Tail of a Democrat

Maybe I spelt “Tail” wrong? Maybe I meant “tale”? Then again, perhaps it’s both?

My first political debate was not as a candidate for office, but on behalf of one, John Fitzgerald Kennedy. It was not particularly eloquent. It was however, highly emotional and deeply passionate. I remember it like it was yesterday and verbatim – “Nixon is not very handsome, and Kennedy is!” I was only six years old. But we three kids were raised as Democrats. Mom and Dad were. Our grandparents on Mom’s side were Democrats. It seemed like everyone we knew were Democrats, except for our grandparents, our Father’s parents. They were Republicans.

Our Mom adored JFK! I believe for a while, she purposely had my hair cut and styled to look like his and thought I resembled him? I did have black hair. But I was, “no Jack Kennedy!”

In the 1988 VP Debate, Democrat Senator from Texas, Lloyd Bentsen, challenged his Republican opponent, Senator Dan Quayle of Indiana. Quayle was asked about his qualifications for the office he was seeking and IF, he should become president. Quayle responded in part by saying, “I have as much experience in the Congress as Jack Kennedy did when he sought the presidency. I will be prepared to deal with the people in the Bush administration, if that unfortunate event would ever occur.”

Bentsen quickly shot back to Quayle, “Senator, I served with Jack Kennedy. I knew Jack Kennedy. Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine. Senator, you’re no Jack Kennedy.”

These remarks were shortened and became food and fodder for the media and the Democrats and the brunt of jokes by many comedians, “…you’re no Jack Kennedy.” This became like a lexicon or political dictionary, as a way to deflate politicians or other individuals perceived as thinking too highly of themselves.

But Bush and Quayle became the next president and vice president of the United States. When this occurred, maybe Quayle should have told Bentsen, “I may not be like Jack Kennedy, but Senator, you’re no vice president” (and would never be).

My first presidential election that I was of age to cast my vote was, in 1976. The election year was pretty raucous and bewildering and especially it being, the 200th anniversary of the signing of Our, Declaration of Independence in, 1776. Most of US were still reeling over Nixon’s Watergate Scandal and his subsequent resignation or the likelihood that he would have been impeached by the House of Representatives and convicted in the Senate and removed from office. I for one, did not approve of his VP, Gerald Ford, after assuming office of president, pardoning Nixon and appointing Nelson Rockefeller as the new vice president. To think of Rockefeller being a heartbeat away from the presidency, was unimaginable to me! True to my Democratic roots, i was going to vote for a Democrat anyway, but which one? I can’t remember the 16 or 17 running for the Democrat party. I thought that hot mess was just as stupid and diminishing, as the Republican Party’s group in 2016! Is there something stupid and diminishing about election years that end in the number ‘6’? Is ‘6’ unlucky, ominous or the best WE can do with what’s available?

“Who is Jimmy Carter and what is he running for?” This was a popular and often used quote in the media and by his many opponents, of ALL parties. A hick, one-time peanut farmer from Georgia? I was akin to the South, but still a Midwesterner and of the ‘Show Me State’, a Missourian to be exact. You know, the home state of the guy that Dewey supposedly beat. You know, “Give em’ Hell Harry,” Harry Truman. So, Carter, whoever he was running against (16 or so), for his party’s nominee for president and however he did it, he did it! I had nothing to do with that because, I did not vote in the primary where I was registered to vote, I couldn’t. Why not? Well, in all my years of being allowed to vote, to this day, I have never been invited to join any party! I suppose even then, I must have been undesirable or deplorable. But to this point, I just assumed I was a democrat. I totally missed that whole party sign-up and register to vote, whole primary thing.

But Jimmy Carter was a democrat and so was I. He was running against Ford, a republican and I was not about to waste my first vote on him and his party that gave us Nixon! I liked to call him just, “Jimmy”, i don’t know why, other than that’s what he said, “Hi, I’m Jimmy Carter and I’m running for president.” He had a nice smile and piercing blue eyes. I think he must have reminded me of Pinocchio’s, Jimmy Cricket. I know, it’s Jiminy, but it sounded like Jimmy” to me.

Jimmy served in the military, the Navy, just like our Dad, so that was a plus. And do you recall those jokes, put-downs to be exact, about someone not being too bright, not a “rocket scientist,” or a “nuclear physicist”? Well, “Jimmy”, was pretty close to being a “nuclear physicist.” He worked with nuclear submarines, before he had to leave and take over the family peanut business. His IQ is reported to be way above a genius. That’s all good I thought.

Now Jimmy was wooing the Christians. I don’t think they were called ‘evangelicals’ at the time, just Christians. I was raised Presbyterian and it may have some Christian remnants, but to me in 1976, it was just another religion and I was a Christian. I thought Jimmy was too. He told everyone that he had a “born again” experience through his sister, Ruth Carter Stapleton, evangelist/tent revivalist/faith healer. At first I was thinking, “born again”, OK, works for me! Then he said, “I’ll never lie to you.” OK, I was in.

For a first time voter, at age twenty-three, 2 years short of having a fully developed and mature brain, I thought I made a pretty darn good decision [written while patting myself on the back]! As it turned out, my first-grade debate as a 6 year old kid, worked out better!

After my first-time vote, I found out some other stuff. Yep, Uh-Oh!

For one thing, I heard someplace that Ruth Carter Stapleton was considered the most powerful witch in the United States, in her time. True or not, it sure made me wonder, what kind of “born again” experience Jimmy had??? And Jimmy lied, often! Through Jimmy, I learned a new word “malaise” and our country seemed like it was in one. And for or a long time, one-term Jimmy had the un-distinction of being the worst president EVER (at least to that point).

Now a person doesn’t make a party, but does a party make a person? There’s lots’ of parties, but to be honest or practical, as it stands presently, there are only two that really matter. One person, either from one party or the other will be the next president. I almost voted for a third-party candidate one time, Ross Perot. My point is, I could relate to what Ronald Reagan once said, “I didn’t leave the Democrat Party, they left me.” I have voted several times since Jimmy and I always try to vote for the best, but I have never voted for another Democrat, at least not for president!

Oh, I was a liberal, loved everyone mostly. I was a pacifist, I wanted to “make love not war.” Yes, I was a hippie or a “freak”, or a “flower child”, for a while. I didn’t care what someone’s skin color was, their sex, economic background, level of education or intellect, or their religion, only their character!

My favorite TV shows were ‘Sesame Street’ and ‘Leave it to Beaver’. My favorite political movie was, ‘Mr Smith goes to Washington’, starring another Jimmy, James Stewart. My other favorite (still is), ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’, also with Jimmy (James). All these were the salt of the earth, the common folk, and simple things for simple people and idyllic like the little kid in me. Like the character George Bailey said in ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’, the common folk are the ones that do most of the paying, the living and the dying in this country!

Our first president, George Washington despised all political parties!! He saw them all as divisive, for their lust to get and keep power over our differences, instead of unifying by what we have in common. I don’t know who coined the following, but it fits here and I’m using it, “There’s not a dime’s difference”, among all the political parties!

