Secure the Blessings of Liberty

There can be no Blessings of Liberty without Security!

I find research, compassion, sharing, and being solution driven and calls to action, interesting. The call to take action may also, be thought of as, a “call to arms.” When it comes to the Blessings of Liberty, this is, “our call to ”arms”!!

Few people understand the 2nd Amendment or what is behind it, in having “it”, in the Constitution.

This ignorance is caused by our failure to understand the Constitution and what is behind it. We do not understand it because, we are not taught or we do not choose to take up “arms”, for it. That “it” is, the Declaration of Independence.

To be clear, the 2nd Amendment is, inextricably bound to the Constitution. It cannot be separated from it. The Constitution is, inextricably bound to the Declaration of Independence. It cannot be separated from it.

For clarity and simplicity, I will use two documents and 8 words from them:

1. “Life”
2. “Liberty”
3., 4., 5., 6. “The Pursuit of Happiness”
7. “Arms”
8. “Secure”

The Declaration of Independence is, declaratory of many things, but most importantly, of unalienable rights that among these are– “Life,” “Liberty,” and, “The Pursuit of Happiness.”

The Constitution is, the resolve to be readied and active, to protect, defend and preserve (“Secure”), these and all rights, for ourselves and our posterity– to, of and by, the collective, WE the People.

Although unalienable rights which are, endowed by God, would apply to all humankind the world over, the United States of America put it in writing, in our founding documents. Due to the presence of evil or if you prefer, the corruption of our innate imperfection and therefore, a proclivity (tendency), towards corruption, this necessitates “arms”, to protect, defend and preserve (“Secure”), these rights.

The issues are, behavior and responsibility. Neither can be legislated. No law can force anyone to behave responsibly. It can only warn and punish those, which do not act responsibly.

Does anyone have the right to be uncivil towards any other? Think about that the next time you think about “civil rights”, irresponsibly act or behave in any uncivil manner. Courtesy and responsibility are also, “arms” to secure, “The Blessings of Liberty!”

Every citizen in the USA has the right to bare “arms” and the right to exercise that right, in a responsible and “civil” manner. Because some may not act responsibly and in a civilized manner, this is exactly WHY, we have the right to bare “arms” in the first place. Actually, this second amendment right, follows the first–

First Amendment:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

The whole purpose of this entire amendment is inextricably bound to, the Declaration of Independence and to rights that among these are– “Life, Liberty and The Pursuit of Happiness.”

Following this, let us now read the–

Second Amendment.

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

There are four phrases in this sentence. They are each separated by commas. But they are also, joined and form a complete thought, a whole sentence. This whole connected thought is, concluded with a period. A period (.),  as in – that’s it, done, moving on, next and etc.! Each phrase is separate, but–

What does “infringed” mean?

Infringed – to commit a breach or infraction of; violate or transgress:

What shall (not will, but absolute or absolutely), NOT, be “infringed?” The right of the people to keep and bare “arms” shall not be infringed! Why? Our right to keep and bear “arms” is necessary because, it is NECESSARY, to the security of a free state! A union of free states is only possible if, each state is free. The state is only free if, its people are free! How is this possible? The “state” can only be “free” by, a “well regulated militia”. Notice the words, “well regulated.” It does not say– unwell, uncontrolled, un-responsible’ or unorganized, undisciplined, unwise, unrestrained un-financed’ or unregulated, but “well regulated.” This is not possible without the necessity, to secure the freedoms of each state. Each state is only free if, its people are free. This freedom is only possible if, the people have the right and responsibly exercise this right, to keep and bare “arms”.  And this is only possible, if they are NOT and shall not be, infringed.

The importance of the second amendment is central to all our rights as individuals and as a people. Without the second amendment, no other right is possible to be exercised, realized and secured. Why, because of evil, infallibility and corruption inherent in all people, security is necessary. Servants of government are, after all also, just people, imperfect people.

In reading the Declaration of Independence of 1776, there are twenty-seven (27), separate acts of infringement of, unalienable rights, by the government (King George). He violated the separation of powers (legislative, executive and judicial). This compelled the colonies, in legal terms, to separate and to self-govern because, government (King George), had broken the laws of “Nature and Natures God”, universal law. To secure those rights, the colonists were prepared to and did, take up “arms”!

As security is the primary function of government, government being a necessary evil, its secondary function is, to be restricted and limited, so as to not infringe on the rights of its boss, its master, its people, WE the People.

Again, our rights do not come from government. The Declaration and the Constitution merely declare or list, what some (not all), of our rights are. And it declares– certain restrictions and limits its government or anyone; any thing, from power and authority, not granted by, WE the People.

“…in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers, that further declaratory and restrictive clauses should be added:”

Note the words, “declaratory and restrictive clauses”. Any rights mentioned in these ten amendments are NOT given by our government, they are “declared” because, they have always existed, for and to all people, all over the world and for all time. What distinguishes our Republic from all other sovereign people is, we have many of our preexisting rights, and separation of powers and certain restrictions, put into writing and this Constitution is, the law of, WE the People. It was written to secure these rights, from even our government, which otherwise, would endeavor to infringe, violate, and transgress them!

It must be clear and clearly understood that neither the Declaration of Independence nor the Constitution gives or affords anyone, any rights whatsoever! The first merely declares some of them and the latter declares others, for the express purpose of, the government of, by, and for the people, to secure those rights. This is the primary responsibility of government, not to give anyone any rights, but to secure them. Rights cannot be exercised without security. Security is the responsibility of, not only our government to secure those rights, but also, everyone of us, WE the People!

Then there is the argument as to whether the Constitution of the United States is “organic”, as something unmovable and not subject to change? Or, is the Constitution “living”, as something dynamic and subject to change?

The two polar opposites are– the Constitution being “organic”, cannot be changed by interpreting what strict constitutionalists believe, the original intents that the writers of the Constitution meant. If the Constitution is a “living” document, then it can be interpreted and/or applied to the current times in which people live.

The difference between “Organic” and “Living” are crucial to understand. By “differences” I mean as they are held as separate, but not equal. If it is only “organic”, then it cannot be altered or changed and relates to the past. If it is “living”, it can be altered and changed and relates to the present. This would mean that the past is obsolete and only the present matters. In other words, “organic” law was, for the times in which they were written, but are not relevant today? These words were written in the 18th century and they were fine or OK then. But this is the 21st century and the past is past?

Perhaps the phrase “organic law”, was first suggested by Abraham Lincoln? The following is from his first inaugural address, as president of the United States.

“But no organic law can ever be framed with a provision specifically applicable to every question which may occur in practical administration.”

I would like to point out that Lincoln never used the words “interpreted” or ”pending judicial review”. He never said it was from the past or obsolete. But he did say and it is written and the word is,  “application.” Some believe that what he meant by “no organic law” was, to imply that the Constitution is a “living” document? In reading the entire address, others suggest that Lincoln interchangeably used “organic law” with the Constitution and that is all he meant, nothing more and nothing less?

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, arguably once the Supreme Court’s most conservative member,  grabbed headlines for his remarks made, while speaking to a group of students at Southern Methodist University, in Dallas, Texas, January, 2013.

Scalia said law schools did not sufficiently emphasize that judicial decisions should reflect the letter of the law. You could replace the words, “letter of the law” with “organic law” or the single word, “constitution” as it was originally written. Justice Scalia spoke of schoolchildren coming to visit the Supreme Court and calling the Constitution, a– “living document” –

“It’s not a living document. It’s dead, dead, dead!”

With all due respect to Justice Scalia, “organic law” is NOT dead and it is also, a “living document” because, it is also, “living law”! Yes, I believe the Constitution is both “organic” and “living” law, but not as you or others might think. Think of “organic” as something we need to sustain our lives. “Organic” is for, the “living.” What is “living” cannot long survive on inorganic matter. But the “living” thing changes throughout its life, like: seed —sprout, seedling, vegetative, budding, flowering and ripening (maturing or harvesting).

SEED —SPROUT, SEEDLING, VEGETATIVE, BUDDING, FLOWERING and RIPENING.

The seed (The Declaration & the Constitution), is “organic” law. There can be none without the other. They are one. It says what it means and means what it says.

The various stages of growth (the application), is “Living” law (dynamic and changing law).

As far as the Declaration and the Constitution are concerned, they are “organic” – unchanging and unmovable law, but it is also “living” – dynamic and changing law.

How can the law be both “organic” and “living”? The principles and precepts, our rights are, “organic” – unmovable and unchanging law. It is “living” – dynamic and movable law, as to its current or present application. 

The key to understanding this is, a single word. This word is NOT interpretation, but the word is, “application.” This is most clear when we look at the second amendment and the word, “arms”.

The word “arms” may be defined and understood, according to the means and methods and manners of the day in which they were first written, in our founding documents. The same would be equally true today or at anytime, by its “application”. Application proceeds from its “organic” nature and thus, it is “living.” In other words, its application, its “living” nature may and can be applied because of, its “organic” nature.” Our rights do not change nor do the restrictions or limitations of government, to not infringe those rights. This is “organic” law. So the only thing left is the “application” which is, the “living” law. Our law is, both “organic” and “living”–

First Amendment:

The context of the above text is, “organic” law. It, like the Declaration of Independence, declares that the former government (King George) had infringed universal, God-given, unalienable rights which are, from the laws of Nature or Natures God. The individual is endowed by their creator (not a person or persons), with certain unalienable rights that among these ARE, “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. The King tried to establish a religion (the Church of England of which he was also, the head). He prohibited the free exercise of any other religion. He abridged free speech and the press. He refused the peaceable assembly and the petitions to government (himself), for a redress of grievances.

The context of the above text is, “living” law. In order to form a more perfect union, the application of the organic law was to appoint and elect by the people, representatives of the people (Representatives and Senators). These representatives ONLY, are empowered to make law instead of one or a few. But they were not then nor are they now, able to make any law which infringe the right to secure any right, universal or God-given, from the Laws of Nature, Nature’s God, the creator whom, has endowed each individual with certain rights that among these are, “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness!”

Following this, let us now read the–

Second Amendment.

Some say and believe the words of the second amendment are opaque or unclear, too loose, faulty; imperfect and subject to interpretation, as the powers that be, see fit? Interpretation of law is, infringement! To understand the context of law is, how the law was applied!

Not you, not I and not anyone, has the right to interpret the law! It does not matter what anyone might think or believe that the writers of our founding documents originally meant and intended! That is interpretation and infringement. Their words were and are, specific and clear, crystal clear! The only thing different today should be, how these words apply.

There is much more to “arms” than bullets and guns

In the day in which this right was written, “arms” may have not been much more than a knife, an ax, a pitchfork or a single shot musket, as to physical “arms”. But in the past, today, and always, “arms” are more, much more than physical means to disarm an opponent, an enemy! Anything or anyone that would separate anyone, from their God-given unalienable rights is, an enemy.

To disarm would include— the physical means, mental, psychological, civil, responsible, courteous, emotional, spiritual or any other means necessary, to disarm an opponent or an enemy.

The fourth amendment states our right to be “secure” in our “persons, houses, papers and effects”, and that no one, no thing, not government and nothing, shall violate (infringe), that right. No one, not you nor I can can surrender, forfeit, transfer, trade give away or sell our rights because, they are unalienable, we are endowed with them! Our creator endows our rights! They are a gift! No one can take away our rights! It is so written in our founding documents. It is both “Organic” law and “Living” law when applied to their current or present time.

Not the NSA, not Google; not Facebook or any other person or thing, has the right to take and store our data, their agreements all be damned! And neither do we have the right to agree with those agreements! Why, because they infringe on our right, to secure our right, to secure our rights!

An application of our current times to our law (Organic & Living law), is to “arm” ourselves with data protection, virus protection, malware protection, ad-blockers, secure WIFI, virtual private networks (VPN’s), anti-spam, anti-phishing software and etc. or we should get off the Internet, away from social media, cellphones, anything digital or that which contains global positioning satellite (GPS), technology. All of these things are or can be also, “arms.” Competition is or can be “arms”! Build a better mousetrap, social media and etc. All of these “arms” are, a lot more than just knives, bullets and guns, are they not?!

