If pure law was made to protect the law-abiding (and it was) and not the lawless (and it wasn’t), why does it seem that the law-abiding are punished (and they often are) and the lawless get off FREE, (and they often do)? What is the problem? Is it the law or is it the lawyers? You can answer that for yourself.

But whether you intend to break the law (have criminal intent) or just break it because you are ignorant, unknowing or just incompetent, does this mean there should be little or no consequence? And please do not use the Bill Clinton (lawyer) response, “That it depends on what is, is.”

Dotting all the i’s and crossing all the t’s might be useful (but not necessarily, necessary to understand, in writing sentences and reading them, but it appears to be absolutely necessary; a requirement in legal terms, as is punctuation, capital letters or not, certain words, keywords, and all kinds of extraneous and a superfluity of bullshite loopholes. Lawyers make these legal terms or direct them.

I can certainly understand that punishment for ‘intent’ would be greater than the punishment, for just breaking the law, but because ‘intent’ has not been proven beyond a reasonable doubt, does not or should not mean that no charges are filed, there should not be a jury, or a grand jury, or judge only, should NOT hear the case, try the case and judge that consequences of breaking the law applies, convict if proven guilty and mete out a just punishment, swiftly!!!!

“Justice delayed is justice denied”

The quote above is a legal maxim— an established principle or proposition. Just like lawyers, and congress and government in general can’t agree on much of anything, no one seems to agree on where this quote came from either.

The Magna Carta of 1215, clause 40 reads, “To no one will we sell, to no one will we refuse or delay, right or justice.”

Martin Luther King, Jr., used the phrase in the form, “Justice too long delayed is justice denied,” in his “Letter from Birmingham Jail”, smuggled out of jail in 1963, ascribing it to a “distinguished jurist of yesteryear”.

Chief Justice of the United States, Warren E. Burger noted in an address to the American Bar Association in 1970:

“A sense of confidence in the courts is essential to maintain the fabric of ordered liberty for a free people and three things could destroy that confidence and do incalculable damage to society: that people come to believe that inefficiency and delay will drain even a just judgment of its value; that people who have long been exploited in the smaller transactions of daily life come to believe that courts cannot vindicate their legal rights from fraud and over-reaching; that people come to believe the law – in the larger sense – cannot fulfill its primary function to protect them and their families in their homes, at their work, and on the public streets.

The courts are made up of judges and judges are first, lawyers. Lawyers graduate from law schools. Law schools are supposed to teach law and many of the professors may be lawyers or former lawyers that also, graduated from some law school. Sometimes, presidents are lawyers or have a law background. Congress has many former lawyers. The supreme court judges are all, first and foremost, lawyers. The entire government is riddled with lawyers.

Our biggest problem is not with the law per se, it is with the lawyers or the executives, legislators and the judiciary that make the laws, enforce or not enforce them and are more prone to NOT seek justice, but to win their cases, make their arguments, profit from them, protect themselves and their profession; their intuitions of law, and rather than protecting the innocent, they protect the lawless. Loopholes and interpretations, legislating from the bench and not whether one is guilty or not, but what can be proved is, their training and their focus.

No matter what side you may be on with the latest FBI conclusion that no criminal charges against the former Secretary of State and presumptive Democrat nominee for president of the United States, Hilary Clinton, with her mishandling of classified material and the Justice Department accepting that recommendation and no criminal charges will be filed, it’s not the law which is troubling, but the lawyers that wrote, write, interpret, defend or prosecute them, apparently at their discretion and their benefit.

If this is purely political theater (as was said by those who seek to keep this matter going), the Republican Party response seems to go to yet another law and associate it with what the FBI and the Justice Department views as, a closed case. And what law is that? Did the former secretary lie to congress, but not the FBI? But the FBI did not include that testimony in their “comprehensive” investigation. When asked why not, the Director of the FBI said that Congress had not sent them a formal request. To this the person asking said, “You will have one shortly!” So, if this continues, it could only end in a charge or charges of perjury. But perjury will be difficult to prove. The entire matter is laden with corruption and perversion. If the “careless” mishandling of classified material were not concerning on its own, as it is, the lawyers or lawyer-directed legalese that have corrupted and perverted the intent of the law, the law of the land— which is, to protect US, WE the People, from the lawless and punish  the lawless, to me is even more egregious an a threat to national security!

I will give you an example of this corruption and perversion from my own state of New York and my own personal experience.

About a year ago, I was pulled over on the ramp of an entrance to a highway. It was an obvious traffic stop, looking for drunk drivers or to see if people were wearing their seat-belts, I supposed. This was, seat-belt related. After I stopped, an officer approached me and gave me a ticket, as he was told to do, by his supervisor. His supervisor said, that he saw me NOT wearing a seatbelt and to ticket me. Now of course, I would, as most people charged with anything would say, “I’m innocent.” And it does not matter if I really was or not, as you will shortly understand. But I had two choices. I could pay whatever fine was required by my state and county and etc. or try to fight it in court. I decided to go to court.

On my court date, I was given two more choices. I was to either plead guilty and pay whatever the judge said or I could have a trial. Ooops, and I thought I was at trial and the officer would be there? Nope.

OK, I wasn’t there because I was guilty, but before I said I wasn’t, I asked the judge a question, which he allowed. “If I come to trial and plead innocent and win, will they drop all charges and any costs to me, except for my time wasted in coming to court twice? Well the judge informed me that there are no court costs, but there is an administrative fee, which I would have to pay, one way or another. Sure, label that jar of peas, peanut butter, but it’s still peas! Costs or fees, it’s still monies. That’s legalese and PC (political correctness) all rolled into one lump court cost that’s not?

So, let me see if I have this straight? Plead guilty to something I did not do. Pay whatever fine the judge decides. Points are deducted from my license. Enter a plea of guilty that become public record. My insurance most likely will go up. AND I still have to pay the (about) $100, the administrative fee? Yes. And if I go to trial and lose, I may have to pay a larger fine and the $100 administrative fee? Yes. Oh, and one more thing. The police can give me a ticket, even if they know I’ve done nothing wrong because, one way or another, I’m going to have to pay that $100! Is this messed up or what? Does this sound like extortion, racketeering and collusion to you? Is it the law or the lawyers that wrote it or directed it? Well, my prosecution rests! 🙂

WE the People, should ALL file a class action suit against the law profession?! WE the People should just sue the legal profession, sue the hell out of them! But who would do it for US? Who could WE get to represent US?????

Another maxim—

“He who represents himself has a fool for a client.”

A supposed quote by Abraham Lincoln?