Our Mother’s parents were of salt of the earth, among the common folk, from large farming families and neither went to college. They were Democrats. Our family of five were Democrats.

Our Father’s parents were both college grads. My grandmother came from wealth. My grandfather was involved with education most of his life, once as a superintendent of schools and he ended his career as a highly respected counselor at the college level. Both he and my grandmother were lifelong Republicans.

Now I can’t speak for our Mom and Dad or any of our grandparents, as they have all passed on. And I won’t speak, for my only brother or our only little sister, my wife or my/our friends. But I wonder if our grandparents with our last name, if alive today, would be voting Democrat? Would they be part of the elite class, the “for the people”, class, the con-job class that brought us everybody is a victim, social divide, and everyone that disagrees with them is a racist? Would they be among the party of political correctness and intolerance and only free if you think like me class? And just in case you think me biased, “Tricky Dick” (Richard), Nixon was a highly intelligent man like “Jimmy”! Is a high IQ a sign that one is corrupt and actually, a dumbass?

And as far as the rest of us, I wonder if we would all be voting Republican?

Everything sure seems different now? ‘The parties’, appear to have switched sides? Has everyone and everything changed?

For myself, this has been my TALE as a Democrat. I got tired of being involved with the TAIL, wagging the dog! Oh, and don’t think that the Republicans don’t want to “wag the dog” too! They just back down when accused of trying to! And this is the parties’ big con. They think “they”, the few, the elite, “the smart ones in charge”, are the tail that wags the dog.

I’m independent now (not the Independent Party or any other party)! Now, I can wag my own tail and Thimk’ for myself!

If you stop yelling at me, calling me names and quit trying to put me down, you will discover WE have a lot in common and WE could be best friends! I still have the heart of a liberal! But one has to have both an open mind and stand for Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness for everybody, to be a liberal! Does not the word “liberal” come from Liberty?!

So what? So what if anything is the solution? Why not educate Our-selves and Our children on what WE all are, a Republic, not a democracy of the smartest, richest, elitist, most votes and loudest voices that seek to end any debate?

An educated citizenry is a vital requisite for our survival as a free people!”

“Nature’s God”

A friend of mine recently said, “I can’t seem to find any reference to Nature’s God prior to the time of Thomas Jefferson. I’m trying to figure out exactly what he meant by that term and where he picked up the concept.”

The words, “the Laws of Nature” and “Nature’s God,” appear in our founding document, The Declaration of Independence, in 1776.

“When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.”

The idea that the United States of America is a, “Christian Nation,” has been argued since likely, our beginning in the years which led up to 1776 and ever since. You might be surprised as to its true origins?

We know from basic U.S. history that Thomas Jefferson (one of the youngest, if not the youngest earliest representatives to the 1776 body, The Continental Congress and other patriots), was tasked with the writing of, The Declaration of Independence. It was so because of his skill with language. But even so, it may be understood that there was one writer, but many authors. This is clearly seen in the opening of the second paragraph of ‘The Declaration,’ We hold these truths…”

Let us examine the writer, Thomas Jefferson.

Thomas Jefferson was basically a deist, although the term in his day had negative connotations such as being heretical or being an atheist. As revolutionary as it was to revolt against their mother country, their king ordained by supposed divine right, the greatest standing military and naval force of the times, words such as “the separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and nature’s God entitle them,” were just as revolutionary!

Thomas Jefferson lived during the ‘Age of Enlightenment’ 1715-1789. In France, the central doctrines of the French worded, les Lumières (the lights), were individual liberty and religious tolerance in opposition to an absolute monarchy and the fixed dogmas of the Roman Catholic Church or of any one church, for that matter. The Age of Enlightenment was marked by an emphasis on the scientific method and reductionism along with increased questioning of religious orthodoxy—an attitude captured by the Latin words, Sapere aude, “Dare to know.”

Reductionism is the theory of reducing complex data down to its basic elements to understand and apply that knowledge. An example of reductionism may be better understood from the Bible?

“Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:”

Whereas we may view the complexities of humanity with its many races and variations, according to what we just read, the God of the Bible reduces this complex data down to there being just 3— Jew, Gentile or the Church of God (which is made up of both Jew and Gentile).

Jefferson also lived during the ‘Age of Reason.’ It follows in the tradition of eighteenth-century British deism, and challenges institutionalized religion and the legitimacy of the Bible. It was published in three parts in 1794, 1795, and 1807. Jefferson died in 1826, but these two ages” shaped his thinking and that of our other founders and their manner of life. When Jefferson wrote our founding document, The Declaration of Independence, agreed to by all the signers of all 13 colonies, he and our founders, believed in a creator whom created all equal and endowed them with certain unalienable rights. Some of the signers were Christian and some held other beliefs. Jefferson’s belief in God the creator was not revelatory. He did not believe in miracles. He believed in the value of the moral code of Jesus, but not necessarily that he was God’s Messiah. God, Jefferson believed, was known or could be known by design in the laws of life, hence, “the Laws of Nature and Nature’s God.” He believed in ethics and morals and science and reason and he believed this is how the creator was made known. This was believed possible by exercising the Latin term, Sapere aude, “Dare to know.”

It was believed that this was not only the right of all to know, but the responsibility of all, in order to realize and live them – “We hold these truths.” But where did such ideas come from?

“The ideas that inspired them [our original founders] were neither British nor Christian, but largely ancient, pagan, and continental:”

Now this is interesting and it may or may not have been the origin of Jefferson’s belief and even it were the belief of every other signer of ‘The Declaration,’ it is, Christian, in that it is written in the Bible and specifically, in the New Testament and even more specific, in the first doctrinal (how to believe rightly) epistle, to the Church, the Book of Romans.

Please note: All scripture references from the Bible herein are from, The King James Version, KJV.

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
“Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
“For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Romans 1:18-20 KJV

Without controversy, those three verses basically describe, “The Laws of Nature and Nature’s God.” Now lets look at more of this chapter to see in contrast to “The Laws of Nature and Nature’s God,” what the God of the Bible (His revelation of Himself) has to say.

1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel
[good news] of God,
2 (Which he [God] had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)
3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:
6 Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:
7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith [Greek pistis believing] is spoken of throughout the whole world.
13 Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.

Whether you or I believe as did Jefferson or in any of the beliefs of our original founders is not what is most important. For one thing, they believed that equality was created in all and rights were given to all by the creator, the “Laws of Nature” and “Nature’s God.” There is no contradiction if you believe God is made known by nature or revealed by His Word, the Bible, Himself the Word or His namesake and only begotten son, Jesus Christ the Word. These all agree. They conciliate in The Declaration of Independence. It is concluded in, The Declaration of Independence. There is no contradiction that our Republic is indeed, based on Judeo-Christian principles. Even if one is an atheist, and believes in the theory of evolution (the big bang theory), there is no contradiction because, equality and rights are a gift of this life force, “The Laws of Nature and Nature’s God, a “creator,” a design and etc. otherwise, there is no equality and no rights, only inequality and privileges. Look at the final sentence in The Declaration.