Today, “arms” could include an AR-15 or some other high-tech number of “arms.” It does not matter what the physical means to disarm are, as they are inanimate objects, which have no ability to disarm! Only the individual can arm themselves and disarm an opponent, an enemy. Only responsible individuals so armed, form the security of a free state. Only responsible individuals are free. Only responsible individuals are well-regulated. Only responsible individuals, shall not be infringed.

Does anyone have the right to be uncivil towards any other? Think about that the next time you think about “civil rights”, irresponsibly act or behave in any uncivil manner. Courtesy and responsibility are also, “arms” to secure, “The Blessings of Liberty!”

Think of responsibility as, the ability to respond and to respond, responsibly. One could take a knife, kind words and courtesy to a gunfight and disarm their opponent if, they are first to respond and the first to disarm. A car, truck, home-made explosive, incendiary device, a drone and other such inanimate objects can be “arms”, but all of them, require the programming and control by people. It is responsible people that are to keep and bear “arms”, who shall not be infringed!

Just as the Declaration of Independence, The Constitution of the United States and its amendments do not define “arms” in the past (organic law), or its application (living law), in the present. Neither do these specify how many “arms” anyone may have or how much ammunition one may “keep and bear”. Consider this– why should our government be allowed to “keep and bear…” any “arms” that its people cannot? That would be or is, irresponsible and infringement of our right, to secure our right, to secure our rights! Now I am not suggesting that we all go out an acquire a nuclear device, but I do sometime wonder about microwaves and our cellphones, pretty much doing the same thing only more slowly? But remember the words of Franklin—

“Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety”

The second amendment does not define the purposes of bearing “arms” only its reason, for security. They could have been used; they could be used, to acquire food, for sport, for collections, for investments, for history, and for protection of property and persons, papers, effects, and for etc., and even our data, our intellectual property. No, this right does not specify the type of “arms”or how many one could have and how much ammunition one may “keep”. The second amendment is, just a simple and complete sentence (organic law), which ends with a period. Its parts, separated by commas are–

Behind this right (the context, for which it applied), were the British that tried to confiscate “arms” and disarm the colonies. Today, this same thing follows armed conflict and even under the banner of a well-intended protest, in the name of, ‘gun control’. Why not call it, “arms” control, to be accurate? Why would or why should any responsible parent, guardian or caretaker allow, their children to protest against the right to secure the right, to secure our rights? Ignorantly or intentional, these are not acts of responsibility! Why would or should any responsible teacher, administrator or other adult, paid and entrusted by the public to educate our children, allow our children to protest, against the right to secure the right, to secure our rights? Through ignorance or if intentional, these are not the actions of responsible adults! Well, neither “arms” nor type and number of “arms” and amount of ammunition, are the issues!

Rights and responsibility are inextricably bound to each other. One cannot be separated from the other. One could be on the right track, but get run over, if they were to just stand there. No, that would NOT be a responsible thing to do!

Education is another way to arm and disarm.

“Educate and inform the whole mass of the people…They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty.”

Self-government or self-governing, (Liberty) is, another way to arm and disarm (Secure).

“Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety”

Benjamin Franklin

Franklin’s words above are often quoted, but rarely ever explained in the context (how it was applied), in which they were given. Without its context, these words are believed to suggest that we may agree to give up some or all of our liberty, in exchange for “a little safety” (security)? But this is not, absolutely not, what Franklin said! The Penn family ruled Pennsylvania from afar and appointed their own governor. The governor repeatedly blocked the legislature from raising money (taxing its people), for their security. The Penn family were willing to “pay” for the security of the state, in exchange for the legislature NOT, taxing their lands. This was an attempt by the Penn family, to violate “separation of powers”. They were trying to give this authority to the executive branch instead of the legislative branch. These were attempts to prevent the legislative branch, from doing its job under its sole constitutional authority, to make law and to “provide for the common defense.” This was an infringement of the right to self-govern. But Franklin’s quote shows, “Liberty” and “Safety” are, aligned. We cannot have one without the other–

The application of Liberty and Security is, another way to arm and disarm.

“On every occasion [of Constitutional application] let us carry ourselves back to the time when the Constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested in the debates, and instead of trying [to force] what meaning may be squeezed out of the text, or invented against it, [instead let us] conform to the probable one in which it was passed.”

Training and preparation is, another way to arm and disarm.

“The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. A well regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the best and most natural defense of a free country.”

The history of application, and education with preparation and training is, another way to arm and disarm.

“Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.”

William Pitt (the Younger), Speech in the House of Commons, November 18, 1783

Our government could be considered as notorious, infamous, or having a proclivity (tendency), to use some crisis, some national state of emergency (real or imagined), to infringe our right, to secure our rights. A nervous populous may consider giving up some or all of our rights, in exchange for “safety” or some good-will cause. In its basic form, this is infringement and brought to bear by fear. WE need to see this, understand it and overcome fear, by the history of application, and education with preparation and training with “arms”. To arm responsibly is, the ONLY responsible way, to arm and disarm. It is the first law of nature (Laws of Nature or Nature’s God).

“This may be considered as the true palladium(2) of liberty…. The right of self defense is the first law of nature: in most governments it has been the study of rulers to confine this right within the narrowest limits possible. Wherever standing armies are kept up, and the right of the people to keep and bear arms is, under any color or pretext whatsoever, prohibited, liberty, if not already annihilated, is on the brink of destruction.”

(2) Palladium is both an interesting and an excellent word choice by Tucker. Lets first look to its origin.  It is from the Greek word Palládion, noun use of neuter of Palládios of Pallas, equivalent to Pallad- (stem of Pallás) Pallas + -ios adj. Suffix. It is named after the epithet of the Greek goddess Athena, acquired by her when she slew Pallas. It was also, a statue of Athena, especially one on the citadel of Troy on which the safety (secure, security), of the city was supposed to depend. Palladium is also, a chemical element with symbol Pd and atomic number 46. It is a rare and lustrous silvery-white metal, discovered in 1803 by William Hyde Wollaston. He named it after the asteroid Pallas, which was itself named after the epithet of the Greek goddess Athena. On the MOH scale (measures weight from 1-7), platinum is rated at a 4 and palladium, a 5. When alloyed (armed), platinum goes up to a 4.5 and palladium to a 5.75. Just to give you some context as to what these numbers mean, the bottom of the scale is talc and at the top is diamond. Your finger nail would rate at 2.5, the same hardness as pure gold or pure silver. Stainless steel is a 6 and a diamond is 7. Perhaps Tucker knew of this discovery in 1803 when he wrote the text above? Perhaps he did not? To which ever application (“living” law) he was referring to, secure, security is, “organic” law!

Returning now, this last time here, to the second amendment, know this– our individual right to secure our rights, existed long before our Declaration of Independence, our Constitution and our Bill of Rights, (the first ten amendments), were ever written. In truth, this right has always existed, for as long as people, have populated this planet. They were written (“organic” law), so that we could apply (“living” law), to secure the Blessings of Liberty.

“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

There can be no Blessings of Liberty without Security!

Any sovereign state, sovereign nation, sovereign country (because its people are sovereign ), have the right to secure our right, to secure our rights, for only our citizens!!!! This is stated in the Preamble to our Constitution, “WE the People of the United States!”

Anyone which would propose, protest, legislate, adjudicate, execute, regulate, limit, prevent, impede, alter, change and vote against our right, to secure our rights, infringe our rights! Any such, though friend or family; immigrant (not yet a citizen), illegal alien, or anyone illegally harboring and giving sanctuary to and giving notice of pending arrests, should all be considered as, enemies of, “the Blessings of Liberty!!!

If anyone asks why anyone would want or need an AR-15, for example, an honest answer would be, it is none of their business! But the best answer is, it is your right, to secure your rights, against any enemy and even our own government.

If you or I fear the use of “arms”, remember the following words in 1933.

“So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is …fear itself — nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance.”

Let us not be like deer in headlights. Let us not freeze when the lion roars. Preparation is, a necessity, before and if, necessity finds us ill-prepared and unarmed! If our response to disarm cannot be with equal or greater force, let us be PREPARED to be, the first to respond, to disarm and secure our right, to secure our rights!

Overcome fear by becoming “armed.” WE must “arm” ourselves with whatever is necessary, to secure our right, to secure our rights!

WE should check with our doctors to ensure that we have sufficient physical ability and the mental capacity to arm ourselves. We should take safety courses. Join safe clubs. Purchase “arms” from reputable dealers. “Arm” ourselves legally and responsibly. Join the NRA. Practice often. Teach others. Teach and show our children. Start family and neighborhood clubs and watches. Watch over others. There is strength in numbers. There is peace through strength. Be a deterrent. Stop inviting criminals and the mentally unstable in, to– our homes, businesses, places of worship, schools and etc., with foolish signs like, ‘We are, un-armed here’!

Secure your right, to secure your rights!

We must become like the signers of the Declaration of Independence and pledge to each other, “our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor”, for our individual right, to secure our rights, for ourselves and the futures of our children and the future of our republic!

Above all else remember, law (Organic and Living), is made, to inform and warn of what is lawless and to punish the lawless. It is not to punish or infringe the rights of the responsible, the law-abiding! The lawless and the mentally immature and unstable are NOT responsible. The law-abiding are responsible, they should be or WE should become, responsible! If actual or if it is a threat to infringe and if it is by evil intent, by a criminal, by our government, a mentally unstable person, an immature person, a family member, friend, associate or stranger, it is still, an infringement! PenofRevolutio2John Dickinson, often referred to as the “penman of the Revolution,” was an American statesman, and a delegate to the Continental Congress. During the Second Continental Congress, there was high tension among the delegates and intense debate over revolution, but Dickinson refused to vote for or sign the Declaration of Independence, saying the emerging nation was not ready for open revolt against the most powerful empire on earth. In the end, he abstained from voting so that the overall tally for independence would be unanimous. He supported the revolution in many other ways and even in battle. He was one of the writers of the Articles of Confederation. Dickinson also helped draft the U.S. Constitution. He was born in 1732 and won fame in 1767, as the author of, ‘Letters from a Farmer in Pennsylvania,’ his Pennsylvania Chronicle, a series of 12 essays.

Are there Limits to Freedom of Speech?

Polite3Almost everywhere we go today inside and outside of the Internet and from any and all forms of information exchanged among all people, the words, “freedom of speech,” come up. Do we even really understand what those words mean? Oh, we probably understand that it is part of ‘The Bill of Rights’ and within the very first amendment to the Constitution. But do we really understand what these words mean and what ‘The Law of the Land’ had intended to protect? Smart people think they know. Lawyers and judges and particularly, the Supreme Court think they know. But here is the question, are there limits to freedom of speech? Depending on your perspective, you may not like the answer, but the simple answer is, yes. Yes, there are limits to the freedom of speech!

In almost every single argument that gets heated, one or all parties usually walk away from the others with similar words to follow, on their breath, “It’s freedom of speech, I have a right to say whatever I want!” Do you really? Well, for one thing, it is against the law to yell “fire” in a crowded theater if there is no fire. It is against the law to yell “bomb” on a crowded airplane or jet, if there is no such bomb. These two illustrations don’t even begin to define what freedom of speech is or is not. “Not?” Well, sure, to understand what something is, it is also important to to understand what it is “not.”

Current phrases tossed around  now are: “haters,” “don’t be a hater,” “racist”, “race-baiters” and “hate speech.”