This proverb is based on the opinion, probably first expressed by a lawyer, that self-representation in court is likely to end badly. As with many proverbs, it is difficult to determine a precise origin, but this expression first began appearing in print in the early 19th century. An early example comes in ‘The flowers of Wit’, or a choice collection of bon mots, by Henry Kett, 1814:

…observed the eminent lawyer, “I hesitate not to pronounce, that every man who is his own lawyer, has a fool for a client.

In the play, King Lear, by William Shakespeare, In Act I, Sc. 4, the king’s fool makes a lengthy rhyming speech, containing a great many trite, but useful moral maxims, such as:

Have more than thou showest,
Speak less than thou knowest, &c.,

The king found that testy and flat and tiresome.

Lear. This is nothing, fool.
Fool. Then, ‘tis like the breath of an unfeed lawyer: you gave me nothing for it.

Representing oneself in Latin is, acting pro se, which means, for oneself.

If WE could find among US, a lawyer(s) that could and would represent US, would they be a fool, in representing themselves as well? And their profession might think them a fool, if they dare go against them? Are WE then just shite (old English term, you figure out its current meaning) out of luck? Are WE, without representation? Are WE, without a prayer? Are WE, up a creek without a paddle? NO!

WE the People have two, to represent us— The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America. One these two documents, all the law and all the laws of the United States are supposed to be based on. The legal profession does NOT view them like that!

Regardless of what the courts might rule, the Declaration of Independence is not some past historical writing of its time and just some relic to be archived in a museum. I was then and remains a legal document, an affidavit  of fact and conclusions. In logic, it presents its factual premises (whereas) and its conclusions (therefore). It is the the foundation of Our Republic. It is Our raison d’être (reason to be). It is (WE are), The Apple of Gold in a picture of silver. It is Our Constitution which is the picture of silver, made of , by, and for WE the People, to protect, defend and preserve for ourselves and our  posterity, Our unalienable rights! The picture was made to serve US, WE the Apple of Gold, and NOT US, for the picture of silver!

Regardless of what any court might rule, the preamble to Our Constitution and the entirety of Our Constitution is relevant, essential and inseparable to the Declaration of Independence and to US, WE the People, the Apple of Gold! WE the people do have standing, and state, and original jurisdiction, to bring this case before them! It is valid only when insisted upon by a belligerent claimant in person.”

McAlister vs. Henkle, 201 U. S. 90, 26 S.Ct. 385, 50 L. Ed. 671; Commonwealth vs. Shaw, 4 Cush. 594, 50 Am. Dec. 813; Orum vs. State, 38 Ohio App. 171, 175 N.E. 876.

Here again we find a federal court judge using both the words “privilege” and “rights.” From the context, this is referring to the 5th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Did you ever think that a judge would make such a ruling?”

“OUR privileges and inalienable rights could be taken or transferred, but if you or I want OUR unalienable rights protected, WE have to fight for them and become “belligerent.” WE out of necessity, to protect OUR rights, must stand in contempt of court. Words have meaning and they carry results or consequences.”

Here in the ruling is, but one example of division, or separation and in essence, an adversarial relationship.”

Just imagine, just suppose we were able to actually get a court to hear this case. What do you think their decision would be? Yes, for themselves, the defendants! OK, so what if we get it appealed, all the way to the United States Supreme Court? What would be their decision? Would they allow US, WE the People, to RESET our Republic or rule in their favor, to keep their jobs appointed for life? Most likely to keep their job, but for US? Probably— NOT!!!!

Let’s sue the Legal Profession? Let’s bring a class action suit against the legal profession? Let US, WE the People, sue the legal profession, sue the hell out of them? Probably NOT!

Do you know why Lady Justice is blindfolded? Well, I used to believe she could see, but she blindfolded herself on purpose or purposefully, for equality; for equal justice. Now, I’m really starting to think the legal profession poked her eyes out so, she would not know the scales were being tipped (imbalanced) and the whole legal profession rigged the system, for their exclusive benefit!

Dear reader, I write this NOT to convince anyone or persuade anyone of anything. I write it ONLY because, I care. I care about you! As Eye See it, the United States of America is at a crossroads of unknown challenges or consequences, IF we fail to get this one shot right! If WE the People fail to act, this may be our last opportunity? The time for uniting is far past. We are divided. We are upon a precipice. The past is rapidly disappearing behind US. The time for going back is no more. We must leap to something unknown. I dare you to continue below!

There are those that do not care; have never cared; will never care, but rather take pleasure in gutting this whole republic and seeing it burn down in flames! And those enemies are not only from without, they are among US, not a people supplanted or brought here, but our own. I dare you to continue below!

For many, with anger and fear, they find themselves upon unfamiliar ground to have to leap, to believe and trust in something they cannot see, hear, smell, taste or touch. But leap WE all must! I dare you to continue below!

But this is not yet, the time of despair, for as long as life beats within our chest and breath still fills our lungs, we are alive. As long as WE still have our Constitution, we have hope. HOPE, slim as it might be, but there is still hope. There is always hope, for some of us, if not all of us. I would like it to be, all of us! What is reflected in OUR eyes; in your eyes? What is in the apple of your eye and mine? What is the core or in the depth of your being and mine? I dare you to continue below!

Do we not understand that even if we may be upon the right track, we can be run over, if we just stand there? Do we not understand that truth, the precious healing power of truth, can hurt if unheeded? Remember our quote of childhood, “sticks and stones can break our bones, but words can never hurt us?” Do we still teach this lie to our children? Have we ever recovered from broken bones? Can we EVER recover from the toxic words that can disintegrate our bones, break our hearts and cast us into the abyss of, as if we were, never known; have never lived, and will be remembered no more? Our times are nothing new, but where we go from here, will be, to us and future generations, determined by, what we now do. But our times remind me of something I’ve read, long ago that was written far, far longer ago— “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair…” These are the opening words of chapter 1, ‘A Tale of Two Cities,’ by Charles Dickens in 1859. Dear reader, I dare you, to continue reading below.