“And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.”

This ‘Declaration’ of equality and rights from “The Laws of Nature and Nature’s God,” which relies on “Divine Providence,” the creator, is equal to and…

…as The Declaration is Declaratory of “Nature’s God,” so are the heavens

“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth [shows] his handywork.”

Thomas Jefferson, our founders and our founding documents were not anti-God or atheists. All were anti-divine right and anti-religion. From since the fall of Adam and Eve in the first book of the Bible, Genesis, our species have tried to dominate by force of arms or religious dogma. They have tried to un-separate or conciliate (bring together), Church and State. Kings, Queens, emperors and etc. from ancient times, were thought of as gods or as God’s representatives on earth. This is called, “divine right” and may be thought of by expressing— rule from the throne. The church and specifically, the Roman Catholic Church, uses a Latin phrase, ex cathedra “from the seat of authority” or simply, “from the chair.” I like to think of that as, from the toilet because, it is just crap. 🙂

There is one problem with this concept, Biblically.

”When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?  And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter [Greek petros, a small grain-like stone that can be blown about, with every wind of doctrine], and upon this rock [Greek petra, a large unmovable rock or stone] I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

Matthew 16:13-20 KJV

In English, what this verse seems to say is that Jesus Christ would build his church upon Peter. This is the verse used to promote and substantiate the concept of apostolic succession. Please note that this verse says absolutely nothing about apostolic succession. But if you look in the Greek translation from which the King James Version came, just knowing and understanding the definition of two Greek words, this verse says something entirely different. The name Peter (petros in Greek), is very similar to his personality. One moment he was ready to die with Jesus and the next you can’t find Peter (a little grain of sand), anywhere. Jesus Christ used the word “rock” which again, is the Greek word petra, an unmovable stone. Jesus Christ simply said [my paraphrasing], Hey, look Peter, you are like a tiny grain of sand. You blow hot and cold and blow about at the whim of the wind. But on this rock (Jesus pointed to himself), I (Jesus Christ), will build my church!

So much for certain ones dominating over the church or of apostolic succession. 🙂

Throne or chair, take your pick or as it was or is, as to whomever in actuality, is in control of the rest of the population. These beliefs were rejected by Thomas Jefferson and our original founders and in our original documents.

From the throne of a king, queen, prince, princess and etc. or from the chair of a Pope or head of some other religious order, both have one thing in common, genealogy or privilege. Whether by birth or royal blood line, this “divine right” is equal to the pedigree or some spiritual association like apostolic succession. This belief was that from the line of the Apostle Peter of the Bible, all true authority of God on earth, being infallible, is thought to be the legitimate authority over all others. Thomas Jefferson, our original founders and our original documents rejected these ideas!

In their day and time, Thomas Jefferson, our original founders and our original documents were revolutionary because, they rejected the “divine right” of the king, the rule from the throne and the rule of the church (any church), “from the chair,” or the toilet. This established the concept of separation of Church and State, but certainly not, the separation of God and State. This is clearly seen in the words, “The Laws of Nature” and “Nature’s God.” As The Declaration Declares, “All men [a plural noun inclusive of all men, women and children], “are created equal…” “…that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

Any religion that is contrary to these universal truths would be unequal and would be based on privileges, not rights, and the divine right of royalty or spiritual authority, based on some pedigree of even ANY moral and ethical church, from dominating the affairs of our republic. However, this would not prevent any of the “Free and Independent States,” by “consent of the governed,” of that state, from having a state religion. But among the other states, their state religion would not/could not prevent the rights of any other state or any other individual. But the United States, interdependent, would not/could not have either a dominating governing force (see checks and balances in the Constitution of the United States), or religious force.

“The Laws of Nature and Nature’s God,” clearly declares that we are all created equal and are all endowed by our creator with certain unalienable rights. And though it does not declare whom this God is, whether by what is known from the study of these universal laws (Sapere aude “dare to know”), or what is revealed, it does not prevent God, a creator from revealing its self (male or female) in its manner and provides for, the Freedom of religion which includes, the truth! In other words, religious freedom or religious liberty, allows anyone to worship or not, as they deem appropriate, as long as, their liberty and their rights, do not prevent those of any others.

In 2015, Chris Cuomo, a lawyer, son of Mario Cuomo (former NY governor a Democrat candidate for president), brother to Andrew Cuomo, the current governor of the state of New York, is a paid contributor and host at CNN. He interviewed the then Alabama Chief Supreme Court judge, his honor, Roy Moore. The following picture is a quote from that interview.

Our rights do not come from God?

Cuomo is lecturing a Supreme Court judge, the Chief Justice at the time, of the State of Alabama and addresses him with an air of respect in calling him, “your honor.” But the insulted Chief Justice, respectfully, did not agree with Cuomo. In contrast and in direct contradiction to Cuomo, this is what the writer of The Declaration, Thomas Jefferson said,

Our Equality and Our Rights come from God!

Does it matter if Jefferson was a deist, a Jew or a Christian? No it does not. Does it matter if any of our founders were deist, Jewish or Christian? No it does not. Does it matter if any were Jew, Gentile or Church of God? No it does not. Does it matter if our original founding documents were based on ancient, pagan, continental, desist, Jewish or Christian principles? No it does not. “Nature’s God,” in concept or in reality is not contradictory, but is conciliatory. Our equality and our rights do not come from man, mankind, humanity, collective agreement or compromise, but from, “The Laws of Nature and Nature’s God,” from the creator, however you freely choose to believe in one. What really matters is not what we may or may not believe, but that “Nature’s God” gifted us with equality and rights!

“Nature’s God” allows for the free choice, or religious freedom or religious liberty, to believe as one sees fit, provided that it is ethical, moral, is equal to all and does not prevent the rights of all, of every individual!

There are two compound words that are now, much easier to understand, inspiration and enthusiasm. Inspiration is made up of in + spirit or in spirit action. Enthusiasm is made of the Greek preposition en meaning, totally within as opposed to, from without and the Greek word theo, which is, God. Combined, its meaning is, in totality or wholly within God, the origin or power of God. “The Laws of Nature and Nature’s God,” are equal to a “creator,” all people being “created equal,” and the “endowment” “of certain unalienable rights.” Things equal to the same thing, are equal to each other!

In conclusion, “Nature’s God” are words written in our original declaratory founding document, The Declaration of Independence. Though equality and individual rights are inclusive or universal, they are written and authored by Free and Independent States that have the right to govern their own affairs, as does any other Free and Independent State or country. We have the right to allow in or remove anyone or anything which is contrary to universal rights and the privileges of citizenship we hold together, as Free and Independent States! And we also, have the responsibility of both now and in the future, to prevent anyone or anything from dominating our republic and any church from dominating our United States, religious liberty.