Here is where our subject really goes dark. Dark as, “in the dark,” clueless and pretty much useless as a tool for communication. The law of language states that it is absolutely impossible to articulate in words, that which is not understood. Well, darned if religious leaders (so called), politicians, lawyers, judges and other supposed “smart people” don’t try anyway! To some degree or another, all engage in this type of communication behavior. There are a couple of descriptions (perhaps more) for these. One is called, “talking out of both sides of your mouth.” Another is, talking from your rear posterior or your derrière, rear, buttocks, butt, ass etc. The ancient Greeks had a word for this and it is epiluō and is defined as: “using the voice without reference given to the words spoken.” It is used in literature as, letting dogs loose on the game as in a hunt. In the vernacular and today, it still means what it always has, talking without understanding, what your talking about.

We see this type of behavior everywhere today. Politicians say what they think we want to hear or what is politically expedient for them, especially if there is an election coming up and they want to be, re-elected. We see it in politics when executives try to legislate or interpret the law or both. We see it in the legislative branch when they try to execute or interpret the law or both. We see in in the judiciary branch when they try to execute the law, legislate the law, interpret the law or all of these. We see it in journalism when instead of reporting the news, it is either fiction or editorialized. Now most of these people, in all these fields are highly educated. So, this is where it all stems from, education. What has higher education given the rest of us? It has graduated people that know how to dot every ‘i’ and cross every ‘t’, write binding contracts with loopholes and still, don’t understand what they are talking about. If they, the smart people in charge, are without a clue, what about the rest of us? So, before saying that our education system has failed, what is education? It comes from the Latin word ēducātus which means, “to lead out.”

How can anyone “lead out” anyone from trouble, failure and bondage to peace, success and freedom, if they don’t understand what they are talking about or where they are going? That would be, IMPOSSIBLE!

Without getting into a biblical discussion here, I find one verse of scripture and two  words in particular, very interesting, in light of what we are discussing here.

 

“Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.”

The word “idiot” is derived from another Greek word, idios, and simply means, “ones own.” It is translated in the above scripture by the word, “private.” Remember the Greek word epiluō? There is another form and it is the word epilussis “‘letting loose” The word epilussis is translated in the above verse as, “interpretation.” So, no prophecy of the scripture (singular for the plural – i.e. scripture(s) of the Bible is, of any “one’s own” “letting loose.” No where in the Constitution is the right to “interpret” the Constitution ever even hinted at, that this is a function of the Supreme Court! But somehow, they think it does.

Where is this freedom of speech to be found? It is found in the first amendment to the Constitution, we often refer to as, ‘The Bill of Rights.’ What are its actual words?

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

I would just like to point out that the very first words in the very first amendment are, “Congress shall (not will or maybe, but absolutely=shall not) make no law…” If congress cannot make any law, for these protected rights, then no executive branch can carry out what is NOT a law and no Supreme Court can rule or “interpret” any law that does not exist. But this is exactly what every single branch of government has done, is doing and will continue to do, unless stopped!

We are talking about the Constitution, which all states agreed to and it was required that all states and future states offer to its people, a republic form of government, like the Constitution, and have a balance of power (executive, legislative and judiciary) like the Constitution. Some states made their own state constitutions word for word, just like the U.S. Constitution while others patterned theirs after the Constitution, but made them to reflect the will of its own people.

As to freedom of speech, what follows is, the Supreme Court’s brief history of, interpreting our right to speak freely.

 

In 1942, Justice Frank Murphy summarized the case law:

“There are certain well-defined and limited classes of speech, the prevention and punishment of which have never been thought to raise a Constitutional problem. These include the lewd and obscene, the profane, the libelous and the insulting or “fighting” words – those which by their very utterances inflict injury or tend to incite an immediate breach of the peace.”

In 1969, the Supreme Court protected a Ku Klux Klan member’s racist and hate-filled speech and created the ‘imminent danger’ test to permit hate speech. The court ruled in Brandenburg v. Ohio that;

“The constitutional guarantees of free speech and free press do not permit a state to forbid or proscribe advocacy of the use of force, or of law violation except where such advocacy is directed to inciting imminent lawless action and is likely to incite or produce such action.”

Only speech that poses an imminent danger of unlawful action, where the speaker has the intention to incite such action and there is the likelihood that this will be the consequence of his or her speech, may be restricted and punished by that law. 

In 1992, R.A.V. v. City of St. Paul, the issue of freedom to express hatred arose again when a gang of white people burned a cross in the front yard of a black family. The local ordinance in St. Paul, Minnesota, criminalized such racist and hate-filled expressions and the teenager was charged there under. Associate justice Antonin Scalia, writing for the Supreme Court, held that the prohibition against hate speech was unconstitutional as it contravened the First Amendment. The Supreme Court struck down the ordinance. Scalia explicated the “fighting words” exception as follows:

“The reason why fighting words are categorically excluded from the protection of the First Amendment is not that their content communicates any particular idea, but that their content embodies a particularly intolerable (and socially unnecessary) mode of expressing whatever idea the speaker wishes to convey”

Because the hate speech ordinance was not concerned with the mode of expression, but with the content of expression, it was a violation of the freedom of speech. Thus, the Supreme Court embraced the idea that hate speech is permissible unless it will lead to imminent hate violence. The opinion noted, “This conduct, if proved, might well have violated various Minnesota laws against arson, criminal damage to property”, among a number of others, none of which was charged, including threats to any person, not to only protected classes.

In 2011, the Supreme Court issued their ruling on Snyder v. Phelps, which concerned the right of the Westboro Baptist Church to protest with signs found offensive by many Americans. The issue presented was whether the 1st Amendment protected the expressions written on the signs. In an 8-1 decision the court sided with Phelps, the head of Westboro Baptist Church, thereby confirming their historically strong protection of hate speech, so long as it doesn’t promote imminent violence. The Court explained:

“Speech deals with matters of public concern when it can ‘be fairly considered as relating to any matter of political, social, or other concern to the community’ or when it ‘is a subject of general interest and of value and concern to the public.”

Hate speech was mentioned. What is it?

In law, hate speech is any speech, gesture or conduct, writing, or display which is forbidden because it may incite violence or prejudicial action against or by a protected individual or group, or because it disparages or intimidates a protected individual or group. The law may identify a protected individual or a protected group by certain characteristics. In some countries, a victim of hate speech may seek redress under civil law, criminal law, or both. A website that uses hate speech is called a hate site. Most of these sites contain Internet forums and news briefs that emphasize a particular viewpoint. There has been debate over how freedom of speech applies to the Internet as well as hate speech in general.

As you can clearly see, most of us are so confused, we can’t even see. The term “freedom of speech” is, so loose and so broad that it even includes “hate” speech as a protected right, I guess, as long as it it does not cause a riot? Come on, really? Have we lost or have we no common sense at all? Am I supposed to NOT be offended by what you do not find offensive and the same would apply to you? It is all, just a matter of opinion? You and everyone else and I all have the right to say anything we want? Is this freedom of speech? Is this a protected right by the law of the land?

Now, this next thing might really offend some of you because, like our current president, you view the Constitution as a flawed document. Well, I don’t share his or this opinion. But what were they thinking in the late 1700’s, when this document was written? The same writ, has stood for over 200 hundred years, despite the many “flaws” of others that have tried to execute, legislate and interpret outside of it! Yes, what were those long dead and irrelevant people of long ago thinking?

Can you imagine any of our founders wanting to go against the king’s state religion to set up their own? Do you think they wanted the right to call the king an a–h–e, a MF, the N word or tell him to to go f–k himself? Do you think they wanted to jump up and down on and spit on and curse the Flag of England?  Do you suppose they wanted to replace the king’s media with their own elite media of— do as I say, not as I do, or to just make up whatever, to sell more stuff, for more money? The ridiculousness of all these things and the answers to them lie within the last words of the first amendment:

 

“…the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

 

I have purposefully highlighted in bold text, “the right of the people to peaceably assemble…” Now how can the people assemble “peaceably” if, the individuals are not at peace? Impossible!

Prior to the Constitution, there was written, The Declaration of Independence. It was a logical, civil and polite declaration. Logically, it stated its premises and logically concluded that its only possible solution was, to declare its independence. It was written in a civil manner and politely. Perhaps we should read or re-read this work, as it just might give us a clue as to what freedom of speech was really all about? Maybe instead of endless and needless speech policies, for companies, businesses, organizations and social media, all that really should be required and enforced is, IS IT POLITE Does the speech offend or build up? Does our speech lead others out or leave them in darkness or drive them deeper into it.

In the name of freedom of speech or expression, we have been subjected to that it’s OK, to use filthy language to hurl an expletive, almost every second. Comedians are near-perfect experts at this. This is no more language just heard behind closed doors, but is common in nearly every public and private place. It is language that most of our parents and caregivers scolded us and perhaps punished us for, its unacceptable use. And weren’t most of us taught the rhyming lie, “sticks and stones can break my bones, but words can never hurt me?” Go repeat this to family and friends who have lost loved ones to suicide and other non-peaceful acts because, of hateful speech, from mental bullies! But then, some of us make it through and become adults. We become adults that this language and these types of words and our children hear and see. What do they hear and see us saying and doing? Are they not confused by the old saying— “do as I say, not as I do?” Do they not grow up to think that hypocrisy is acceptable and confused about integrity or meaning what you say and saying what you mean really means, nothing!

Yes, the child that spits and calls out hurtful names and bullies other kids in the ‘sandbox’ so to speak, grow up. The brain expands. They become more educated and many become even, ‘highly educated’ and what do they do with it? They find faster ways, better ways, legal ways, loopholes and more so called “creative” ways, to destroy lives. All of it under the name of freedom of speech. It has become acceptable to and a current trend to disrespect the flag. And yet few people realize or have ever read the U.S. Flag code that makes it against the law, to do such things. And fewer people realize that our own government, does not enforce these laws. So, what do people think? They think and believe that they have the right to spit on the flag, burn it, jump up and down on it, crap on it or whatever and this is just freedom of speech, freedom of expression, freedom of artistic expression and freedom to make your points known, even if it offends others. Oh come on now, how ludicrous is this! What is not somewhere, sometime and to someone,  NOT offensive and are offended something?

Since everyone is offended by something and most liberal minded minds don’t want to offend anyone, what solutions are offered? Pretty much the argument goes, I have freedom of speech to say pretty much anything. Courts rule on it. Laws are made by it and people pretty much say whatever they want. What kind of solution is that? That is not a solution! It is illogical! It sounds to me, a lot like lawlessness, rebellion in the name of revolution and anarchy under the guise of freedom of speech!

The solution is plain and simple. It is right in front of us. Are there limits to freedom of speech? YES!

What are these limits? You or I do not have the right to yell fire in a crowded theater if there is no fire. We do not have the right to yell bomb on a crowded airplane or jet, if there is none. Why not? Common sense says this could cause a panic, start a riot, disturb the peace and people could be hurt, crushed and even killed. We do not have the right to say anything that is NOT true. These are called lies and are seen as libel, slander, copyright and patent infringement among others. We do not have the right to hurt and kill others physically, and we do not have the right to hurt anyone emotionally, physically and spiritually, with words. On and on we could go here and perhaps I am “preaching to the choir?” But the solution is much more simple than just endless examples, which many may view as nothing more than just, my opinion.

So, what exactly does the first amendment to the Constitution mean? What is the right? Who has these rights? And to answer these, we also answer to whom this amendment was written for and what it is designed to protect us from.

These first amendment rights are to, of, for and by us, WE the People. It clearly states what and/or to whom we are to be protected of or from. And what is that? Anything or anyone, that is not polite!

We each have the right to choose our own expression of belief, but in our discourse of expressing them, we must be polite. We have the freedom of speech, but our speech must be polite. The press (media) is free to express the facts, but they must be polite. We have the right to assemble peaceably and redress government of our gripes and griefs, but we must be polite and courteous about it!

The FREEDOM to be POLITE, cost our founders everything!

 

As to speech itself, any speech that is not polite would be impolite. Hate-speech at its least is, impolite. So, any and all speech or any of the rights listed in the first amendment that is NOT polite, is against the law!!!!

