, surveys, interviews, posts, emails, blogs, public discourse, the media and our attitudes towards one another, tell us, WE the People are divided. If we are divided, it is not due to some old documents written centuries ago that has failed and is failing to keep pace with the technology, the times in which we live, the bulging at the seams of our population or the speed of information, complexity and change! If w  e are divided, it is because of, the government, its agents, and propagandists. ANY measure of life, liberty or the pursuit of any happiness we may, but barely able to touch is, because of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, BECAUSE when WE the People designed and formed  “a more perfect union,” WE the PEOPLE WERE UNITED!!!

But, fear not, let not your hearts be troubled. This could turn in our favor. WE the People could become united and simplicity could return and we all could again, being equal,  enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of whatever makes us happy! Oh, you might think and believe, I’m writing here nothing but a dream? It could never happen (again)? It did and it can! We still are, WE the People!!!!

I will close with a new version of an acrostic (each letter represents a word), similar to one you may recall. Remember S.I.B.K.I.S.S.? Well, I’m going to change the words and meaning a bit to – S.I.B.K.I.S.S. = See It Big Keep It Simply Simple!  🙂

Congress of the United States
begun and held at the City of New-York, on
Wednesday the fourth of March, one thousand seven hundred and eighty nine.

THE Conventions of a number of the States, having at the time of their adopting the Constitution, expressed a desire, in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers, that further declaratory and restrictive clauses should be added: And as extending the ground of public confidence in the Government, will best ensure the beneficent ends of its institution.

RESOLVED by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assembled, two thirds of both Houses concurring, that the following Articles be proposed to the Legislatures of the several States, as amendments to the Constitution of the United States, all, or any of which Articles, when ratified by three fourths of the said Legislatures, to be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of the said Constitution; viz.

ARTICLES in addition to, and Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America, proposed by Congress, and ratified by the Legislatures of the several States, pursuant to the fifth Article of the original Constitution.

Note: The following text is a transcription of the first ten amendments to the Constitution in their original form. These amendments were ratified December 15, 1791, and form what is known as the “Bill of Rights.”

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Amendment II

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Amendment III

No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

Amendment IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Amendment V

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

Amendment VI

In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense.

Amendment VII

In Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.

Amendment VIII

Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

Amendment IX

The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

Amendment X

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

The Apple of Gold

   When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. — Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.

He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.

He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.

He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their Public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.

He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.

He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected, whereby the Legislative Powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.

He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.

He has obstructed the Administration of Justice by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary Powers.

He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance.

He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.

He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil Power.

He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:

For protecting them, by a mock Trial from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:

For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:

For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.

He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us.

He has plundered our seas, ravaged our coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people.

He is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to compleat the works of death, desolation, and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & Perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation.

He has constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive on the high Seas to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.

He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our British brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.

We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these united Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States, that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. — And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.