If these things were not so, there would be only inequality and privileges; no equality and no rights! “Nature’s God” is, the origin of equality and of our rights. And this equality and these rights did not come by humanity, but by the creator and these rights can therefore, not be bought, sold, bartered, traded, surrendered or taken by force from anyone, by anyone or anything, under any circumstances! The Constitution of the United States is the second, but equal part to our republic. Whereas The Declaration declares the origin of our equality and our rights, the Constitution is, for the defense and protection of this equality and these universal rights and our “collective agreement and compromise,” as to our privileges as citizens and how this republic is to be served— of the people, by the people,  for the people and to the people! And this is the responsibility of every one of us, to protect and defend against all enemies, foreign or domestic!

Unalienable or Inalienable

Does it matter if your rights are unalienable, inalienable or alienable? Many have no idea what these words truly mean in context of what was written in the Declaration of Independence. Look at the article from the following link.

Although the link above is an interesting read (and I did read it word for word), it fails to use the word as written, in the familiar clause of the Declaration of Independence. That word is, “unalienable” and not “inalienable” as used in the title of the afore mentioned and linked article. It fails to define the word “unalienable” and like our rights, it cannot be separated from the source from which they are derived which is, “their [our] creator,’ God. And finally, the article fails in that it does not show original intent of our founders that authored it (WE the People are the authors), and written by, Thomas Jefferson, one among us, WE the People.

Our founders, many of which were from England and influenced by the work of John Locke, English jurisprudence (English Law) and were familiar with the words “inalienable” and “alienable” as they relate to property rights, to rights of property. But this was not, absolutely not, what their intentions were, in the Declaration of Independence or how the words were used, in the context of this document. “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness,” are certainly not referring to mere property rights.

Very, very simply, the words “unalienable” or “inalienable,” which as defined in most any dictionary are, exactly the same. Both can be understood by the root word, “alien.” Basically, something or someone that is “alien” or is, an “alien” is, foreign or just not from here. What separates us from any other foreigner or alien? These “truths” were written down, put into and left, in our founding documents. It is a record. It was recorded. It is a recording and like a sound recording, is considered more permanent than having to rely on the fragility of memory which is prone to leave out, put in or change things over time. Let me say that again in another way. The only thing that makes us UN-aliens any different from any other alien outside of this country is that we put our rights into writing. They are the laws of our republic. We are all aliens, but our rights are unalienable and are given by “their [our] creator,” God. If they are given by people, they are not rights, but privileges and could be bought, sold, given away or forcibly taken. They would be then, alienable privileges, but they are not. One cannot separate another from their unalienable rights, any more than they can separate the source of Him, “their [our] creator,” God that gave them, gives them freely to all, for all are, “created equal!”

Having written those things, I will leave a link below, which digs into the depth of these two words, “unalienable” and “inalienable.” Even though they are defined the same in a dictionary today, were both understood as the same in the 18th century and there were even drafts of the Declaration of Independence that used the word “inalienable,” before the final document which used, “unalienable,” most courts, corporations, and even state constitutions, only recognize inalienable rights. According to their interpretation, those rights are separate from unalienable rights and can be transferred with your permission or without it if, the court, corporation, and/or state decides it so. This is a perversion, an interpretation, a corruption; a usurpation of our unalienable rights, given freely by “their [our] creator,” God, for those rights cannot be bought, sold, bartered, transferred or taken away, with or without our permission! Why not? Because we are all aliens or foreigners in a strange land. We are pilgrims. We are just passing through. We and our unalienable rights will all one day, return to the source that gave them, “their [our] creator,” God.

Understanding of these things is of paramount importance! In addition to separating the words “unalienable” and “inalienable,” though they are defined as the same, there are those which believe the Declaration of Independence, has no place in our government nor standing, in any court of Law. There are those which believe that the preamble to our Constitution, has no place or standing, in any court of law.

The We that hold “these truths” are, the same WE behind, “We the People.”

The “We” that hold “these truths” are, the same WE behind, “We the People.” The Declaration of Independence cannot be separated from, The Constitution of the United States of America. And the preamble to the same, cannot be separated from the document including, the ‘Bill of Rights.’

To separate unalienable from inalienable, seeks to separate rights from “their [our] creator,’ God, whom gave them, from  “their [our] creator,’ God, God, being just a figure of speech, a legal fiction when in fact, it is humans (governments) that give us those rights (privileges) and can therefore, take them away? As no one can separate the Preamble from the Constitution from or the Bill of Rights, no one can separate the Constitution (a more perfect union) from, the Bill of Rights, all which are given limited power by consent of the people, to protect the rights of the People. And no one can separate the Constitution (the protector of these rights) from the Declaration of Independence (the declarer of those rights and from whence those rights have come (“their [our] creator,” God.

There are those that believe we are a democracy (rule by majority) as opposed to a republic (rule by law, a representative government). There are those that believe the electoral college should be eliminated and presidential elections should be decided by popular vote. Popular vote is, democracy, rule by majority. This is not the same thing as a republic, the rule by law, a representative government.

Nothing could be more clear in understanding the failures of democracy and the intent of the republic, than a map of the United States showing by county and by colors red or blue from the national election, November 8th, 2016. Votes from the areas in blue above show both where the majority of the votes were received and are where the majority of the people live in the USA. But it is obvious that not everyone lives in the blue areas. To control the government in this manner, all one needs to do is to receive the majority of the votes from where the majority of the people live. Now I ask you, which color (blue or red) truly is more representative of the United States? If you ca see red, then this is indicative of a republic, a representative government in action and our founders original intent. If you still desire the blue, a majority, a democracy, this was not our founders intent and you should seek to legally amend our Constitution.

There are those which believe as the times have changed, even our Constitution is subject to change. The Constitution may be amended, but it cannot be changed. We the people have the right to:

“That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”

Separating unalienable and inalienable is to separate rights of all to the priviledges of the few. Separating the Bill of Rights from the Constitution, the Constitution from the Preamble, The Constitution from The Declaration of Independence, rights from “the [our] creator,” God, reduces all to a democracy instead of a republic and robs every man woman and child from their equal rights that among these are, “Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.” These are all very dangerous ideas. It is only WE the People which consent to those powers which government may by only specified limits, execute on our behalf. We the People have those rights because, WE the People are all and each, equally endowed by “their [our] creator,” God, whom gave us these rights! These rights which cannot be bought, sold, bartered, transferred or taken by force, with or without our permission! Government is neither an individual or a person (corporation), it is just a servant, our servant, the servant of WE the People.  Government’s sole function is, to protect and defend our unalienable rights from all enemies, foreign (alien) or domestic (from within us).

OMG this is a long list, but it is probably only a fraction of the things people are upset or concerned about! But as important to some that any one or a few of these might be, these are ONLY symptoms of our division, but not the cause!