Politeness and courtesy would eliminate the burden of the courts, drastically reduce riots, crime, destruction of properties and lives. Speech policies of all businesses, organizations and all manner of people gatherings would become so simple, even a child or a fool could understand them. Chat rooms, social media timelines and pages would suddenly disappear, if they were not polite and courteous. Terrorist recruitment and activity would cease using online social media because, they would all become illegal as, they are not polite.

This is what our founders pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor for, the freedom to be polite, to have the liberty to live life and to pursue happiness. This is what the Constitution and the Bill of Rights was written for, the FREEDOM to be polite!

The executive branch, the legislative branch and the judiciary branch of government do not have these rights, they are but servants to those that do have these rights, us, WE the People.

Everything We Consume is Safe – It’s The Law?

In another one of my WordPress blogs, Dirty Little Secrets , I posted this under a different title, ‘The Dirty Little Secrets of the Pusher.’  Chapter 24.  There it contains added information, which is more appropriate to the intents and purposes of that blog. Both there and here, it is my intentions to include them both, in chapters of two future books in process. Here, it is intended to be included as a chapter of, (Apple of Gold in a Picture of Silver) which is, a sequel to RESET “An UN-alien’s Guide to Resetting Our Republic.” But here, as well as there, ‘The Pusher’ is, one and the same!

The Pusher?

Yes, the pusher. You know, a person or persons that sells illegal drugs.

Well, what does ‘The Pusher’ have to do with, ‘Everything We Consume is Safe – It’s The Law?

 The argument:

WE the People of the world, DEMAND brighter, better tasting, more flavorful, bigger, more rot-resistant, disease-resistant and cheaper – fruits, vegetables and meats! Farmers DEMAND, higher yields! World hunger and world emotional response to starvation, DEMAND all of these things! What is the cost or price paid, for the delivery of these DEMANDS? The simple answer is, are these SAFE?

The burden of proof is upon Monsanto or any such entity that produce GMO’s (genetically modified organisms) or any such supposed or purported food additives or food modifications to ANY AND ALL FOOD distributed in the United States of America. By definition, this would include: from the air – to the water – to the soil – to plants – to animals – to human consumption or use. HAS THE BURDEN OF PROOF BEEN MET?

These things would also apply to Pharmacology and the practice of Medicine. Are not Pharmacological firms which produce “additives” that are ingested, consumed and/or absorbed, chemical companies? Is this not what Monsanto and such as they are, ALL chemical companies? Familiarize yourself with the following: “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS)!

Answer the following question, for yourselves, after doing your due diligence to research this for yourself. You would need to just look on the shelves of ANY grocery store. Is the DEMAND, for natural food supplements and/or” organics” less, the same or ON THE RISE? Once more, familiarize yourself with the following: “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS)!

Leave that question for the time being. Is the DEMAND, for alternatives (“alternative medicine”) to traditional medicine less, the same or ON THE RISE?  Look on the shelves of any grocery store! Familiarize yourself with the following: “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS)!

I ask again, of you or any such chemical company, are these things produced that we consume or use, “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS)? HAS THE BURDEN OF PROOF BEEN MET?

What DEMANDS these burdens to be met? Public law!

What agency of the Federal Government is charged with monitoring, administrating, enforcing and executing this law? The U.S. Food and Drug administration (FDA)!

Has the FDA, is the FDA – DEMANDING this burden of proof to be met? Are they not charged by law to: monitor, administer, enforce and execute the law in which, they are charged by law to do? What law?

The Food Additives Amendment of 1958 is a 1958 amendment to the Food, Drugs, and Cosmetic Act of 1938. It was a response to concerns about the safety of new food additives. The amendment established an exemption from the “food additive” definition and requirements for substances “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS) by scientific experts in the field,

General Premise or Purpose of the Law:

“An Act to protect the public health by amending the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to prohibit the use in food of additives which have not been adequately tested to establish their safety.”

There you have the law, ladies and gentlemen. It is still on the books! It is still active law in, the United States Code (USC)! It has NOT been rescinded, canceled or overturned by any Congress, President or Supreme Court! It’s still the law!

Have the DEMANDS of burden of proof been met? Have the DEMANDS of the FDA been met?

It is a simple enough solution that can be remedied by a pen! All the President of the United States need do RIGHT NOW is, to sign either an executive order or presidential memorandum (either or have the same effect)[1], DEMANDING that the FDA enforce the law that they are already charged to execute! Why has NOT or is this NOT being done?

I have not mentioned other agencies, branches, departments or other entities in and out of Federal, State or Local government, which are involved. The facts are, almost every single one of them are! The term “thick as thieves,” comes to mind. Why is this?

How could our own country, our own countrymen and women do this to us, WE the People? Surely I’m making this all up? Surely we can trust our government, our food and cosmetics, all the things we purchase and use in our homes, for our babies and children and from bathing, to cleaning and etc.?  Are these ALL, NOT DRUGS or CHEMICALS? WAKE UP!

Now I’m not suggesting that any one of us, WE the People “wake up” to embrace the conspiracy minded folks that believe our government is out to get us!!! The truth is, I DON’T KNOW THAT TO BE TRUE! But I do know, whether by intent or just plain ignorance, it is a corrupt system!

From BIG MONEY ADVERTISING to the media, business and Wall Street and BIG MONEY LOBBYING– to Washington, D.C.– to the FDA– to the Farm and to our homes and tables, we have all been bought and paid for and sold, a bill of goods!!!!

In another century, in the old west, this stuff was simply called, ‘Snake Oil’! Today, just because, this ‘snake oil’ has not made us sick or killed us, does not mean it’s still not what it is, ‘snake oil!’ And just because the ‘snake oil’ sellers said it was good for us, and the labels tell us it’s good for us, does not mean, it’s still not – just ‘snake oil.’ And just because the sheriff (FDA) has either turned a blind-eye or have not run these ‘pushers’ out of town, does not mean it’s because, our ‘snake oil’ is safe! Do we really know what’s in it and what is not? And just because there exists some legal ‘mumbo-jumbo’ or “disclaimer,” does NOT mean those responsible are excused from the Burden of Proof or not to be held accountable! They are, they, whomever you are!  These things are NOT our burden to prove, it is the burden that we all bare and that we all share!

Under law, the law has been usurped or laws made to not enforce the laws that are still, laws, on the books! Yes, it is a corrupt system! Those that are bound by oath, have so bound themselves to all these laws, that even if they wanted to, they could not change them!

It is as if, they were like blind hamsters, in a cage, blinding going nowhere and are just spinning an endless wheel, never, ever stopping, always turning and making a mess.

The cage or the room is, as if, it were our country! The wheel is, as if, it is us, WE the People!

In a country of over 300 million people, a president, a few hundred members of Congress, the 12 Supreme Court judges and all those which work for these three branches of government (actually for us), make all the rules, regulations and laws that affect all of us. When did the needs and wants of these few, become greater than the needs and wants of the many – the rest of us, WE the People?

If government has so bound themselves that even they cannot change these things, then the only remedy; the only solution is for us, WE the People to change these things! WE need to RESET!

If you think or believe that I am just trying to frighten you, I have exaggerated, am mistaken or that I am lying about any of this, then prove me wrong and I will cease and desist or just shut-up! If you are too busy or just don’t care to do that, then prove me wrong, for those others that may read this. If you think or believe that everything is Okey-Dokey, Peachy-Keen, Just Fine, OK, Copasetic and Safe, then prove to me I am wrong. If you are still too busy and just don’t care about any of this or me, are you absolutely sure these things are SAFE, for the future of your children?

What is the meaning of this picture? What do the words mean?

In the front, we see an apple of gold with a green leaf. This is indicative of a gold (precious and beautiful, and very valuable) apple. The green leaf means it is a ‘living’ and growing object. There are words within this apple. They are the words from, The Declaration of Independence, in 1776. The apple of gold appears to be three-dimensional and is emphasized by the shadow it casts onto the frame of silver beneath. The apple of gold takes up most of the space of the interior frame, but it also appears to suspend over the space. For it alone is, free and independent. The picture of silver is only a servant and protector.

Beneath this apple of gold there are other words. These are from The Constitution of the United States of America, in 1789. To the left of the apple of gold, the word “WE” is emphasized. It is from the Preamble to The Constitution and the single word “WE” is, suggestive enough that the first three words of The Constitution, “WE the People,’ are filled in by our minds and understood.

The entire image is framed by a frame or a ‘picture of silver.’ Framing enhances; is used to draw attention to and emphasizes the object or the subject that is framed.

From The Declaration of Independence, WE have in our founding writing, a preamble if you will that in part states, its purpose for the writing.

 

“…to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.”

In the second paragraph of the same document, the foundation and source of this entitlement is, set forth.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

The Declaration of Independence is, a legal document which states the just causes of separation from England. It clearly states its logical premise and its logical conclusion. This premise and this conclusion are based on and centers on the truth that all (men, women and children) are, “created equal!” Each are endowed with certain unalienable rights (rights which can NOT be taken, surrendered, forfeited, sold, bartered or given away. Among these certain rights are: Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness!”  This is or WE each are together, the ‘Apple of Gold.’

In 1776, 1789 and even in the King James Version of the Bible in 1611, common language used of those days (sometimes still today) were, “we the king.” This has been used of the present Queen Elizabeth of England as, “We the Queen of England.” The plural pronoun was used, for a single entity, to empathize the power of the station. The king would include, every man, woman and child of the kingdom. In our Constitution, the picture of silver, the words are, “We the people.” This phrase too, emphasizes the power of the station and would include, every man, woman and child.

The “all men” of The Declaration of Independence is, an all-inclusive noun and would include, every man, woman and child. Each and all are, apples of gold, framed by pictures of silver.

The people of a kingdom are bound by compulsion and often, by a sworn oath to obey. We the people are bound together by the creation of our equality and each apple of gold is endowed with, certain unalienable rights. Whereas the people of a kingdom have in common, the royal that binds them, we are bound not by sworn oath, but liberty to choose for ourselves and together, by our unalienable rights. What WE the People, the apple of gold have in common is, not our multiple colors or beliefs or anything other than, such unalienable rights as, Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness! This connection is reflected in the phrase that appears on the Seal of the United States and is stamped on our currency, every dollar and every cent. The words are Latin and are, E pluribus unum, “Out of many, one” or alternatively translated as, “One out of many.” or “One from many!”

It is our unity of purpose, our equality of creation that connects us as family. The same bloodline of liberty flows in each of us. Each of us carry the identical DNA code of, unalienable rights. Each of us are, an apple of gold and together, the Apple of Gold!

But before these universal truths became the law of our land; an accomplished reality and having exhausted every civil and logical means to address their grievances to the king and his agents to no avail, our fore-family resisted by first, civil disobedience, as in the ‘Boston Tea Party.’ After every civil, courteous, and logical means were spent and all having fallen on the figurative deaf ears of the king, our fore-family, the apples of gold then, they legally declared their just causes against the rule of any man, royal or tyrant.

Our fore-family, their commitment and resolve, far exceeded their own efforts to realize for themselves; to hold and to be the accomplished reality of, the apple of gold. Their hope was, that their efforts if never realized for themselves, would one day be a realized and accomplished and a living reality, in their progeny. WE the people are, their progeny! WE the People are, their children! WE the People are, their family! WE the people are, the apple of gold in a picture of silver!

If you look upon the present day with horror and at the terror within our present world that this present is, somehow unique to our day and time, WE the People, need to read or re-read; research the history of our own fore-family. They endured equal if not greater acts of barbarism and acts of less than, animalistic cruelty. They endured rape and pillage and plunder. They endured chemical warfare. They endured drowning, burning by fire, slit throats and scalping and even the visage of some that were beheaded, whose heads were placed on spikes as, trophies of defeat and warnings to fear, the conquerors! It was their hope by which they fought and endured. It was their hope which drove them forward to, hope against all hope. It was their love of liberty and this seemingly impossible thought of defeating, the greatest military and power of the time. It was their hope which drove them forward beyond starvation, lack of resources, sickness, disease, capture and imprisonment and even probable death! It was this slimmest of hope by which they endured, death and destruction by their own mother country (England) and even at the hands of or opposition from, their own friends and families. That hope was, for the living truth of, WE the People, the apple of gold!