This book was written about two cities, two main characters and two contrasts (possible outcomes or destinies) during the times of, the French Revolution. This is not unlike our times. Today, our choices reside in two dominant political parties, two ideas, two main characters and two possible outcomes. We are divided and this division between us is predominantly, fear and anger. Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

The Democratic-Republican Party was the American political party in the 1790’s of, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison, formed in opposition to the centralizing policies of the Federalist party. It came to power in 1800, and dominated national and state affairs until the 1820’s, when it faded away. This party split and resurfaced as the separate parties we know today as, the Democrat and Republican parties. Each claim Jefferson as their founder, then later one was the party of Lincoln and the other of FDR or Franklin Delano Roosevelt. These two divided parties are still divided, but now more than ever, many of us have come to realize that they are the ones that divide us, to gain or maintain their political power and influence over us, for whom they treat US as their servants. They are angry and they are afraid and they pass this on to us, WE the People that they are, supposed to serve. Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

In short, these two parties target us by promising more from the government and the other promises us less government or limited government. And both promise democracy, but the power they hold is not by the majority of the people that give it, but by the money, delegates and the electoral college (the few) that decide the elections. We are angry and we are afraid and even more, we have never known or have forgotten, who and what we are. Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

At the close of the Constitutional Convention of 1787, he was asked a question by a woman (emphasis implied). It was NOT, “Well Doctor, what have we got, a [democracy] or a [oligarchy]?” It was a, “republic or a monarchy?” And his answer was not a democracy, but— “A republic if you can keep it.”— Benjamin Franklin. Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

In most of our lifetimes, this has been what we’ve been taught and what we still believe that we are a democracy. But this is NOT what the signers of our Constitution thought, taught or signed. For simplicity sake, let us be clear. A democracy is the rule by the majority. A Republic is the rule by law, NOT to limit US, but the government! Use the word “power” if you do not like the word “rule” for both. Laws are replaced with regulations by Congress, presidential proclamations or executive orders, and overthrown, upheld and even changed by the Supreme Court. Into the hands of our government, WE have surrendered more and more of our liberty under the fear of threat to national security, national crisis, state of emergency or the promises made, un-kept. “Those who surrender freedom for security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one.”— Benjamin Franklin. Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

Amidst the troubles of our times, our practical and all but declared bankruptcy, our loss of jobs and the fears for our futures and that of our children, we turn towards the government to help us or we turn from it. We are angry and we are afraid. Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

In the midst of this turmoil and in this presidential election year, it began quite simply with two presumed choices for president. One is named Clinton and the other is named Bush. But the people spoke and there has been an uproar and an uprising. Bush is out or has at least suspended his campaign, for perhaps the hope for something to happen or a brokered convention? But for now, he is out and Clinton is NOT the all-but-done deal. Over 60% of people asked, don’t trust her and yet, she has still been winning about 50% and more of the vote and a whole lot more of the delegates than she has earned. The math simply does not add up. Why, if she is not trusted, would so many vote for her? Is it experience? Is it fear of losing what they believe the last seven years has brought them? Is she their hope of continuing the legacy of the present administration? Is she just a vote against the anger and fear of the other party taking over? But there is fear and anger that what this administration means to many and what she stands for, does NOT do enough; go far enough! Enter another candidate that speaks to this anger and to this fear that even this administration has not done enough; gone far enough. Enter a democratic socialist. Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

Bernie Sanders has been made by not only the Democrat party, but the Republican party, the media and a divided people as well. He speaks to many with his voice, their silent voices of anger and fear. He is well liked. He is trusted. He is an insurgent who speaks of the wanton waste, abuse and corruption in government and capitalism, particularly of those of great wealth at the expense of all others and often even their bailout, by the people. But it is not so much his person that is met with anger and fear, it is what he represents. Few care or know that his first paycheck in life was at age forty and it was then and has been ever since, been provided by the government, “of, by and for the people…,” he so often quotes, Abraham Lincoln, a republican. But he himself, he is not a republican, he is a socialist, a democratic socialist. Some argue against any form of socialism and some argue that we already are, a socialist country, just as we are already, a democracy. But socialism is not new to this country. It has been here as a party in some form, since the 19th century. Many think of the ‘Hippies’ of the 1960’s as Utopian socialists. Socialists were here in the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and are still here in the 21st century with several of their members serving, in our present government. But after losing many national elections, a leader of their party suggested they stop using the word socialist and use progressive instead and move it all, into the democrat party, and the people will vote for them! Most of us have no idea what socialism is. Democracy, progressiveness, and socialism are all, one and the same. They all share the idea that government must provide for all, all we need. But I will only be brief in a description of socialism. As Eye See It, democracy is, the goal of socialism. “The goal of socialism is communism.”— Vladimir Lenin. In keeping with Charles Dickens and his Tale of Two Cities, Bernie Sanders represents the “best of times” because, he clearly shows the pulse of the divided country and brings to light clearly, what is on people’s minds. He rallies against waste, abuse and corruption. He defines our present government as an oligarchy. He has raised more individual contributions (about 4 million) than any candidate in history, with the average contribution of around $27. His support is broad-based among the many differences of many men and women. He is beholden to no major donors or super PACS (political action committees). Bernie Sanders is, “the best of times.” But, Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

Bernie Sanders represents, the “worst of times” because, he shows the pulse of the divided country and brings to light clearly, one possible outcome of our fragile republic. His support clearly shows how far people are willing to go to revolt and transform this country even further than, it already has been. Most don’t believe we now are under or understand what an oligarchy is until— they realize it basically means, power in the hands of a few. And if Sanders’ is successful in his call for revolution, he will become one of the few, a different kind of a few perhaps, but still one of the few. But his non-lead shows that either the majority of his party are not willing to go as far as his vision promotes or he is just not considered electable. Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

On the republican side, enter one outsider, made by both the Democrat and the Republican parties, the media and the divided country. His name is, Donald Trump. He is a wealthy billionaire businessman, celebrity and author. He has been made or brought to presidential candidate status by the perceived failures of the Democrat party. He has been made or brought to the forefront of the 2016 political process by, the very party he represents (the Republican party), and the media and a divided people, angry and afraid. He is greatly disliked and feared by the democrats, his own party, independents and the media. And despite all of this, he is outperforming ALL expectations. Pundits cannot figure him out. He is self-funding and beholden to no one, though many argue he is, only to himself and his own self-interests and his perceived, braggadocios and all encompassing ego. But he cannot seem to be caused to cave or pushed aside. His support is broad based and his supporters appear to be unmovable. He is the break against and the champion against, political correctness. In keeping with Charles Dickens and his Tale of Two Cities, Donald Trump represents the “best of times” because, he clearly shows the pulse of the divided country and brings to light clearly, what is on people’s minds. He rallies against waste, abuse and corruption and especially ineptitude and incompetence. His support is broad-based, for he appears to represent the former silent majority. With Donald Trump, we have only to look at his history of business. Will like his business history, will he make a better deal in ‘making America great again’? Trump represents the “best of times” because, a better deal is, what many are seeking, not a politician, someone well-spoken, polite or even a deeply religious leader, but a better deal-maker. His own running clearly shows that our government has been poorly run as if, it were a business. Surely a businessman, could make a better deal? But these are also, the worst of times. Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