For the most part, the weather cannot be controlled, but response to it can be. These can be simply called, natural disasters or crises. I’ll give one example. The Zika virus as you may well know is, spread by mosquito bites. These are said to cause birth defects in some women and the virus itself can be deadly. But if you really look into this, a chemical company spraying for mosquitoes around 50 years ago, may be the cause. Some of the mosquitoes sprayed did not die and may have evolved to resist it? Now in Florida, it is becoming a huge concern with potential national consequences. Those affected by the virus are believed to have been bitten and infected, somewhere else, but they have brought this to Florida by traveling from place to place.  Florida has begun to spray. Guess what? They are using the same chemical that may have caused the problem in the first place. Someone gets paid for the chemicals. Someone gets paid to spray. There is lots of money to be made. When government is involved, someone gets the contract for the chemicals and to spray. Guess what company it is in at least Florida, if not other states? The company is associated with the wife of the present (republican) governor of Florida. Nothing there right? Move along right? NO, this is an example of most likely, a human-made disaster in the name of a natural disaster, but crisis capitalism is there to make a lot of money in the name of humanity. By the way, the spray may be killing bees?

Pretty much, everything else are, human-made disasters or crises.

All these disasters and crises have great potential when speaking of dollars and cents. Lots of money or resources which cost money are earmarked to these crises and disasters. And yes, this does mean jobs at least temporarily, but there is potential for HUGE profits by those involved in crisis capitalism. There is the potential to make a lot of money off of each crisis and disaster. Some disasters like floods, hurricanes, and earthquakes abate, subside, recede and end, but not the potential to keep making large sums of money. The other human-made disasters never seem to end, despite how much money is spent. Why is that? It is because, there’s always potential to make lots of money off of every crisis with each disaster, yesterday, today and tomorrow! This is, Crisis Capitalism!

If you stop to think about it, government really never solves anything! It simply collects money and spends it. If there is not enough, it borrows it! A business involved in crisis capitalism is in it to make a profit, the government at least on paper, does not make a profit. But here is the big question, where does all this money go, for all these crises and disasters???

Sure, some goes for the purpose and the intention of helping others and does help some, but very, very little. So where does the money go???

This is the whole cause of Our division. It is, THE ECONOMY!

Everything else, are just symptoms because, the economy is, the CAUSE! Under crisis capitalism there must be a symptom or symptoms by which the capital is spent in order to make a profit or as in the case of our government, to completely destroy the economy! WOW, that’s quite a bold statement! In just a little while, I will show you the proof!

Why would our own government do such a thing? How could it do this to the people it is supposed to serve? Just incompetence? That’s an easy fix we may think, just vote them out of office right? Only year after year, politician after politician, no matter which party, keeps doing it over and over again! Why? Crisis capitalism!

In crisis capitalism, just enough is spent for the people, so that it looks like they are helping US and to get re-elected and to keep US voting for them or that we continue to buy their products and services!  Prices go up, education goes up (maybe) and technology goes up, but quality and numbers of those being served, GOES DOWN! We do not like them, we do not trust them, but we think this is the best that we can do! It is, a corrupt system, crisis capitalism! For the most part, these crises and disasters are human-made and we may desperately need the help we believe, from the very ones that created the crises and disasters in the first place! It is in their best interest to constantly keep us in some national crisis, some natural disaster; some national emergency. We are its wheel and our money, our blood, sweat, tears, and our future is, crisis capitalism’s grease!

There is no other issue, for the cause of our division, than the economy! Who is driving the economy? The machine of the economy that is driving us the wheel and greasing us with our lives is, crisis capitalism. It seems to be in perpetuity, it does not end, it does not cease, it does not sleep! If we die, we will be replaced! The machine must not stop, the wheel must move; it must be greased!

I promised you proof that the only cause of our division is, the economy. As it happened, just yesterday, my brother-in-law Kevin, in a Facebook post, shared the perfect illustration of all I have been sharing here, in a simple, easy to be understood by anyone, one little picture about the size of a 1/2 page memo.

From this picture, anyone can see that the cause of our division is, the economy. It is represented by dollars and cents, yours and mine and the future of our children’s, children’s, children. If, that is,  our great grand children have a future???

Some of this money goes for the purpose for what is intended. These can be considered as all the other symptoms of our division, all those things that are important to us. What is NOT shown is, where or to whom this money goes. It is fueled by crisis capitalism! It is crisis capitalism that makes most of the money and has set it up to keep making most of the money. So without further adieu, here is the proof that the cause of our division is, the economy, created primarily by and for the benefit of crisis capitalism!

Thus far, it’s been OK for crisis capitalism because, they keep taking more, we keep voting for them to keep taking our money, and the debt keeps rising! This is rapidly approaching the point of no return, when the money runs out, when they can no longer borrow anymore, then the whole thing comes crashing down! Those that have benefited from crisis management will be OK, but those who they divided their money from, and their future will NOT, be OK! This day is rapidly approaching!!!

Even though the present controllers in Washington D.C. have doubled the national doubt in just these past seven years, from all previous years combined, since WE became the United States of America (you know since 1776), this insanity has been taking place, no matter which persons or political parties have been in control of our money and our future and the future of the United States of America! They are systematically emptying out the treasury! They are borrowing and spending! They are lobbied, controlled and manipulated by Big Business, Big Phama, and yes, even foreign governments. Who cares, it’s not their money, they just use the Credit Card of, the United State of America. And people and companies and foreign governments are getting rich off tanking or emptying out, OUR ECONOMY!

So, this is a presidential year. Along with filling the vacancy of this office, there are others running for office on the federal, state and local levels. Whatever their office, all will have staffs and maybe even entire departments that they will either keep or fill. Returning to the president, this individual, will be able to choose at least one or more Supreme Court Justices, albeit Congress, must confirm the appointments. In a sense, when we vote for those on The Ballot, we are voting for all these people! All of these people will control or be controlled by the economy and continue crisis capitalism. It does not matter who the people are or which party they represent!!!!

Sounds pretty pessimistic doesn’t it; negative and hopeless???? That is not my intention, but I have to tell the truth!!!

Even one of our founding fathers, the writer of the Declaration of Independence and one of the early first presidents, Thomas Jefferson, warned US about this, over 200 years ago. When the government grows, so does corruption. When it grows to the size that it is pretty much now, it is rampant with corruption and then, that’s near the end, the government is DONE! “Hasta la vista baby” (goodbye) Our Republic is over and The USA is, DONE!

There is a solution!! It is the only solution!!! But we are a long way from that and I will address this at another time. For the present, the best thing we can do is VOTE, yes VOTE, every one of US! I’ll leave the decider of those votes (the electoral college), for another time, but it does depend on our votes.

Next time, we will look into NOT who to vote for, but how to vote and maybe WE can make a difference?

Damn the appearance of evil!

Now maybe this will anger you or maybe not, but this is from me. It is from my blog, this blog. These are my words and my thoughts and the last time I looked, this is still the home of the brave and the land of the FREE! When last I knew, I am still entitled to my opinion. I think there are sufficient facts to bear out the reasons for my conclusions.