The Declaration of Independence was in essence, an affidavit. It was signed unanimously. In a sense, John Hancock, whose signature was visibly larger than the others (as if on purpose) was, like the notary public, since most probably, he was the most recognized signer.  This affidavit, with its “whereas(s)” and concluding “therefore” was, a legal document in that it showed their just cause to the king and to the entire world that the king himself, had broken laws (the Magna Carta) that he had no legal right to do. It showed to the king and to the world, their right to be recognized, to represent themselves in all matters as a sovereign state, to conduct commerce and trade with the world as, free and independent states.

The Declaration was written and delivered to the King. It still fell on deaf ears and was wholly rejected. The Declaration of Independence was again, signed unanimously and each and every signer, pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor, for the vision of independence and the right to self-direct and self-govern.

In the preamble to The Constitution, its first words read, “We the People…” The word “We,” refers back to The Declaration of Independence and again these words: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men (and all women and all children) are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” The “WE” of The Constitution are, the same “WE” of, The Declaration of Independence!

When independence was won, We the People knew then that government is or can be corrupted and is, an evil thing, but that it was a, ‘necessary evil.’ So to protect the rights of individuals, the individual “states” (then 13) unanimously agreed to form a government and this legal document was called formally the, ‘Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union,’ in 1781.

The words, “perpetual union” were stricken from The Constitution and replaced with the words, “…in order to form a more perfect union.” This is a figure of speech because, there can be nothing “more perfect,” than something that is already perfect. The idea of the union of individual states, full of individuals, in a sense or as a concept was perfect, but a “more perfect union” was, just the idea that the union by growth and change could aspire to; become better as, the individual states; individuals, grew and changed. But the Articles of Confederation of the Union Perpetual was, terminated when, The Constitution was ratified and signed and became the “Law of the Land,” in 1789. With the coming of the greater, the lesser terminated. But The Declaration of Independence, the apple of gold is, still connected to this new form of government,  The Constitution, the picture or frame of silver.

Each individual state agreed to and would pattern their own government as a republic just like, The Constitution.

The government and governments of individual states were designed to protect the individual rights (the apples of gold) and limit the government; all state governments from taking and exercising power over the people that they were, NOT, to ever have. This Constitution of limiting government execution, legislation and judicial decisions is, the picture or frame of silver.

The words, “apples of gold in pictures of silver,” come from the Bible.

 

“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.”

“A word fitly spoken by you now would be like ‘apples of gold in pictures of silver.'” Alexander H. Stephens, a former Georgia congressman, wrote these words to Abraham Lincoln on December 30, 1860. He quoted from Proverbs 25:11 to persuade Lincoln that a public statement from the president-elect would help greatly in the mounting crisis of the divided country. A student of the Bible in his own right, Lincoln reflected on Stephens’s biblical reference and, in a note to himself, used the “apples of gold” reference to clarify the connection between America’s constitutional union and the principle of “Liberty to all.”

“When (Abraham) Lincoln was elected the first Republican president of the United States on November 6, 1860, he received no votes from nine southern states; what Lincoln called in 1858 the “crisis” of the American “house divided” had come to a head. On December 22, 1860, the president-elect wrote Stephens, a former Whig ally in Congress, to assuage his fears about the incoming administration:…”

“Stephens, who in February 1861 would be elected Vice President of the Confederate States of America, replied with his December 30 letter, which led Lincoln to jot down what is known as his “Fragment on the Constitution and Union.”

“The assertion of that principle, at that time, was the word, “fitly spoken” which has proved an “apple of gold” to us. The Union, and the Constitution, are the picture of silver, subsequently framed around it. The picture was made, not to conceal, or destroy the apple; but to adorn, and preserve it. The picture was made for the apple — not the apple for the picture.”

Returning once more to The Declaration, we read again the following:

This is, the purpose and reason for, The Declaration of Independence. And this is us, you and I, WE the People that collectively are, this apple of gold, but individually, each of us are an apple of gold, protected by and each with, a picture or frame of silver. This would be what the verse in Proverbs states, “…apples (plural) of gold in pictures (plural) of silver.

To secure the rights of each individual, WE the People (the true power or source of government or the real government) instituted a limited government in The Constitution. This government, this Constitution is, the picture of silver.

As a point of interest, on the Periodic table of the elements, gold is heavier than silver. In dollars and cents, gold costs more than, is more valuable than, silver. You, an apple of gold, carry more weight (greater importance) and are more valuable than, the picture or frame of silver that adorns you!

As a point of comparison, read he following verse from he Bible.

 

“The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.”

Psalm 12:3, King James Version (KJV)

It is my understanding that silver cannot be any more pure than, by being purified seven times. Silver has long been known, for its purifying properties in medicine and science. Numerically, seven (7) in the Bible is, the number of, spiritual perfection. The “Lord” is, the author of those words and His words were pure words as, silver, purified seven times. The words of The Constitution, the picture of silver in comparison are, the pure words of us, you and I, We the people, from The Declaration of Independence, the apple of gold.

In another Psalm of the Bible, the psalmist says –

“Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,”

Psalm 17:8, (KJV)

The apple of the eyes is, the central aperture of the eye.

 

“The phrase apple of my eye refers to something or someone that one cherishes above all others.“

Oxford English Dictionary: Apple (section 6 B) “the particular object of a person’s affection or regard; a greatly cherished person or occas. [sometimes] thing.”

 

This is exactly what We the people of The Declaration of Independence, the apple of gold, ordained and instituted our government, The Constitution, the picture of silver to do, to ever keep us each an apple of gold, in the apple of its eye!

Wings indicate the ability to fly and soar, to preserve and protect us, the apples of gold, to carry us and hide us (protect us) under the shadow of its wings. And this is precisely what We the people, the true and only government, the foundation and purpose of The Declaration of Independence, by which, we ordained and instituted our servant, The Constitution, the picture of silver to do. And this is, to preserve and protect our rights, our liberty and our freedoms!

This institution of, by and for the people is, the purpose and reason, for The Constitution, the picture of silver. And WE the People are, the apple of gold. We, the apple of gold, should ever be, the apple of the eye of The Constitution, the servant-serving government, the picture of silver!

 

“We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

WE the People, ordained and established this Constitution, this picture of silver and WE the People, can alter it or abolish it and institute and ordain new government IF, and WHENEVER, WE so choose!

Some believe that our form of government is wholly unacceptable, for our day and time. They would argue that it was perhaps the best in its day, but its day has long gone. They would say that our form of government is unable to handle the needs of over 300 million people who live here today, without expanding the frame or picture of silver. Some also, argue that our original system of government was, only for men, white men and men that owned property. Many today argue that our original form of government excluded women and children and all other races, religions and ethnic backgrounds, but especially all others of any other socio-economic status, except for those of wealth. They would point towards the miss-treatment of slaves and the native Americans of  this country as well as, others. Under the premise that they are addressing the needs of all, they are actually on behalf of a select few, in practice, trying to rob all of us, of our unalienable rights. Even with good intentions, they have grown the picture or frame of silver, at the expense of the apple of gold. Many of these people are graduates of our finest Universities and Colleges in this country and may themselves purport to be of superior intellect. Many of them hold doctorate degrees. Many are lawyers and judges. Surely all these people know what is best, for the rest of us? In case you missed what I just wrote, let me say here now so there is no misunderstanding – it was with sarcasm!

The whole aim of education is to act. To be able to act, there must be understanding or blind following. The purpose of education is NOT to make blind followers, but to lead out of darkness and into the light; into something better. In order to do this, everyone must understand – every child and even a fool. Education that cannot be presented clearly and simply in order that ALL CAN UNDERSTAND is, not education or what the meaning of being educated is!

But all of them, all of these elite people, the smart-people in charge, work in and around government. Their fortunes and careers, center in or around government. And they tell us that they are aware of many problems and daily put forth their best efforts, we are told, to solve them. This government, this picture of silver has grown of such size that it is, the largest employer in our entire country. But government is, not a for-profit business. It makes nor produces anything. It is merely a service, empowered by, WE the People, the apple of gold.

There is another group of people who also realize that there are many problems today, in our union, our government, the picture of silver that is supposed to be made, for the apple of gold. They call for a re-resurgent call of say, 1970. In a speech by Howard Zinn, he titled his work then, ‘The Problem is Civil Obedience,’ 1970, from the Zinn Reader, Seven Stories Press.

IF the problem is, civil obedience then by sheer logic, the solution would be, civil disobedience. In fact, this is precisely what Zinn proposes in his speech. He even references The Declaration of Independence, as an example of civil disobedience. But this is an error! The Declaration of Independence, the apple of gold was, and still is, a legal document, not a threat or an act of civil disobedience! They were not disobeying the king. The king had disobeyed the laws that he was not supposed to do. His was an act of, uncivilized disobedience! His was an act of war!

Recently, in the 21st century, just two short years ago, the American actor, Matt Damon, seemed to channel Howard Zinn. Matt Damon read excerpts from a speech Howard Zinn gave in 1970, as part of a debate on civil disobedience. Matt Damon and his family were lifelong friends of the Zinns. This performance was part of “The People Speak, Live!” show, featuring Damon, Lupe Fiasco and a cast of Chicago’s finest poets, actors, activists, artists, musicians, and writers. The show took place at the Metro in Chicago, on January 31, 2012, and was produced by Voices of a People’s History (peopleshistory.us) in collaboration with Louder Than a Bomb: The Chicago Youth Poetry Festival (youngchicagoauthors.org).

Others may like to believe and suggest that Martin Luther King and the march on Washington was, an example of civil disobedience. But it was merely a constitutional –

 

“…right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”-

– Bill of Rights, part of the first amendment

 

That March on Washington was NOT a protest, for the government to pass more laws, but for the government to protect the rights of all, that all, already were endowed with! Those rights were written in The Declaration of Independence, The Constitution of the United States and amended in The Constitution, over hundred years before, this march ever took place. They merely marched that the government, their government would enforce the laws they were sworn to uphold, for every citizen, every apple of gold in the picture of silver!

Despite his intellect and education, this is an ignorant opinion, with absolutely no basis for fact or truth. We the people, the apple of gold were created equal and endowed with, certain unalienable rights, not by man (humanity), but by, “the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God!” It was from man’s law, the laws and broken laws of the king (a man) that We the People, sought separation and independence from and ordained and instituted government to preserve and protect and to remain at liberty, separate and independent of the laws of Man (humanity) and man’s (humanity’s) laws! For rights that come from man (humanity), can be taken away from man (human kind), by man (human kind). But our unalienable rights come from, “the Laws of Nature and Natures God!”

Note: Christopher Charles “Chris” Cuomo is a television journalist, currently at CNN. He previously was the ABC News chief law and justice correspondent, and co-anchor for ABC’s 20/20. He is the son of former New York Governor Mario Cuomo and the brother of current New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo.

Arguments for the egregious usurping of “the Laws of Nature and Nature’s God,” are put forward and pressed because, times have changed and definitions have changed. In fact,  unnecessary, almost un-numbered (seemingly without number) and unholy laws (laws unconstitutional or extra-constitutional) and interpretations have, diminished the apple of gold and greatly increased, the picture of silver!

Almost everyone would agree that there are many problems within our government, our picture of silver that is supposed to enhance and protect us, the apple of gold. But each problem seems to have its own nearly innumerable symptoms and there is some temporary band-aid for the nearly, infinite number of symptoms. But the real problem is not that our system of government, the frame or picture of silver is not enough to frame and protect the apple of gold. For centuries now, ever since 1776, government has grown under the idea that is must grow, in order to protect the many more apples of gold of today. To civilly disobey is, not the solution, unless the government de jure (pure law) was never sufficient, even when first written. But that was and are NOT the facts, the case or the truth. The best way I know how to explain the real problem is, by a picture.