Donald Trump represents, the “worst of times” because, with his vision and the agenda he has set for America, he has brought out the opposite of a quote from the first inaugural address of Abraham Lincoln— “We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory will swell when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.” Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

Donald Trump represents, the “worst of times” because, we are not friends, but enemies; our passions have been strained perhaps, beyond measure  and our once united and bonds of affection are broken. And we are now so close to forgetting that there ever was a time we were united. The lie is now called the truth and the darkness is called the light. Those that believe he is nothing, but a con-man, are themselves conned. For WE all have been conned by the two parties of con! Donald Trump represents the “worst of times” because, those that oppose him clearly show that WE the People are divided. Many have promised or threatened to vote for the other party, not vote at all, leave the party or the country if, he becomes the republican nominee or is somehow elected president. These threats or promises (depending on your perspective) are not just from the democrats, but the republicans and independents too! In Donald Trump, we clearly see and vent the worst devils of our nature. These are, “the worst of times.” Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

Political unrest! Economic uncertainty! A future paused, interrupted or a republic lost! We are divided! We can no longer even agree to disagree. We are heading towards the unknown, fueled with a great and seemingly, bottomless reservoir of explosive anger and fear is a lit match. The time for uniting is, no more. We will either push off and on towards a revolution or a movement. Nothing stays the same; all will be changed. Whether we end up with more government or less of a government or even a functioning one, is only part of what lies ahead to be seen, if the smoke ever clears or any is left alive or still have eyes to see? The Supreme Court now has only the possibility of a 4-to-4 split. A new judge must be appointed to maintain the balance or totally transform it, depending on the results of the presidential election. There may soon be more judges, for the new president to appoint? The court will side towards either more or less government. The pendulum has already swung far left. Will it cease from swinging, swing further left and stop or swing far, far right? Either way, a pendulum swinging must return to its center; its balance. And for the moment of this writing, our only political hope for balance is, the Constitution of the United States of America. Whether it is allowed to remain as is; as was written; as was intended, a document written with a pen of iron, upon a rock, a bedrock, for all generations or as others believe, a ‘living thing’ changed at will, it is, still here! It is our contract with the government to limit the government or our right to abolish and form something new. If we head over the cliff in this revolution, it does not ever need to be replaced, as it remains now changed and thus, permanently altered? But if we head over the cliff of this movement, will we ever regain what it was? Will it then be replaced with or without our will, with something new? But it is, for now, still here! WE are divided. WE will either push US off this cliff to one possible outcome or the other. WE all will leap or we will be pushed. Dear reader, I dare you to continue reading below.

As Eye See it, what is in your eye? What do you behold? What WE all see is anger and fear of both parties, the media, business and greed! And I submit to you Dear reader that WE have allowed this. We have brought US to this day and time. I, in my own weakness and failure to stand for you and for what is right have diminished you! I, in my own ignorance have misled you, ill-fed you with unintended consequences and I, have in anger and fear aided and abetted the enemy as if, I had willingly conspired. No Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, Roosevelt, Kennedy, Reagan, Clinton, Bush, Sanders, Trump, or any other can unite us, there are no more those that can unite, nor are WE even looking for them. WE are, divided. ONLY WE the People can save us by what has been given to US and the truths and the principles upon which others lived; pledged their lives; their fortunes; their sacred honor; their“last ounce of devotion…,” — [Abraham Lincoln] and  died to defend! Now is not a time to unite, but to take a stand! And if over this cliff i or WE must, it is far, far better to stand upon our feet and leap, than to kneel and be pushed by the anger and fear of slavery, unless we kneel before the throne of mercy and find grace! What WE now hold in our hands will be left or lost to the next generations. But I give to you another option; another hope? Flag This! (an update)

Believe it or not, I have three favorite colors and they just happen to be, red, white and blue. I have been blessed to live in the country and to have seen over our back yard, two bald eagles soaring in the sky. I may not be brave, but I still live, “in the land of the free and the home of the brave.” As of October 30th, 2015, we now proudly have a flagpole, for our “stars and the stripes”“Old Glory,” the flag of the United States of America.

The pole was a gift from a Vietnam veteran to a Navy Veteran and he not only gifted me with this honor, but he also helped me to install it. Thank you, Mat Burton, my friend. I thank you unknown Vietnam veteran and Mat for your service to our country and for this blessing which now graces the outside of our home that we affectionately call, ‘The Gathering Place.’ May countless numbers of people ‘gather’ here to behold it and may it ever wave in the land of the free and the home of the brave!

I promise to do my best to honor and respect this gift and all it represents.

I recognize that there are some of a religious group that believe a “pledge” and “allegiance” are associated with swearing an oath and their religion forbids them from saying the ‘pledge of allegiance’ or saluting the flag that rises above the very ground where they live and are free to believe what they want to believe. I do not interpret or associate the words “pledge” or “allegiance” or the placing of my hand over my heart or saluting the flag as swearing an oath. But I wonder if the same people who reject the pledge of allegiance or saluting the flag on these grounds, realize they have already sworn at least one oath if not many? If anyone has ever been required to give testimony in a court of law, they have sworn or affirmed a spoken oath to tell the truth. If anyone has ever filed an income tax form, you should read or re-read the very bottom of the return. It says:

“Under penalties of perjury, I declare that I have examined this return and accompanying schedules and statements, and to the best of my knowledge and belief, they are true, correct, and complete.”

This is called a tacit (implied, but non-spoken) oath and carries the same force as if it were spoken. But no such or any kind of sworn, spoken or implied oath was ever intended, by any citizen of the United States of America. Oaths were only for new citizens, the military and those that actually, really and truly, work for the government. And that oath was not to God, the heavens, a royal, or to the earth, but to a thing, the Constitution of the United States of America. From a Puritan’s standard, like William Penn, who opened the doors to religious freedom and planned the city of “Brotherly Love,” (Philadelphia, PA), our founders were opposed to oaths. But realizing that it is not a crime to do nothing, they understood that all those working for the government had to do was just show up and collect their paychecks—that’s it, nothing else. So they made it a requirement to swear an oath to a thing, the Constitution of the United States of America, to hold them to accountable and if not, they would be guilty of perjury (lying under oath)!

I do not know what the flag, our flag might mean to you, but I can tell you what it means to me.

Charles Thompson, Secretary of the Continental Congress, reporting to Congress on the United States Seal, stated:

“The colors of the pales (the vertical stripes) are those used in the flag of the United States of America; White signifies purity and innocence, Red, hardiness & valour, and Blue, the color of the Chief (the broad band above the stripes) signifies vigilance, perseverance & justice.”