My opinions were formed long ago, when both the Clinton’s and I were living in the state of Arkansas. So it’s clear, we three were not living together. 🙂 We were just in the same state. I’ve never met either of them. Setting one aside, suffice it to say, I have never liked, respected or trusted, Hillary Clinton. Let there be no mistake about this, she is presently under CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION, by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). That is a fact.

Possible charges of espionage and corruption by the Clinton Foundation and/or the Clinton Global Initiative aside, whether intentional or not, she is at least lacking PERMISSION if not guilty of, having used a private server for email. She did have and did use a private server and that is a fact.

According to many polls, about 60% of those asked, do not trust her handling of this matter and many other matters, not here addressed. That is a present fact. Her favorability is way low and that is a fact.

It is a presidential political year and that is a fact. She recently became the presumptive Democratic Nominee for president, based on the delegate count (including super delegates) and she was recently endorsed by the current president and a U.S. senator from Massachusetts. Those are facts.

After almost two years, Hillary Clinton finally agreed to appear on Fox News. That is a fact. It is no surprise that she as well as many, do not like Fox News. In an election year such as this, it only makes sense to get your message out to as many people as possible, wherever possible, even if it happens to be through Fox News. But she did appear recently and sat down for an interview with Bret Baier, June 8, 2016. That is a fact. Please watch the following video, all the way to the end (about 7 minutes 56 seconds), before you return to this post.

My take and my point in the above video and for this entire post is, the confidence in which she replied, to Bret Baier’s final question.

“The Clinton Foundation Investigation, The FBI Investigation, The Email Investigation, what you’re saying is, there is 0 chance, for this to be a problem, for you in this election?”

CLINTON

“Absolutely. That’s what I’m saying. That happens to be the truth.”

I marvel at her confidence!!! Although I question her judgment, ethics and ulterior motives, I have never and do not question this woman’s intelligence! I believe it is in NOT within the realm of possibility, for her to look anyone in the eyes and boldly and with conviction, tell a lie! However, I do not perceive this in her final statement above, to Bret Baier. So, I take her at her word and she said it confidently— without reservation or hesitation. Is it “truth” because she has done nothing wrong or is it “truth” (her word even though it would be a fact) that she will never be held accountable for her actions? Truth is universal and unchanging, but facts can change.

Now, all of the above leads me to my opinion.

I do not believe the Obamas’ or the Clintons’ have ever liked or respected one another. I still don’t! I believe her appointment, as Secretary of State was, nothing more than appeasement and for God knows what, political purposes. I am quite confident that the president would like to see his legacy continue into at least, the next four years. There is no one running, for his office, more suited than Clinton to his purposes, with all due respect to Bernie Sanders.

I believe that Hillary is smarter than the president. I believe she purposefully set up a private email server to control the data between herself and the State Department and even the White House, and to hide the trail of her doings so to speak, and to shield her from Freedom of Information requests (FOIA), even IF it was just a matter of her not trusting our own government, the same government that employed her.

It is a fact that the president has been found to have sent and received at least two emails, over the past however many years, from then Secretary of State Clinton’s, private email server. IF the FBI ever recommends to the Department of Justice, criminal charges, and IF the DOJ proceeds with a grand jury, and IF she would ever be indicted, the president of the United States could be called as a witness, and he would be complicit in corresponding (knowingly or not) over an unsecured email server! And it would not matter if it was sensitive, confidential, classified or even personal!

I do not know what and when the FBI will conclude their investigation. I do not know what their recommendations will be (if any). But based on Clinton’s confidence that there is “O chance,” of any of these things being a problem to her in this election, even IF the FBI recommends charges to the Department of Justice, the DOJ will NOT, absolutely NOT bring charges, convene a gran jury, nor will she ever be indicted or spend a moment in jail or prison for any, if any, wrong doings!!!

It won’t matter how many emails were deleted (at least 30,000), how many that have been redacted, how many were sensitive, confidential, classified, if her email server was hacked once or possibly more (and even possibly by foreign governments), how many lives may have been put into jeopardy or that the security of the United States of America has been compromised, there is “O chance,” she will ever be indicted! And if she were, I am CONFIDENT that the president of the United States has the power to not only pardon her, but himself as well!

Damn my evil surmising imaginings or damn this corruption within the bowels of Our Republic, but damn Hillary Rodham Clinton, for— THE APPEARANCE OF EVIL!

What Difference at this Point Does it Make?

WhatDifI used to think, vote your conscience. Vote for the best person you believe will do the best job. I don’t believe this anymore. “What difference at this point does it make?”

Our founders, in their wisdom knew that all of us are imperfect beings, corrupt and can often, easily be manipulated and corrupted. They understood that government is, a necessary evil. But they also, realized that the lust for power and control would attract certain types of people and personalities that would desire to— run everything, law everything and interpret everything.

So, rather than put the whole bunch under one tent, they purposely constrained, restricted and limited government, to three branches.

This has worked out pretty well for the last 240 years, except? Except theses power-hungry people have always been trying to find loopholes or language they could interpret to gain, maintain and expand their powers.

Our founders knew these three branches would each try to take over the others. They made making changes to the Constitution NOT easy, but hard, to limit the government from taking over our unalienable rights such as, Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness! It was a limited government, NOT an UNLIMITED one where the president executes, legislates and judicates or adjudicates; the Legislative executes and judicates; and the Supreme Court executes its own interpretations and legislates from the bench. Is this limited government? I think NOT!

For example, baring in mind the original intent was to limit government, the Supreme Count decided long ago, to interpret that the, “under good behavior” phrase from the Constitution means, they can keep their jobs for life? I think NOT!

Do you really suppose the original intent for representatives and senators was for them to make lifelong careers? I think NOT!

If congress won’t go along, isn’t this what executive orders and presidential proclamations are for, to circumvent Congress? I think NOT!

Should not the president tell the Supreme court what is and what is not the law? I think NOT!

Then what about dynasty families like the Kennedy’s, the Bush’s and the Clinton’s? Is this the real limiting of government as was intended? I think NOT!

Do you really think our founders ever intended a 3-term president like  Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR), who might have had four had he lived? I think NOT!

I think that presidential term of only 8 years was amended in the Constitution?

Government has even tried to regulate elections, if they can’t outright control and eliminate them. What a pain in their collective arses to be subjected to the humiliation of having to get elected or re-elected again? Too bad, not sad, deal with it!

Well, obviously, for them to have to deal with it, there has to be elections. This means, voters and actually voters, voting! 4. Vote for Hillary Clinton (assuming she is not indicted and/or jailed, prior to November 3rd, 2016?

2016 Donald Trump campaign slogan – Republican

“Make America Great Again.” This statement is, a complete sentence. It is visionary. It is inclusive. It is inclusive as it does not single out anyone(s) nor excludes anyone(s). It is not an appeal, a suggestion, a desire, a hope or merely something that one person wants to do. It is an imperative statement, as simple as, JUST DO IT! It is left as the responsibility of every man, woman and child that are citizens of the United States of America or those seeking to become citizens legally. It is the responsibility of all that have the power to make it great again, to make it great again! One way is to vote, by all those that are eligible to vote! As long as the USA remains, this is a timeless statement, for as long as, America is not great. The statement suggests that America is not presently “great.” Is this true? You know it’s true because, we are NOT presently great.