In the picture above, the apple of gold and The Declaration of Independence have nearly all, but disappeared. The Constitution (the original picture of silver) has been, overtaken by many, many other laws, rules and regulations, and interpretations by, the judicial system.

The original Constitution has been, overridden by the books you see within the frame. These are individual volumes which make up the many sections of the U.S. Code. All total, these and other laws and rules and regulations have come to, supersede the original Constitution. The apple of gold has not shrunk, the picture of silver has inordinately become, OVERGROWN! It is more like a mutation or a virus. This may be considered as, government de facto. Another legal term, for this monstrosity of a frame or picture of silver, which now dwarfs the almost invisible apple of gold is called, legal fiction. It is legal because, it proceeds from The Constitution (government de jure), but it is fiction (government de facto) because, it does not really exist. It is merely implied and accepted as, this is, just the way it is (government de facto). But this is NOT the way it is! Why and how can I say this? Because, our system of government, our Constitution, our picture of silver may have been altered, but never abolished nor have We the People, the apple of gold, the source and power of government, ever ordained, established or instituted new Government!

Have you ever heard or read, “the forest cannot be seen, for (because of) the trees?” Today, the apple of gold is almost NOT seen, for the largess of, the picture of silver.

Oh, the apple of gold still exists in theory and once in a while in practice, while the picture of silver continues to grow and expand, for itself, thriving at the expense of us, We the People, the apple of gold, in a picture of silver, pure silver. The bulging present frame is neither silver nor pure!

The Declaration of Independence, the apple of gold, the foundation and purpose of our government, has no legal standing in any court of law! The Preamble to The Constitution, the foundation and purpose of our government, the original picture of silver, has no legal standing in any court of law! This is how The Declaration of Independence and our Constitution, has been interpreted by the law, not of the land, but by man. And this is legal fiction!  But in truth, ANY court of law that does not preserve and protect the apple of gold and the picture of silver, has no legal standing, in either The Declaration of Independence or The Constitution of the United States of America!

The real and true problem lies NOT, in The Declaration of Independence, the apple of gold, or the original Constitution, the frame or picture of silver. The problem is clearly and simply, the fault of usurpers and interpreters that have intentionally or not, in contrast to Abraham Lincoln’s work in ‘Fragment on the Constitution and Union,’ the apple of gold has diminished and has been made, for the largeness of, the Picture of Silver!

But both The Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution, provide us with the ONLY remedy. We the People, the apple of gold, need to RESET_but the picture of silver!

To do this, we must know HOW. But before that, we must know WHY. To do that, We must know WHEN, the exact place and time when, the picture of silver, took over the apple of gold. For the future, we must know and understand our present. To know and understand our present, we must know and understand our past that has gotten us to this day and time. And for this, we must start in 1861. That was the exact year when the picture of silver grew and has not ceased from unnaturally growing, ever since!

Yesterday was, the birthday of John Ernst Steinbeck, Jr. (February 27, 1902 – December 20, 1968).

He was an American writer. He is widely known, for the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, The Grapes of Wrath (1939), East of Eden (1952) and the novella Of Mice and Men (1937).

As the author of twenty-seven books, including sixteen novels, six non-fiction books, and five collections of short stories, Steinbeck received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1962.

His most famous work is, The Grapes of Wrath.

If you have not ever read this book, perhaps NOW is the time? It was also made into a black & white film in 1940, staring Henry Fonda.     

It is the story of a poor Midwest family that are forced off of their land. They travel to California, suffering the misfortunes of the homeless in the Great Depression.

The picture above is photographer Dorothea Lange’s ‘Migrant Mother’ who depicts the destitute pea pickers in California. It centers on Florence Owens Thompson, age 32, a mother of seven children, in Nipomo, California, March 1936. Poverty and nearly all hopelessness, has worn and aged her face as if she was a woman much older.

The Grapes of Wrath were written during the times of the Great Depression. It began in the United States after the fall of stock prices around September of 1929. It became worldwide news and its most infamous date, called Black Tuesday, began on October 29, 1929 when the stock market crashed. It affected perhaps the entire world and lasted until the late 1930’s or middle 1940’s. Money and wealth didn’t just vanish, it was transferred!! This is, the true consequence of re-distribution of wealth! Some profited during those times, at the expense of nearly the rest of the world!

What many may not realize is that the book, The Grapes of Wrath, was written during the Great Depression and Steinbeck was affected by it as well. While some of the characters and stories of the book may have been inspired from Steinbeck’s newspaper articles previously, he finished the work at the home of Edward Weston, one of the regular members of the famous Group f/64. These were photographers that included: Ansel Adams, Imogen Cunningham, John Paul Edwards, Sonya Noskowiak, Henry Swift, Willard Van Dyke and Edward Weston.

The term f/64 refers to a small aperture setting on a large format camera, which secures great depth of field, rendering a photograph evenly sharp from foreground to background. This was the ideal setting for ‘straight photography’ rather than relying on special effects. The group were naturalists or purists in the sense of photography’ (light writing) as an art form. They believed photography  should be based on what is, rather than making things up. The group was also struggling during the Depression, but their work captured in pictures, the times! John Steinbeck finished The Grapes of Wrath on property belonging to Edward Weston. Steinbeck came to Weston, basically, living on red beans and red wine.

Steinbeck completed The Grapes of Wrath in October 1938, exactly 100 days after he had begun. The book was published by Viking Press in April 1939. Film script drafts were in the works in 1939 and the movie was released in 1940.

Perhaps Steinbeck chose to live on this diet of beans and wine to relate to his characters lives and to be empathetic to the people of the times? Perhaps he was just driven to finish the work, preferring to write rather than to eat? But he felt the ‘sting’ of the times and fortunate for him, his financials improved AFTER, the book was published and film rights sold, for both ‘Of Mice and Men’ and ‘The Grapes of Wrath,’ in 1939-40. His soul was filling and growing heavy, just like most people of the day, when he wrote it. He had enormous criticism and pressure from others, including the government that vehemently disagreed with his stand on, ‘the way it was.’

If today, this is not the “growing heavy” sentiment of WE the People, perhaps it soon will be? Perhaps as early as April of this year, 2014, WE the People will hear China announce it’s record gold imports from just over the last several years, and that our own Fort Knox and reserves of gold have been systematically exported for decades. We are already bankrupt as a nation, right now! What do you suppose will happen when China announces how much gold it has? Look, there is only so much gold in and on planet earth. We used to have about 50% of all the gold in the world. Could this connection with gold be associated with our status as a world economic superpower after WWII? Now we have no more a gold or silver standard. Paper money is all based on the “faith” and “credit” of the United States. It is a matter of trust. Do WE the People, trust the government? Do we trust it’s fiscal or economic policies? How much is that dollar in your hand, pocket, billfold or purse worth? Only the mere pennies it cost US to print it. What would and could it be worth? Have you ever heard the following: ‘Not worth the paper it’s printed on!’ There is no backing of silver or gold or anything of value. But the gold is in the banks and Fort Knox, right?

The last time Fort Knox was audited was in 1953. It has never been since! It is located in a highly secured area protecting perhaps, NOTHING! With the collapse of the markets and the financial crisis, FDR (a Democrat) presented the ‘New Deal,’ which was supposed to help people right? But did you know the government also, made it illegal to own ANY gold? This stood until president Gerald Ford (a Republican) rescinded that order in 1973. But under president Nixon, earlier (another Republican), there was no more a gold standard. What difference does it make if you can buy gold when there is no value associated with the common tender (paper)? This is NOT a Democrat or a Republican problem, it’s a corrupt financial ‘system!’ And we are being lied to, in plain sight! Look, a lie is a lie, whether intentional or not. When the world finds out where all or most of the gold is, it will be too late!

When most of the people and the media realize what the government has been doing for decades and everyone knows that we don’t have much gold or any, and China announces it’s amount, what do you suppose will happen to our U.S. dollars held in other countries? Perhaps they will no longer trust the faith and credit of the United States and export those dollars back to the U.S.? What happens when there is a whole lot more of valueless money in the US? PRICES FOR EVERYTHING WILL RISE!!!

Can’t happen! Couldn’t happen with the world currency tied to the British pound many years ago, but it did. Couldn’t happen in the 18oo’s when president Grant devalued silver, but it did. Couldn’t happen in those prosperous ‘roaring 20’s either, but it did. 9/11 could never happen here, but it did. Shackles and chains are no longer necessary. You do not need to be of a certain skin color or background to be enslaved. We are all in bondage to trust, not in the “full faith and credit” clause of our Constitution, but the government that has and is corrupting it!!!

What does this mean to other countries? Most people know that many countries have been storing their gold in the U.S. for safekeeping, for many years. Did you know that Germany had on deposit in the U.S. about 2,000 tons? Did you know that they want it back? Did you know that our government has only agreed to give them back only about 300 tons of THEIR GOLD, but only over 7 years? Why do you suppose Germany is given no explanation for this and will accept this? Do you think it possible that our government no longer has their 2000 tons or even their 300 tons? Maybe our government has to buy some gold to pay Germany their gold, their gold that is already supposed to be here?

What does this mean to you and I? Well, if our dollar continues to devalue, because there is nothing of real-value attached to it, other than “trust,” money will cost more to borrow. Businesses need money to pay its employees and etc. If there is little or no money, what happens to the jobs? If businesses aren’t selling, what will this do to the cost of our HDTV’s, iPhones, gadgets and devices, gas for our cars and homes, bread, milk and all the rest of our essentials? Oh surely, welfare checks and social security payments will still be kept by the full faith and credit of the United States?

I do not mean to frighten anyone, but we all should think about what it would be like to live in a depression. How will we live? How will we defend and protect our families? I will say this one thing about guns. Most likely you are on one side or the other about the 2nd Amendment Right to bare arms controversy. There is nothing about using guns for hunting in this amendment! Most of us understand the ‘Four Freedoms’ of the first amendment, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press and the freedom to peaceably assemble to petition the government for a redress of grievances. Who is going to protect those rights, the government? How can a state protect those rights without a militia and the right to bare arms? What few understand is that the third amendment can only be protected if the citizens are armed. The 2nd amendment says nothing about what kinds of arms, how many weapons or how much ammunition. What is to keep the government out of your homes and businesses if you are disarmed or what arms you may hold are regulated and controlled by the government? If you want to win a gun fight, don’t show up with a knife!

Our freedoms are part of our unalienable rights, but they are our responsibility to guard and protect them and secure our future and the futures of our posterity. Our freedoms can only be protected by us, WE the People, not the government. Our entire Constitution was written to protect us from the government, from the dangers of government when good men and women are swayed by power, even though with good intentions. Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Have you ever heard that before? Google it!

Steinbeck lived through and wrote about what happened and is happening in part today. We have this example to help us in the days ahead. Learn to be independent and interdependent. Really have some real face time with your neighbors, they may well someday, save your life! Store some food, some water, grow some food or start something like a ‘victory garden’ with your neighbors. Check in with each other. Help one another. This is how people survived the Great Depression, they were UNITED! Above all else, RESET our Republic.

What WE the People must do is, take back our Constitution and RESET it. It is ours! These are our rights and they are, unalienable. They cannot be taken from us or forfeited by us, unless we allow it. Why the Present Government CANNOT Work, Be Sustained and Continue Much Longer

Well, this title might appear shocking to many. It has been so titled not to shock anyone, but to focus upon the real problem that exists in the United States today and by removing the cause, the symptoms will disappear. The cause is the government. WE the People already are aware of it’s many symptoms. In the title of this work it does NOT say, [Our] “Government,” even though this is what it is supposed to be. Are we not WE the People? We are supposed to be! Are we not the authors of the government? We are supposed to be! We are the power of the government! We have the choice to accept it as it is or WE the People have the power to change it and even disband it and form something new!