I know whom my God and Father is. He is MY “Chief” And I know of Him, by Him and For Him, this republic that was just a whisper, became a shout heard all around the world!

I will briskly hoist the flag day by day when I get up in the morning, weather permitting. I will display it between sunrise and sunset. Once it has been hoisted, I will look upward, face it, and with my right hand over my heart, I will say aloud MY, ‘Pledge of Allegiance.’

“I Pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

On occasion, I will read the following:

“I – – Me; an individual; a committee of one.
Pledge – – Dedicate all of my worldly goods to give without self-pity.
Allegiance – – My love and my devotion.
To the Flag – – Our standard; Old Glory ; a symbol of Freedom; wherever she waves there is respect, because your loyalty has given her a dignity that shouts, Freedom is everybody’s job.
United – – That means that we have all come together.
States – – Individual communities that have united into forty-eight great states. Forty-eight individual communities with pride and dignity and purpose. All divided with imaginary boundaries, yet united to a common purpose, and that is love for country.
And to the Republic – – Republic–a state in which sovereign power is invested in representatives chosen by the people to govern. And government is the people; and it’s from the people to the leaders, not from the leaders to the people.
For which it stands
One Nation – – One Nation–meaning, so blessed by God.
Indivisible – – Incapable of being divided.
With Liberty – – Which is Freedom; the right of power to live one’s own life, without threats, fear, or some sort of retaliation.
And Justice – – The principle, or qualities, of dealing fairly with others.
For All – – For All–which means, boys and girls, it’s as much your country as it is mine.

And now, boys and girls, let me hear you recite the Pledge of Allegiance:

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic, for which it stands; one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Since I was a small boy, two states have been added to our country, and two words have been added to the Pledge of Allegiance: Under God. Wouldn’t it be a pity if someone said that is a prayer, and that would be eliminated from schools, too?”

On occasion, I will sing to the best of my ability, the first stanza of, ‘America.’

On occasion, I will sing to the best of my ability, the first and last stanzas of, ‘America the Beautiful’

And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea.

O Beautiful for patriot dream
that sees beyond the years.

With my right hand still over my heart, I will sing daily, to the best of my ability, the first stanza of the National Anthem.

“Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn’s early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro’ the perilous fight’
O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming.
And the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?”

At sunset each day, I will slowly lower our flag to waiting arms and not allow it to touch the ground and then fold it thus:

I have adapted the following for my own purposes. If you would like the specific wording see: ‘Flag This‘ and scroll to, ‘Folds of the Flag’

But while the flag is being folded, the following will either be read or a recording played of the reading:

Our flag, my flag, I fold you first as a symbol of life.

This second fold is for the belief in eternal life.

This third fold (the first triangle) is for the veteran that gave a portion of their life to defend this country and to extend peace through Liberty, to the entire world.

The fourth fold is for our weaker nature that we must turn to God in times of peace and war, for His divine guidance.

The fifth fold is for grace, to find favor in dealing with other nations. We may be right or wrong, but this is still our country.

The sixth fold is for where the heart lies. It is with the heart that I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

The seventh fold is for our Armed Forces that protect our country and our flag, against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

The eighth fold is for every mother who has entered into the valley of the shadow of death and for whom this flag flies, on Mother’s Day.

The ninth fold is a tribute to all women that through their believing, love, loyalty and devotion, the character of the men and women who have made this country great, have been molded.

The tenth fold is a tribute to all fathers, for they too have guided and given sons and daughters, for the defense of our country.

The eleventh fold, in the eyes of a Hebrew citizen, represents the lower portion of the seal of King David and King Solomon, and glorifies, in their eyes, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

The twelfth fold, in the eyes of a Christian citizen, represents an emblem of eternity and glorifies, in their eyes, God the Father, His son Jesus Christ and His gift of holy spirit. [modified]

When the flag is completely folded, the stars are uppermost, reminding us of our national motto, “In God we Trust.”

After the flag is completely folded and tucked in, it takes on the appearance of a cocked hat, ever reminding us of the soldiers who served under General George Washington and the sailors and marines who served under Captain John Paul Jones who were followed by their comrades and shipmates in the Armed Forces of the United States, preserving for us the rights, privileges, and freedoms we enjoy today.

During inclement weather, heavy winds and after sunset, this flag will either NOT be flown or taken down and folded.

On some occasions and particularly July 4th, a portion of the Declaration of Independence will be read as such:

That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long-established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. On some occasions, the preamble to the Untied States Constitution will be read as such:

“We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

And finally, on some occasions I may read the words or play a recording of the beloved ‘TAPS,’ day is done.

I will fly the flag at half-staff only in accordance with:

The Flag in Mourning

I will place the flag at half-staff, hoist it to the peak for an instant and lower it to a position half way between the top and bottom of the staff. The flag is to be raised again to the peak for a moment before it is lowered. On Memorial Day, the flag will be displayed at half-staff until noon and at full staff from noon to sunset.

The flag will be flown at half-staff in mourning for designated, principal government leaders and upon presidential or gubernatorial order.

“FLYING THE FLAG AT HALF-STAFF: The pertinent section of the Flag Code says, “by order of the President, the flag shall be flown at half-staff upon the death of principal figures of the United States Government and the Governor of a State, territory, or possession, as a mark of respect to their memory. In the event of the death of other officials or foreign dignitaries, the flag is to be displayed at half-staff according to Presidential orders, or in accordance with recognized customs or practices not inconsistent with law.

In the event of the death of a present or former official of the government of any State, territory, or possession of the United States, the Governor of that state, territory, or possession may proclaim that the National flag shall be flown at half-staff.” The code also includes other related details including the specific length of time during which the flag should be displayed at half-staff, in the event of the death of a “principal figure”(e.g., 30 days for the death of a sitting or former President, 10 days for the death of a sitting Vice-President,etc.).

Flag Draping a Coffin and Presentation

Although the U.S. Flag Code does NOT use the word “shall,” but rather “should,” draping a coffin has been used to honor the passing of military men and women of the armed services since the Napoleonic Wars (1803 – 1815). There is nothing that prohibits police departments, a canine service animal or for that matter, any U.S. citizen from having this custom used during a funeral service. It is at the discretion of the chief or under the advice of the appropriate authority. This having been said, there has only ever been one person that was ever given the status as a ‘honorary veteran’ whose coffin was draped with an American Flag. Public Law 105–67—OCT. 30, 1997, was a joint resolution by both houses of the 105th Congress and signed into law by then president of the United States, William Jefferson Clinton. This conferred the rights and privileges as honorary veteran status to Leslie Townes (Bob) Hope.  It’s opening paragraph reads as follows:

“Whereas the United States has never before conferred status as an honorary veteran of the United States Armed Forces on an individual, and such status is and should remain an extraordinary honor not lightly conferred nor frequently granted.”