I have never seen nor presently see a campaign slogan that says something like the following:

And with all due disrespect to president Obama’s speech in Elkhart, IN, on June 1, 2016, no one is running on a campaign of “Okey-doke,” either! “Okey-doke” or okey-dokey is an urban language term for the reduplicated, reduplication of OK. It also suggests that anyone that believes in okey-doke are just witless wonders. The pres said that, “…Okey-doke, on June 1, 2016 in Elkhart, IN. He went there to take credit for Indiana’s economic recovery, when in fact, it was not his policies that made the difference, but it was due mostly to fracking and the recovery of shale-oil! News Flash, soon to be, ex-president, not everyone believes you or in you; and many can’t wait for your bye-bye and could care less about your legacy! We are more concerned with making America great again!

The statement suggests that America is not presently “great.” Is this true? You know it’s true because, we are NOT presently great.

So, if we are NOT great, then it’s up to you and I, all of US, WE the People (including Trump), to make it great again! Why would this statement also, include Trump? Because he is running for president, to do his part in making America Great Again. He’s campaigning on better trade deals, winning again and in essence—AMERICA FIRST!

Maybe you just want the return of “business as usual?” A vote for Trump might help make America great again? Maybe not and if not, then maybe if he’s lying, we would all just return to, “business as usual?” So, we have a 50/50 chance of being right or wrong with Trump. Don’t like those odds? Then by all means:

Why vote? In one word—FREEDOM!

Yes, that is the simple answer, but WE have a tendency of complicating things and may completely miss the simple. Perhaps the word “freedom,” needs some explaining?

If you have ever met, know someone or may one day meet someone, for which the following applies, then maybe this will help persuade them? If the shoe fits, then maybe the following will help persuade you?

I have heard and know people who didn’t vote or have never voted. There have been a few times that I did not vote, so the following is, for me as well.

Because of freedom, each of us are free to vote and we each have the freedom not to. But before continuing, I would just like to point out some very important facts about freedom.

We are NOT the first republic, but we are the oldest still in existence. Search the history of US and you will discover that what made our meteoric rise possible, as both an economic and a military world power is due to, FREEDOM. It is very simple. Where there is the freedom to think and dream and produce the things we have and have produced, for the world is because, WE the people are free! Therefore, WE have the incentive to produce, innovate and develop technologies, products and services and even produce food, like no other nation on earth! This freedom is NOT free. Men and women have paid for it and are still paying for it, to keep us FREE! If there were no other reasons than for them, each of us should vote! Freedom is NOT FREE. Someone(s) has to pay to protect it and WE should pay by voting to keep it!

I have selected the following videos, for all of us.

Dom Roso, a former U.S. Navy Seal, begins with a very somber wake-up call. Look beyond the sponsor of this video (the NRA – National Rife Association) and focus instead on, the message by someone who knows what he is talking about. He lived it on the front lines!

The next video is also, very sobering. As you watch it, think too of all the wars our soldiers fought before those on the video. Think on the Civil War and all others before it and then where our Country began, during the Revolutionary War, around 1776. FREEDOM has been fought for and paid for, for as long as the heart has cried for FREEDOM!

As many whine about how hard it is to sing or remember the words of our National anthem, listen to this five-year old little girl and behold her enthusiasm singing, The Star Spangled Banner.

As many may now grow up without ever learning and saying the Pledge of Allegiance because, it is thought to be ‘separation of church and state,’ due to just two words, “under God,” think about this next video from 1969.

To learn and sing our National Anthem, to recite the Pledge of Allegiance and to vote, seems pretty simple and the least WE can do, for those that pledge with their lives, to keep US FREE. What can they fight to protect, if we will not fight to keep our nation FREE?

And for them, what more can we do? If you see a soldier, thank them, help them, drive them to a polling place and ask them about why you should vote! Feed them and support them, where ever they are!

There are many things that make me angry and in time, I can usually get-over most of them, but this one really pisses me off. Now in public, I don’t normally use this kind of language, but it sure as hell fits here!

Not too often in the past, have I encountered such ignorance. Either I am starting to run into more of these people or there is a trend and the numbers are growing larger. I hope, I’m just running into them and they are NOT really getting larger!

Have you ever met people who almost proudly proclaim, “I don’t vote,” or “I’ve never voted,” well, I have, too often and too many times!

We are gearing up right now for another presidential election. Here is a summary of what I’ve read:

1. You can’t win the next election without the Latino, Women’s, Evangelical vote and etc.

2. Running third-party just splits the vote?

Are any of those things actually true? Third-parties spilt the vote? NO! Third parties provide an alternative to cast your vote as you believe, who is the best candidate. Win or lose is not the point. The point is exercising your choice and voting, that’s part of it, but there’s MORE! Consider the last presidential election. The ONLY reason the other party lost was because, 4 million registered voters stayed home and did not vote at all!

To leave or to yield pacifies great offenses. We cannot sit idly by and expect government to protect our rights!  To do nothing gives consent, to the government to greatly offend!

Why vote? You are exercising your inalienable rights and giving consent to the powers that be, “to secure these rights!

For myself, IF I cannot or will not explain this to anyone that does not vote, I have no reason to be angry with them about not voting. But IF I do explain this to them and they do not change, I have no reason to associate with them nor do they have a reason for me to NOT, be angry with them!

My most recent experience is with another non-voter which is a citizen (as far as I know), but he came here over 15 years ago from another country. He operates a successful business and I have done business with him for years, that is until recently. In a conversation, he revealed that he has proudly, never voted. And he never voted in his mother country either. I asked him why not, here? He said, “Why should I vote, I do not have children in school, why do I have to pay school tax?” Well, I don’t like school tax either, we do not have any school-age children living with us or that go to any school where we live, but this is not the point. It’s not that I mind contributing to a more educated future, I mind having to, without my FREE choice to do so! And as to the non-voting businessman, wouldn’t a more educated community make better customers, for him? I think and believe most assuredly, YES! Well, he became busy with customers and we did not finish our conversation. It needs to be resolved, before I can with a clear conscience, continue to do business with him. Is this too strong of a response to, his not-voting? Why should I give him one penny more, IF he will not vote, “to secure these rights!” By the way, I like him, he is a nice man; he has a nice family; he has a nice store that I frequent.

Usually, when I meet legal immigrants that either are new citizens here or are in the process of becoming citizens, I find that they know more about our country and form of government than many people I’ve met that were born here and have lived here all their lives! And many of them, have lived here many, many years longer than these new citizens or legal immigrants in route to becoming citizens! So, I was really taken by surprise, by my recent non-voter experience.

To be fair and honest, I need to explain to him and all others I know or may meet that do NOT vote, why they should vote. And IF after that and they still refuse to vote, I need to excuse myself, disassociate myself from them and as it might be, to no longer do business with them! Too strong a response by me?