Let me begin to illustrate this by something that is familiar to many of us, at least those of us that are happy to have work, a job; some form of employment. We either work in the private sector or the public sector or if you prefer, we work for the government whether locally, statewide or the federal government. By the way, the single largest employer in the whole United States is, the government! So, most of us have a vested interest in this work.

We live in a world of technology that is rapidly increasing as is the speed of information that is available to us. But with all the good that can be achieved and enjoyed by this technology and speed, many of us are miserable and disengaged at work. What is wrong with us? Is it us? Is it the work? Or is it the management system of the work itself?

Government did not form WE the People, we formed it. And we did this after declaring our independence, in the Declaration of Independence, in 1776. This was a simple document of just 1,468 words which among other things, declared,

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men [and women] are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

This is Our WHY! The 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln, alluded to the Declaration of Independence as the, “…Apple of Gold.”

In 1789, The Constitution of the United States was ratified by the several states. This document contains just a little over 4,500 words. It is the document of WE the People that formed the government with limited powers, for the express purpose of protecting and defending the WHY or what is declared in the Declaration of Independence. This document is Our HOW. Abraham Lincoln alluded to the Constitution as the, “…picture of Silver.” And he also said, the picture of silver was made for the Apple of Gold, and not the Apple for the picture. The branches of the government were designed by us, to be co-equal and limited. WE recognize that government is both necessary and a necessary evil. By design, the Constitution of the United States was formed for the antagonistic relationship between it and us, WE the People. It was designed that it protect and defend us against all enemies foreign and domestic and especially from it, against us, its founders, designers, authors and formers!

These two documents (the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution), are our reasons WHY and Our HOW and they are stated with few words and intended to be enacted, very clearly and simply. There are many that would argue that the world and the times in which we live are too complicated for these 200 + year old documents to work today. Well then, let us examine how the government has taken what is clear and simple and co-mingled it with the 300+ million people that try to live here now and the complexities of the world in which we live.

Government tries to act like almost any other big business. How have and how do many businesses operate today? What is the management structure? Business (including government) has operated and most still operate by what is often called: The Two Pillars of Management.

The first pillar is Hard. It deals with structure, systems, processes and metrics. The second pillar is Soft. It deals with  feelings, sentiments, interpersonal relationships, traits and personalities. By their very nature, both the Hard and Soft pillars and their separate parts are all independent of one another. Each separate pillar and every single part will do what they are designed to do. As the business or the government expands, all its parts must expand. It is what they do and it is ALL that they do, under this type of management. When you factor in the complexities and the speed in which change is happening today, the complicatedness and the speed in which all the parts must expand become a mathematical nightmare. And herein is why, people are miserable, disengaged and often uncooperative. The why is very simple because, it’s complicated.

Now many people have come to realize that this management style, the two pillars, are obsolete. THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN OBSOLETE!

There is some new thinking with many people and this is slowly being applied by some businesses, but certainly not all of them and most certainly not the government. But this new thinking is not new at all. It’s old. And it can be found in our founding documents, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.

In a recent TED talk, (http://goo.gl/E8GTGM), Yves Morieux, a senior partner and managing director of the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), presented what he calls: ‘Six Simple Rules For Smart Simplicity.’ Mr. Morieux –

He is an expert in corporate transformation and leads the firm’s development of approaches to help corporations create the structural and behavioral groundwork for competitive advantage.”

 Mr. Morieux gave his six principles as follows:

1. Understand what people do

2. Increase total quantity of power

3. Increase reciprocity

4. Reinforce integrators

5. Extend the shadow of the future

6. Reward cooperation

“It changes everything, by removing the buffers that make us self-sufficient. When you remove these buffers, you hold me by the nose, I hold you by the ear. We will cooperate. You need to reward those who will cooperate and blame those who don’t cooperate. The C.E.O. of the Lego Group, Jorgen Vig Knudstorp, has a great way to use it. He says blame is not for failure, on my real weaknesses, but if I fail to help or ask for help. I will cooperate because I know I will not be blamed if I fail, but if I fail to help or ask for help. When you do this, it has a lot of implications on organizational design. You stop drawing boxes, dotted lines, full lines; you look at their interplay. It has a lot of implications on financial policies that we use. On human resource management practice. When you do that, you can manage complexity, the new complexity of business, without getting complicated. You create more value with lower cost. You simultaneously improve performance and satisfaction at work because you have removed the common root cause that hinders both complicatedness. This is your battle business leaders. The real battle is not against competitors. This is rubbish, very abstract. When do we meet competitors to fight them? The real battle is against ourselves, against our bureaucracy, our complicatedness.”

With all due respect to Mr. Morieux, these principles are NOT new. They can all be found in our founding documents, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution!

The first principle of ‘knowing what people do,’ is found in the Bible and in the ancient Greek saying, “Know thyself,” and their whole culture of mentoring. It has been a practice of Japanese businesses for quite some time. One does not become the C.E.O. of a business there without first having come up through the ranks. Where do you suppose they got this idea? Well, this is how it used to be done in this country. Apprenticeships and internships were what we used to do here. It used to be our common practice. We were succeeded or replaced due to retirement, death or other reasons by those we knew and that were groomed from within for this very purpose, for continued success. We did not go outside of our businesses, communities, schools, churches and other organizations to find replacements or for new positions. We grew from within by those we knew and trained. The whole government was intended to be “of the people, for the people and by the people.” The whole operation of government was formed by WE the People. Who are WE the People? WE the People are the ones that,

WE the People unanimously ratified the Constitution. Out from among us were to be those willing to serve that have sworn by an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of us, WE the People. Our public servants are to come out from among us. They are to represent us. How can this be possible, if they do not know us? It is not possible. Our three separate branches of government were designed to limit their power, but to also be co-equal, and yet each wholly accountable to the Constitution of which they have sworn an oath to keep. Everyone is supposed to know their jobs and the jobs of others. We are to know each other. No one is better than another. WE are all equal.

Co-equality is supposed to, ‘increase the total quantity of power,’ not each branch acting independently of the others and vying for dominance. The term, ‘serving at the pleasure of the president,’ is understood to mean that anyone that works directly for the president may also, be released by the president at the president’s pleasure. But this is false. Anyone that works in the government serves at the pleasure of, WE the People.

The three branches of government are designed to ‘increase reciprocity.’ Being co-equal, they are to share and share alike, for us, WE the People. We the People designed this government to ‘increase the integrators,’ not the me-myself-and-i(s), the instigators, inciters, blamer(s) and dividers.

The extension of ‘the shadow of the future,’ was written into our Constitution. The Constitution may simply be called, our document of limits, the rule of limits  or the law of the limits of the land. It was never intended that anyone ever make government their career choice or a lifetime occupation. It was intended as a honor to serve for a limited time, leave office and live with either the results or the consequences of your service.

‘Cooperation’ among the three branches is intended to be ‘rewarded.’ Failure is not attributed to one, two or all three failing, but because of their failure to help each other or to ask one another for help.

Our founding documents were designed to be and are, SIMPLE!

Remember, the Declaration of Independence has 1,468 words and takes about 10 minutes to read.

The Constitution has 4,543 words, including the signatures and takes about half an hour to read.

Another document, the Bill of Rights, has 462 words. To those who value life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, they are some of the most important words in the English language–words that approach sacredness and constitute the only remaining barrier against an ever-encroaching government. These 462 words make up the first 10 amendments to the United States Constitution.

Our original founders had vision. And what they saw was BIG! Proof of this was to us, WE the People, that they “pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor.” And they also, kept it simple.

But what we have seen for over 200 years is, as the population has grown, government has expanded. It always expands. As it expands, it becomes more and more complex and increasingly more complicated. By following the same old obsolete management system of increasing the separate and independent parts, it seems to perpetually continue with MORE structure, systems, processes, metrics, feelings, sentiments, interpersonal relationships, traits and personalities. This is NOT the intended purpose of the United States of America! This is a divided, WE the People.

Just one example of this complexity can be seen in the Affordable Care Act. It alone contains 381,517 words in the law itself. Add to this, 11,588,500 words of final regulations and you have a single document that is over 11,000 pages, stacks about 3 feet tall and very few have ever read it including, most of those that voted for it! And this fact alone is precisely – Why the Present Government CANNOT Work, Be Sustained and Continue Much Longer! Think about this and you will come up with many others reasons, why this is so.

Poll after poll, surveys, interviews, posts, emails, blogs, public discourse, the media and our attitudes towards one another, tell us, WE the People are divided. If we are divided, it is not due to some old documents written centuries ago that has failed and is failing to keep pace with the technology, the times in which we live, the bulging at the seams of our population or the speed of information, complexity and change! If w  e are divided, it is because of, the government, its agents, and propagandists. ANY measure of life, liberty or the pursuit of any happiness we may, but barely able to touch is, because of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, BECAUSE when WE the People designed and formed  “a more perfect union,” WE the PEOPLE WERE UNITED!!!

But, fear not, let not your hearts be troubled. This could turn in our favor. WE the People could become united and simplicity could return and we all could again, being equal,  enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of whatever makes us happy! Oh, you might think and believe, I’m writing here nothing but a dream? It could never happen (again)? It did and it can! We still are, WE the People!!!!

I will close with a new version of an acrostic (each letter represents a word), similar to one you may recall. Remember S.I.B.K.I.S.S.? Well, I’m going to change the words and meaning a bit to – S.I.B.K.I.S.S. = See It Big Keep It Simply Simple!  🙂

Congress of the United States
begun and held at the City of New-York, on
Wednesday the fourth of March, one thousand seven hundred and eighty nine.

THE Conventions of a number of the States, having at the time of their adopting the Constitution, expressed a desire, in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers, that further declaratory and restrictive clauses should be added: And as extending the ground of public confidence in the Government, will best ensure the beneficent ends of its institution.

RESOLVED by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assembled, two thirds of both Houses concurring, that the following Articles be proposed to the Legislatures of the several States, as amendments to the Constitution of the United States, all, or any of which Articles, when ratified by three fourths of the said Legislatures, to be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of the said Constitution; viz.

ARTICLES in addition to, and Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America, proposed by Congress, and ratified by the Legislatures of the several States, pursuant to the fifth Article of the original Constitution.

Note: The following text is a transcription of the first ten amendments to the Constitution in their original form. These amendments were ratified December 15, 1791, and form what is known as the “Bill of Rights.”

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Amendment II

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Amendment III

No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

Amendment IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Amendment V

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

Amendment VI

In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense.

Amendment VII

In Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.

Amendment VIII

Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

Amendment IX

The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

Amendment X

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

For well over two years now I have been trying to get a book out. Originally it was titled: PURPLE HAZE “An UN-alien’s Guide to Finding Our Republic. The book was finished with around 481 pages. It was not published. It needed work, a lot of work to be precise.

For one thing the title and subtitle were all wrong. The artwork for the cover was all wrong. What follows is a sample image of the former cover.

 Although Purple Haze is certainly a two word description of what many people think about our country right now, I certainly would not want to stay in a haze or a purple haze. Would you? Do you?

The idea for the title was that if you take the red, white and blue of Our flag or Republic and mix it all together, mess it all up, you end up with purple, or a purple haze. Descriptive yes, but it just does not communicate visually what this book is about.

The same thing would be true about the words “Finding our Republic.” I n order to find something, I suppose we needed to know it was lost. Most of US either don’t know there’s something wrong in Our Republic or WE don’t know what the true cause is. “True Cause,” could there be such a thing? Yes.

So a new title was needed. It needed to be more descriptive and more positive. Sure, describe the symptoms, but where is the cause? Eliminate the cause and the symptoms will disappear!

In the new book, I’ve trimmed by almost a hundred pages of needless repetition. But there is even a whole lot that is new. It is more targeted. The premises and the conclusions are really tight. Perhaps this entire book could be considered as an historical narrative, with analogies, current events, facts, fiction and non-fiction all thrown in together.