The reasons for this honor were stated in the resolution:

“Whereas the lifetime of accomplishments and service of Leslie Townes (Bob) Hope on behalf of United States military service members fully justifies the conferring of such status; Whereas Leslie Townes (Bob) Hope is himself not a veteran, having attempted to enlist in the Armed Forces to serve his country during World War II, but being informed that the greatest service he could provide the Nation was as a civilian entertainer for the troops; Whereas during, World War II, the Korean Conflict, the Vietnam War, and the Persian Gulf War and throughout the Cold War, Bob Hope traveled to visit and entertain millions of United States service members in numerous countries, on ships at sea, and in combat zones ashore; Whereas Bob Hope has been awarded the Congressional Gold Medal, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Distinguished Service Medal of each of the branches of the Armed Forces, and more than 100 (actually around 2,000 awards and honors) citations and awards from national veterans service organizations and civic and humanitarian organizations;…”

Bob Hope died on a Sunday, August 27, 2003. The following Monday, president George H. Bush ordered the flag of the United States to be flown at half mast. Three days after what would have been his 100th birthday, Bob Hope was given a private service which included the draping of the US flag briefly over his coffin in an early morning and private service Friday, August 1st, 2003. Hope’s widow, four children and four grandchildren reportedly declined suggestions from Washington that he be buried at the US capital’s Arlington National Cemetery, an honor usually reserved for military veterans.

Before penning his famous novels “The Grapes of Wrath” and “East of Eden,” John Steinbeck was working as a war correspondent. In 1943, he wrote the following in regards to the work that Bob Hope was doing on behalf of the USO and the troops overseas:

“When the time for recognition of service to the nation in wartime comes to be considered, Bob Hope should be high on the list. This man drives himself and is driven. It is impossible to see how he can do so much, can cover so much ground, can work so hard, and can be so effective. He works month after month at a pace that would kill most people.”

I write these things about Bob Hope, for the following primary reasons. To confer such an honorary veteran status on anyone and specifically the draping of the US flag over their coffin should not be taken lightly! It is my opinion that those we want to so honor, should be of equal service as Bob Hope. And this equality among military persons whom have, as president Abraham Lincoln wrote in the Gettysburg Address, they should be men and women that have paid the highest price “of their devotion!” And it is my opinion that any military man or woman (living or deceased), even though they did not die or do not die in service to our country, each has willingly offered to pay the highest price of their devotion too! And in my mind, there is no difference between those that died in service and those that were or are willing to sacrifice their own lives in defense of Liberty. And though no other may have received or receive any or as many awards, honors and citations as Bob Hope, the equality of their service to God, Family and Country is no different! All enlisted military and officers are each required to take an oath to the Constitution of the United States that state, “I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same;…”

Whether or not the words are spoken (as in the officer’s oath), it is implied that each oath taker freely takes this oath and the responsibility for it, even if they are required to give their full measure of devotion. And it is for this reason alone that every man or woman that vows this oath, is due the honor, whether they live or whether they die in defending it!

This flag draped over the departed soldier has most likely previously flown over the nation’s capitol in, Washington, D.C., the seat of government of, for and by, WE the People. To lie in state, the coffin is covered with the symbolic gesture of gratitude from all of, WE the People. After the flag is respectfully removed from the coffin and folded, with each fold having an important meaning, it is then ‘presented’ to the appropriate person(s) with the words, “On behalf of a grateful nation.”

I do not mean to lesson or dishonor the service of our police, some canine service animal or any citizen of the United States. Here, we are free to believe whatever we choose to believe. I just happen to believe that only the military or upon some extraordinary occasion, should anyone’s coffin be draped with our flag, except for our military. And I care not whether the deceased has committed some crime or some grave sin or died due to suicide. As no amount of darkness can extinguish even the faintest of light; no evil can overcome the good done by just one man or one woman that stood, even for a single moment, for, LIBERTY! All such as these no matter the circumstances, are due this honor!

Yes, though the U.S. Flag Code may not say what any “shall” do or “shall” not do, but rather what “should”not be done or “should” be done with this flag, it is still law and in my mind, the only difference between the words “shall” and “should” is individual choice. Though the Supreme Court of the United States has ruled that to dishonor and desecrate this symbol is considered artist expression and protected freedom of speech under our Constitution, the very flag that many oppose on religious grounds, interpret to be politically correct, it is the very same symbol that affords them the right to oppose it, interpret it and desecrate it. I will not so dishonor this symbol of Liberty nor those that fought for it and still fight for it! I am not a veteran, but many in my family and my wife’s family were. I have several friends that are veterans. Though I cannot serve and have not served nor have given my last ounce of devotion, I can do no less than to take what amount of time and effort necessary, for as long as I live, to both show respect and if possible, where an open door of utterance presents itself, to teach and show and share this flag code etiquette with anyone of an open mind and an asking heart, why I do this small thing and for whom. But this is what our flag means to me!

Care of my Flag

I will clean or mend the flag as needed.

And when the flag becomes weathered and worn, I will respectfully burn it and replace it. Like fire purifies and like the legendary Phoenix bird, MY flag will be born again. And then, I will read, the following words:

“Fourscore and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation or any nation so conceived and so dedicated can long endure. We are met on a great battlefield of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field as a final resting-place for those who here gave their lives that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this. And should this flag be so ordered to be flown upside down, if this nation is under distress or ceases to exist, I will not so fly it here! You may be offended by this post and this flag, hate it, despise it, spit on it, defecate on it, urinate on it, shoot it full of holes, and even burn it hatefully or mockingly, but such an idea it represents, can never nor ever can, be destroyed!

I will respectfully, lovingly and proudly display this flag as I have said above, for as long as I am able or for as long as I may have others do this on my behalf. If it ceases to fly, you will know it is because of inclement weather or that I have died, but God is still alive and the very ideas of unalienable rights such as— Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, cannot die!

I am considering putting up a flag outside of our home. I could certainly use your help and would appreciate your opinion.

I’ve picked out a few that I thought might work under these categories:

Design, Symbolism, Non-Offensive, and Home Security

 

Let’s start with design. I like the following because it’s colorful and pretty.

Unfortunately, the rainbow flag has been seized by another group and to use it would offend others.

This next group is considered racist and particularly symbolic of slavery, so they’re unacceptable.

I came up with the next one as perhaps it is neutral?

But many might think I am a white supremacist or that I have surrendered and they would be offended.

What If I added something to the foreground?