Our rights being secured by the government of, by and for the people is, dependent upon all of us being educated and exercising those rights in voting and giving our consent, “to secure these rights!

I have a proposal.

Since WE the People know government wastes a lot of money that neither it or WE do NOT have, why not spend some of it on citizen education and voter registration! Who better to employ in these positions than returning soldiers or any veteran that needs and wants a job! Pay them a living wage so that they can support themselves and their families. Pay for their health care whereby, they can choose any doctor, medical service and hospital of their choice, for themselves and their families. And pay for their continued education and their families! Why? Because they have lived and live and many have died, “to secure these rights!”

Screw the VA Hospitals! Shut them ALL DOWN! Trying to compete with private healthcare supposedly, by controlling costs that actually bulge and inflate the federal government in costs to administer it, while denying coverage, increasing wait times for poor coverage and often which does NOT even give adequate coverage, to those that have served or are serving and to those families of those that have given the ultimate sacrifice, “to secure these rights,” is, dishonest and simply stated, screws OUR veterans!

The department of Citizen Education and Voter Registration, would perform 4 functions:

1. Support our veterans who have paid, “to secure these rights!”
2. Determine who is and who is not here legally, “to secure these rights!”
2. Educate or re-educate our citizens for an educated “citizenry,” “to secure these rights!”
3. Register voters to continue, “to secure these rights!”

Send them out to every dwelling in the whole United States and every territory and wherever a citizen may be. It could go, something like the following:

Hello, I’m      name      from the United States Department of Citizen Education and Voter Registration. I served     dates and places of service       in       branch of military      and I was [injured or served with those that were injured or gave their lives] to, “secure these rights” such as, “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness!” Now you may not agree with the political purposes, for which I and other soldiers were and are deployed or the political reasons our leaders would not allow us to complete the missions, or with the rules of engagement which restricts our service, for which were or are tasked, but I and all who served or serve, freely chose or freely chooses to do so, “to secure our rights!”

I am here to help educate or re-educate and to where necessary, help you to register to vote, that you too, might help to, “secure these rights!” A well-informed citizenry is necessary, to choose our political servants that will make the best possible decisions, “to secure these rights!”

What remains, “to secure these rights,” is NOT which is mightier, then pen or the sword because, both are necessary to those desirous of freedom and, “to secure these rights!” Freedom is NOT FREE! The sword or our military is necessary, “to secure these rights!” The pen or the instrument used to cast our votes is necessary, “to secure these rights!”

Our military use the ‘sword,’ “to secure these rights,” that WE the People, may continue to be FREE to use the ‘pen’ to vote,“to secure these rights,” and that they might NOT have to use the sword, “to secure these rights!”

And should you and I find ourselves in a conversation with a non-voter, if we know a veteran, ask them to help us, to secure these rights!” If we don’t know a veteran, find one and ask them to help us, “to secure these rights,” face to face, by conference or video call, by email or mail or by whatever means available to help us, “to secure these rights!” And after they have helped us AGAIN, “to secure these rights,” for sure, thank them, for their service, “to secure these rights,” but also feed them or give them something they might need for this their service AGAIN, “to secure these rights!” 

Freedom continues to ring, as long as, all are educated and exercise their right to vote and our military continues to exercise their right to serve, “to secure these rights!”  Send this link by an means necessary to all military, all citizens and especially, to all those that are ignorant of the right to vote, “to secure these rights!”

Well, if the title of this post does not make you want yell and scream and break something, what does it take? I’m not the one that said this. Who did? Oh, you probably never heard this from the media ANYWHERE in 2013. And you probably have not heard it from the mainstream media recently. I wonder why that is? But here it is before you right now. What are you going to do about it?

Jonathan Gruber  is, a professor at MIT, a professor of economics.  He wrote both Romney Care and he wrote the Affordable Care Act (Obama Care.)  In October of 2013, he was in Philadelphia speaking at the 24th Annual Health Economics Conference, and he spoke about the Affordable Care Act (Obama Care) and how and what they had to do to make it a reality.

“This bill was written in a tortured way to make sure CBO (Congressional Budget Office) did not score the mandate as taxes.  If CBO scored the mandate as taxes, the bill dies, okay?  So it’s written to do that.  In terms of risk-rated subsidies, if you had a law which said healthy people are gonna’ pay in… If you made it explicit the healthy people pay in and sick people get money, it would not have passed, okay?  Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage.  And basically, you know, call it the stupidity of American voter or whatever. But basically that was really, really critical to getting the thing to pass.”

In defense of the Affordable Care Act (Obama Care), he admits that there are problems with this law, but his last words at the end of his little speech are, repeated twice, “I would rather have this law than not.”

The parties will not! Our founders NEVER mentioned ANY political party when they wrote the Constitution of the United States of America. In the farewell address of George Washington, he warned us about polpars (political parties). Government will not and cannot. Therefore, WE the People need to –

DontConfuseMe2Some facts, for ‘The  “You are racists” and “You hate women” crowd. From the party that helped elect the current president TWICE, these are some FACTS from the midterm elections in 2014.

  1. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), running in New York’s 21st district, became the youngest woman ever elected to Congress. She’s the first Republican to win the district, which had been held by Democratic Rep. Bill Owens since 1993.  
  1. Joni Ernst became the first woman ever to represent Iowa in the United States Senate. Not only that, she becomes the first female veteran in the Senate. Republican Joni Ernst will become Iowa’s first female U.S. senator — and the first female veteran in the history of the U.S. Senate
  2. Mia Love, from Utah and a Mormon, became the first black woman Republican elected to Congress. She is now the first black Republican woman in Congress and the first Haitian-American member of Congress from either party.
  3. South Carolina’s Tim Scott on Tuesday, November 4th, 2014, became the first African-American senator to win election in the South since Reconstruction. Uhh, that was between 1865 to 1877 or, 137- 149 years ago!

“Don’t Confuse Me With the Facts!”

Come on people, aren’t you tired, sick and tired of not just the one polpar (political party), but the other major one as well??? This un-nutritious non-food is cooked up by the parties and served to US by the media. And why, to maintain or gain control over the People’s (that’s US) resources! The arrogance that government is smarter than WE the People compels them to hide their true intentions by saying, “Come over here, we’re the party of everyone and everything, join us, we support you!” But in reality, they have to grow and expand the government to pay or borrow to pay the interest on the debt of all their unfulfilled promises. WE the People are, the interest and WE the People are, the debt and the recipients of all those unfulfilled  and actually, technically impossible promises!

The “other” party, oh they have plenty to say as well, “Come join us, we want to reduce the size of government and increase your freedom, your rights.” But in order to do that, this and that must me cut and eliminated or at least scaled down-scaled back and they don’t really tell us how they intend on doing that and who gets hurt in the process. Remember this, it’s always the same thing – follow the money! Whoever is in control, gets the power and the control, and has the purse that belongs to US, WE the People!