Having now completed the writing and my own personal edit, I just finished reading it from start to finish. It reads a lot better. It was written for the reader in mind. Is it interesting? Does it hold the attention. Is there humor? Is it factual and can it be proven? Can people relate to this in their every-day lives? Can I relate to it? Would I have read this book if you wrote it? And the biggest question of all, will its “prescription” (solution) really work? If it is even possible for me to be objective about my own work, my answer to all the questions is YES! You will just have to read it for yourself to see if you agree.

But the new title is:

RESETAn UN-alien’s Guide to Resetting Our Republic

The title itself shows what this book is about. The word “Our” shows who this book is for. It is for you and me. It is for US, WE the People.

Today: Mind Control

Mind Control? OH my, is this about drugs or some group manipulating OUR thoughts? Rest assured, neither of those ‘extreme’ measures are the purpose of this post. But every voluntary action taken is preceded by thought. If the thought or thoughts are askew, the actions taken will produce consequences. Like garbage in = garbage out. It does not matter if this manipulation is intentional or errors left undetected and uncorrected, the outcome will still end with consequences.

Last time, WE saw that WE the People are precariously in the middle of two different, but similar forces. From one hand, without realizing that it is OUR differences that keep US divided, it is as if WE had taken some blue mindset altering or maintenance pill. From the other hand, without realizing that it is a corrupt “system” that always seeks power and control, it is as if, WE had taken some red mindset altering or maintenance pill. The all pervading effects of each, act as if WE had taken both the blue and the red pill. This mix of colors makes purple. The effects of which, keep US in a Purple Haze, where WE hardly recognize ourselves or OUR republic anymore. But WE have a choice. WE have the power to end this confusion and mindset and restore OUR republic, OUR balance and OUR control over the security of OUR unalienable rights and those of OUR posterity.

Have WE ever heard or read something similar to the following?

In OUR failure to recognize what divides US, or the corrupt “system” that always seeks power and control over US, WE by default, allow both to continue. Have WE ever heard or read “knowledge is power?” This is only true in that this power, is only potential power. If WE the people, being informed; empowered by this knowledge do not act upon this knowledge, WE by default, allow the division and the corrupt “system” to continue.

Hegel is known for the theorem:

‘Thesis, antithesis and synthesis.’

Another way to see this is:

And yet another is:

Crisis – Fear – Rescue (but ends with a loss of Liberty)

This theorem may be simply known as, the ‘Hegelian dialectic.’

In 1847, the London Communist League (Karl Marx and Frederick Engels) used Hegel’s theory (Hegelian dialectic) to back up their economic theory of communism. In the 21st century, this thinking affects our entire social and political structure. This theory is a framework for guiding thoughts and actions into conflicts that lead to a predetermined solution. Simply seen:

Have a crisis, produce a crisis or make US think WE have a crisis + the government comes to the rescue = solution.

Intentionally or not, if WE the People do not recognize how the Hegelian dialectic drives OUR country, OUR republic and OUR lives, WE by default, allow this “system” to continue.

Hegel’s theorem as applied in OUR country is based on the thesis – the state (OUR government) encounters some conflict, some crisis. The antithesis is the reaction of fear that unless  – the state (OUR government) can solve the crisis, there will be consequences. The synthesis is that if WE the People encountering the crisis and react with fear to it, WE exercise OUR freedom of will to the state (OUR government) to relive US of OUR fears. In so doing, each time the state attempts to solve the crisis, WE the People relinquish more and more of OUR control to it.

As per this theorem, all conflicts of interest are controlled within the state. And remember, according to Hegel, the “state is God’s march through the world.”  Let’s look at an example of Hegelian dialectic in a situation most of US are all too familiar with.

There is a campaign in progress. WE the People are pretty close on the issues. There are two candidates and WE are equally divided on the candidate WE think has the best qualifications. For whatever reasons, let’s say candidate A. is quite certain they cannot win strictly on the issues alone. So candidate A. digs up dirt on candidate B. Candidate B. responds in kind and releases dirt on candidate A. The worse the dirt is and the scarier either candidate appears to US, the further away from each other WE become. In the political spectrum, WE call these positions either ‘far-left’ or ‘far-right.’  In the final outcome, candidate A. wins the election in numbers of votes, not cast for their position on the issues, but by votes cast against the other candidate and that their candidacy would save US from the other. So the process ends by all OUR votes merging as a single entity.

The debate is framed and controlled by candidate A. that wins the election not on the issues, but by convincing both sides that voting for their candidacy would avert the crisis (perceived or real) that candidate B. would cause if elected. WE call these ‘smear campaigns’ and have seen this type of behavior, time and time again. What is the common reaction heard to this? Oh, “it’s just politics,” is commonly something WE hear. WE complain about it, dismiss it, but it does not seem to go away, why? Why, because it is allowed to continue.

Another example of Hegelian dialectic would be, using the same election, is to get some to consider wild accusations and think, maybe they’re true. On the other side, if you can get people to not care because of the negative campaign, they become less likely to vote for candidate B. and not vote at all, which helps candidate A. They are also, more likely to vote for candidate A. if they are promised something they care about; not offered by candidate B. Look at this purely from the standpoint of finances.

Candidate A. has lots of money to spend and candidate B. does not. Candidate A. becomes a ‘darling’ to business and the media, now benefiting from the infusion of cash. Question: Are you more or less likely to favor candidate A. if you are being paid to cover their campaign? People siding with Candidate B. might perceive this as Candidate A. ‘trying to buy the election.’ But their reaction to this could very easily be manipulated by the fear of loss. They do not want to vote for a loser and vote for candidate A. perceived as a winner. With more money to spend than candidate B., candidate A. can spend more money on making promises, specifically to those that don’t care. Even apathy is fear.

In all the examples above, a crisis is perceived and instead of reason applied to voting, fear is the factor and the election is won by candidate A. not on the issues, but by being perceived as the only solution to the crisis. Now take all the same examples and apply the Hegelian dialectic, to the dominating two-party political “system” in OUR country.

Look at every advertisement; every marketing strategy, for nearly every single product or service sold through every vehicle possible. Look at them with new eyes. Are most of these not directed at some fear and the desire to not have the fear and then those offering the product or service come to the rescue as the only solution?

Now it’s one thing for a writer of fiction to develop plots involving heroes and villains; heroines and villainesses and lead the reader to a preconceived conclusion, but this is real life WE are discussing here.

This next image might be somewhat familiar to most of US, but also strangely unfamiliar at the same time. Four wise monkeys, but I thought there were only three?

Speak no evil  –   See no evil  –   Hear no evil  –   Do no evil

The three wise monkeys (Japanese: san’en or sanzaru, or sanbiki no saru, literally “three monkeys”) are a pictorial maxim (saying). Together they express the idea to: “Speak no evil, see no evil and to hear no evil.” But quite often there is a fourth monkey, usually not seen in western culture. Shizaru, symbolizes the principle of “do no evil“. This monkey may be shown covering its abdomen or genital area, or crossing its arms.

Note: Both chimpanzees and monkeys are primates, though monkeys are less closely related to people. The main obvious difference between the two is that monkeys have tails and chimps do not. Monkeys  are structurally closer to four-legged animals like cats and dogs, while chimpanzees and other apes are more similar to human beings, both structurally and in terms of their level of intelligence and behavior. Sorry if I offended any monkeys, chimpanzees or apes. I liked the picture of the chimps better than others found with monkeys. But the story, the pictorial maxim (saying) is about monkeys.    🙂

Perhaps the comparison to monkeys and OUR lives is a little simplistic, but still a great way to live. But what if there is uncertainty or confusion over what is evil that WE should not speak, see, hear or do?

Thomas Jefferson was very keen on education so that OUR decisions are ruled by reason and not by fear. A 1700’s solution is still appropriate for today.

The same four little monkeys (chimps) above, could they not be manipulated by fear to not speak, see, hear or do that which is right? And could these same four little monkeys (chimps) be manipulated to speak of darkness and call it light; see evil and perceive it as goodness; hear evil and internalize it as righteousness, and do that which is wrong and rationalize it as right and justified?

Does this smack of conspiracy or smell like Orwellian fiction coming true?

From the book, ‘The ideological origins of the American Revolution,’ by Bernard Bailyn the following is found.

Here is the father of OUR country in 1774, using the word “systematic,” the root being, “system.” Did he believe in or was he suggesting some conspiracy theory?

Thomas Jefferson wrote:

“Single acts of tyranny may be ascribed to the accidental opinion of a day; but a series of oppressions, begun at a distinguished period and pursued unalterably through every change of ministers, too plainly prove a deliberate, systematic plan of reducing [a people] to slavery.”

Here again, Jefferson uses the word “systematic” and the root of course, again, is “system.” Did he believe in or was he suggesting a conspiracy theory? “Conspiracy,” “deliberate” and “systematic” words aside, is not a reconciliation of the above quotes by Washington and Jefferson possible?  Did either have access to any such written conspiracy? It matters not if there was such a plan existing, actions taken were still “systematic” and “deliberate.” Errors that occurred in the past, neither detected nor corrected and therefore continuing in the present is still a “system,” a mindset. Yes, it is a “system.” Yes, it is a mindset allowed to continue, by failing first to detect it and then failing to correct it.

To take, hold and keep power is seductive. With power comes what I call the “trappings of power.” It is like the flame that draws the moth or a baited ‘trap.’ Fear of loss of power often brings the reaction of fire, the claws of a predator or the venom in the fangs of a snake. It will defend itself. It will justify itself. It will always seize more power, if left to its own devices.

In our present-day, it is illegal for you and me to have a poker game, to play for money, in the privacy of OUR own homes. But it’s OK if the state sanctions it as lotto or racetracks etc. because it is all for some good cause? It’s OK to go to Las Vegas, visit a casino or if you take risks at the stock market on Wall Street? Extortion is illegal, but high interest like what a ‘loan shark’ might ‘shake down’ people for, is perfectly legal for a bank to charge? Bribery – the offering and  acceptance of a bribe are illegal, but lobbying and accepting campaign contributions is not only legal, but perfectly acceptable? Perjury or lying under oath is a crime, but little ‘white lies,’ ‘spin,’ and depending on “what is, is,” is OK?

Conspiracies and conspiracy theories, what do they do; what do they accomplish, even if true? There have been many such theories in our lifetimes of the 20th Century and even today. Was it known by OUR government in advance, of  the attack on Pearl Harbor December 7th, 1942? What about the JFK conspiracies and the assassination of President John F. Kennedy? Another theory suggests that no one has ever landed on the moon? Then there is the theory that our own government planned the attack on the ‘Twin Towers,’ September 11th, 2001? There is the New World Order Conspiracy? The list goes on and on. There are two things for certain that all these theories do, whether or not they are true. These conspiracy theories promote fear and influence the casting of blame. What good does fear do or what does blaming others accomplish? Intentional or not, fear and blame are still the by-products of a corrupt “system;” a mindset of that’s the way it is; that’s the way it is done. Do WE not see that this is a corrupt “system;” a mindset?

Question everything and everyone with boldness said Jefferson. WE must research and re-search OUR research again. Then WE must research and re-search until WE are sufficiently educated and well informed. Then WE will see how every time in OUR history that some of OUR liberty has been taken, it is always preceded by some real or perceived crisis. Then the government has been perceived as the only entity to solve OUR problems and allay OUR fears. The price for this service is to charge US dearly for the privilege of taking OUR liberty and to keep US dependent! None have such a right to take what can neither be taken nor forfeited!

For OUR purposes here, it does not matter if this all were some purposed Grand Scheme, an intentional conspiracy with a real person, persons, party or international consortium to blame. It does not matter that it is a corrupt, corrupting and corruptible “system,” that has evolved from errors in the past that have not been detected and therefore, have never been corrected. Why does neither of these matter? Because the consequences would still be the same and they are the same! The beginning was still in 1861! The solution is still in OUR hands!

Next time WE will go through some (not all), of the events since 1861, from the perspective of crises and how laws and even amendments to OUR Constitution ended with more and more of OUR liberty being seized. Am I suggesting the Hegelian dialectic is present in OUR republic? Yes!