Well, some would still be offended by the white background. Others would be offended by the religious symbol of a cross. But, I’ve decided not to use this flag because, I think a lot of people might see it and stop in. We just don’t have enough band-aids to go around! 🙂

What if I just put up a black flag?

WOW, where do I start with this one? Some might be OK with this while others would be offended. And in final analysis, it’s way too confusing!

A black flag was used by ancient Roman military. I’m not ancient (yet); not a Roman or an Italian.

“The Black Standard” has been associated with the prophet Mohammed. But I am not a Muslim.

The German Peasants’ War in the 16th century by the revolting farmers, used a black flag. I don’t live in the 16th century, I am not German or a farmer.

Afghanistan flew a solid black flag from 1709–38 and from 1880–1901. I live in the 21st century and I am not from Afghanistan.

The Anarchist black flag has been an anarchist symbol since the 1880’s. This symbol is a reference to a quote by Pierre-Joseph Proudhon “anarchy is the mother of order.” He was a French politician and the founder of mutualist philosophy. He was the first person to declare himself an anarchist and many consider him to be the father of anarchy. The black background flag was often seen having an ‘A’ and an ‘O’  encircled. I am not an anarchist.

Fascists and Nazis used a black background in their flags. I am neither a fascist nor a Nazi.

Upon the surrender of Nazi Germany in World War II, German U-boats were ordered to fly a black flag and sail to an Allied port and surrender. We do not have any U-boats where we live.

Plain black flags with no art were often employed by most pirates in the 17th–18th century. Historically, the flag was flown to frighten pirates’ victims into surrendering without a fight, since it conveyed the message that the attackers were outlaws who would not consider themselves bound by the usual rules of engagement—and might, therefore, slaughter those they defeated (since captured pirates were usually hanged, they did not have much to gain by asking quarter if defeated). I am not a pirate.

Black flags are often associated with funerals in the West, particularly state funerals and public mourning. I’m still alive.

In the former Yugoslavia, a plain black flag was the flag of mourning. It was displayed for 40 days after death on the deceased person’s house. I’m not from Yugoslavia.

The black flag is the symbol of the Jewish ultra-Orthodox, anti-Zionist group, Neturei Karta. It is flown as a sign of mourning over the creation of the State of Israel, most commonly on Israeli Independence Day. I am neither Jewish nor am I from Israel.

In sail racing, when the black flag is displayed with the preparatory signal, a boat that is over the starting line in the minute prior to the starting signal is immediately disqualified without a hearing. I am not a sailor and I don’t have a boat.

In some forms of racing, a black flag is used to disqualify competitors or indicate some other penalty (such as a forced pit stop in NASCAR). I am not a racer and I don’t have a race car.

Whatever its symbolism is taken to mean, a black flag is sure to offend someone. Besides that, we live in the country and have a lot of birds flying overhead. A black flag is sure to show bird poop! 🙂

For general home security, I thought of a couple designs.

I’m sure this flag would offend someone and if I were to use it, I’d probably be listed as a “hater” or a homeland terrorist, but at least the FBI, CIA and all kinds of government groups would be watching our property. 🙂

This next flag would offend some and maybe it would be shot at, on our property and maybe even we might get shot? Then again, maybe people would just be scared and leave us alone if we put up the flag of ISIL?

After considering all these designs, I have come to the conclusion that it is just impossible to be politically correct and to not offend someone! I’m on my own.

Believe it or not, I have three favorite colors and they just happen to be, red, white and blue. I have been blessed to live in the country and to have seen over our back yard, two bald eagles soaring in the sky. I may not be brave, but I still live, “in the land of the free and the home of the brave.” So, I’ve decided to go with the, “stars and the stripes”“Old Glory,” the flag of the United States of America.

I recognize that there are some of a religious group that believe a “pledge” and “allegiance” are associated with swearing an oath and their religion forbids them from saying the ‘pledge of allegiance’ or saluting the flag that rises above the very ground where they live and are free to believe what they want to believe. I do not interpret or associate the words “pledge” or “allegiance” or the placing of my hand over my heart or saluting the flag as swearing an oath. But I wonder if the same people who reject the pledge of allegiance or saluting the flag on these grounds, realize they have already sworn at least one oath if not many? If anyone has ever been required to give testimony in a court of law, they have sworn or affirmed a spoken oath to tell the truth. If anyone has ever filed an income tax form, you should read or re-read the very bottom of the return. It says:

“Under penalties of perjury, I declare that I have examined this return and accompanying schedules and statements, and to the best of my knowledge and belief, they are true, correct, and complete.”

This is called a tacit (implied, but non-spoken) oath and carries the same force as if it were spoken. But no such or any kind of sworn, spoken or implied oath was ever intended, by any citizen of the United States of America. Oaths were only for new citizens, the military and those that actually, really and truly, work for the government. And that oath was not to God, the heavens, a royal, or to the earth, but to a thing, the Constitution of the United States of America. From a Puritan’s standard, like William Penn, who opened the doors to religious freedom and planned the city of “Brotherly Love,” (Philadelphia, PA), our founders were opposed to oaths. But realizing that it is not a crime to do nothing, they understood that all those working for the government had to do was just show up and collect their paychecks—that’s it, nothing else. So they made it a requirement to swear an oath to a thing, the Constitution of the United States of America, to hold them to account!

I do not know what the flag, our flag might mean to you, but I can tell you what it means to me.

Charles Thompson, Secretary of the Continental Congress, reporting to Congress on the United States Seal, stated:

“The colors of the pales (the vertical stripes) are those used in the flag of the United States of America; White signifies purity and innocence, Red, hardiness & valour, and Blue, the color of the Chief (the broad band above the stripes) signifies vigilance, perseverance & justice.”

I know whom my God and Father is. He is MY “Chief” And I know of Him, by Him and For Him, this republic that was just a whisper, became a shout heard all around the world!

Therefore, I will find the best flag and pole and accouterments, all appropriate for where we live on top of a hill in the country where it will fly in the breeze and the wind we often have here. All materials will be made in the USA and any labor required to erect it and maintain it, will be provided by one or more, US citizens.

I will briskly hoist the flag day by day when I get up in the morning, weather permitting. I will display it between sunrise and sunset. Once it has been hoisted, I will look upward, face it, and with my right hand over my heart, I will say aloud MY, ‘Pledge of Allegiance.’

“I Pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

On occasion, I will read the following:
“I – – Me; an individual; a committee of one.
Pledge – – Dedicate all of my worldly goods to give without self-pity.
Allegiance – – My love and my devotion.
To the Flag – – Our standard; Old Glory ; a symbol of Freedom; wherever she waves there is respect, because your loyalty has given her a dignity that shouts, Freedom is everybody’s job.
United – – That means that we have all come together.
States – – Individual communities that have united into forty-eight great states. Forty-eight individual communities with pride and dignity and purpose. All divided with imaginary boundaries, yet united to a common purpose, and that is love for country.
And to the Republic – – Republic–a state in which sovereign power is invested in representatives chosen by the people to govern. And government is the people; and it’s from the people to the leaders, not from the leaders to the people.
For which it stands
One Nation – – One Nation–meaning, so blessed by God.

And Justice – – The principle, or qualities, of dealing fairly with others.

With my right hand still over my heart, I will sing daily, to the best of my ability, the first stanza of the National Anthem.

Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro’ the perilous fight’
O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming.

At sunset each day, I will slowly lower our flag to waiting arms and not allow it to touch the ground and then fold it thus:

I will begin by holding it waist-high with another person so that its surface is parallel to the ground.

We will fold the lower half of the stripe section lengthwise over the field of stars, holding the bottom and top edges securely.

We will make a triangular fold by bringing the striped corner of the folded edge to meet the open (top) edge of the flag.

Folds of the Flag

“The first fold of our flag is a symbol of life.

The second fold is a symbol of our belief in the eternal life.

The third fold is made in honor and remembrance of the veteran departing our ranks who gave a portion of life for the defense of our country to attain a peace throughout the world.

The fourth fold represents our weaker nature, for as American citizens trusting in God, it is to Him we turn in times of peace as well as in times of war for His divine guidance.

The fifth fold is a tribute to our country, for in the words of Stephen Decatur, “Our country, in dealing with other countries, may she always be right; but it is still our country, right or wrong.”

On some occasions and particularly July 4th, a portion of the Declaration of Independence will be read as such:

That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. I will fly the flag at half-staff only in accordance with:

The Flag in Mourning

I will place the flag at half-staff, hoist it to the peak for an instant and lower it to a position half way between the top and bottom of the staff. The flag is to be raised again to the peak for a moment before it is lowered. On Memorial Day, the flag will be displayed at half-staff until noon and at full staff from noon to sunset.

The flag will be flown at half-staff in mourning for designated, principal government leaders and upon presidential or gubernatorial order.

“FLYING THE FLAG AT HALF-STAFF: The pertinent section of the Flag Code says, “by order of the President, the flag shall be flown at half-staff upon the death of principal figures of the United States Government and the Governor of a State, territory, or possession, as a mark of respect to their memory. In the event of the death of other officials or foreign dignitaries, the flag is to be displayed at half-staff according to Presidential orders, or in accordance with recognized customs or practices not inconsistent with law.

In the event of the death a present or former official of the government of any State, territory, or possession of the United States, the Governor of that state, territory, or possession may proclaim that the National flag shall be flown at half-staff.” The code also includes other related details including the specific length of time during which the flag should be displayed at half-staff, in the event of the death of a “principal figure”(e.g., 30 days for the death of a sitting or former President, 10 days for the death of a sitting Vice-President,etc.).

I will clean or mend the flag as needed.

And when the flag becomes weathered and worn, I will respectfully burn it and replace it. Like fire purifies and like the legendary Phoenix bird, MY flag will be born again. And then, I will read, the following words:

“Fourscore and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation or any nation so conceived and so dedicated can long endure. We are met on a great battlefield of that war. Everything We Consume is Safe – It’s The Law?

In another one of my WordPress blogs, Dirty Little Secrets , I posted this under a different title, ‘The Dirty Little Secrets of the Pusher.’  Chapter 24.  There it contains added information, which is more appropriate to the intents and purposes of that blog. Both there and here, it is my intentions to include them both, in chapters of two future books in process. Here, it is intended to be included as a chapter of, (Apple of Gold in a Picture of Silver) which is, a sequel to RESET “An UN-alien’s Guide to Resetting Our Republic.” But here, as well as there, ‘The Pusher’ is, one and the same!

The Pusher?

Yes, the pusher. You know, a person or persons that sells illegal drugs.

Well, what does ‘The Pusher’ have to do with, ‘Everything We Consume is Safe – It’s The Law?

 The argument:

WE the People of the world, DEMAND brighter, better tasting, more flavorful, bigger, more rot-resistant, disease-resistant and cheaper – fruits, vegetables and meats! Farmers DEMAND, higher yields! World hunger and world emotional response to starvation, DEMAND all of these things! What is the cost or price paid, for the delivery of these DEMANDS? The simple answer is, are these SAFE?

The burden of proof is upon Monsanto or any such entity that produce GMO’s (genetically modified organisms) or any such supposed or purported food additives or food modifications to ANY AND ALL FOOD distributed in the United States of America. By definition, this would include: from the air – to the water – to the soil – to plants – to animals – to human consumption or use. HAS THE BURDEN OF PROOF BEEN MET?

These things would also apply to Pharmacology and the practice of Medicine. Are not Pharmacological firms which produce “additives” that are ingested, consumed and/or absorbed, chemical companies? Is this not what Monsanto and such as they are, ALL chemical companies? Familiarize yourself with the following: “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS)!

Answer the following question, for yourselves, after doing your due diligence to research this for yourself. You would need to just look on the shelves of ANY grocery store. Is the DEMAND, for natural food supplements and/or” organics” less, the same or ON THE RISE? Once more, familiarize yourself with the following: “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS)!

Leave that question for the time being. Is the DEMAND, for alternatives (“alternative medicine”) to traditional medicine less, the same or ON THE RISE?  Look on the shelves of any grocery store! Familiarize yourself with the following: “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS)!

I ask again, of you or any such chemical company, are these things produced that we consume or use, “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS)? HAS THE BURDEN OF PROOF BEEN MET?

What DEMANDS these burdens to be met? Public law!

What agency of the Federal Government is charged with monitoring, administrating, enforcing and executing this law? The U.S. Food and Drug administration (FDA)!

Has the FDA, is the FDA – DEMANDING this burden of proof to be met? Are they not charged by law to: monitor, administer, enforce and execute the law in which, they are charged by law to do? What law?

The Food Additives Amendment of 1958 is a 1958 amendment to the Food, Drugs, and Cosmetic Act of 1938. It was a response to concerns about the safety of new food additives. The amendment established an exemption from the “food additive” definition and requirements for substances “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS) by scientific experts in the field,

General Premise or Purpose of the Law:

“An Act to protect the public health by amending the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to prohibit the use in food of additives which have not been adequately tested to establish their safety.”

There you have the law, ladies and gentlemen. It is still on the books! It is still active law in, the United States Code (USC)! It has NOT been rescinded, canceled or overturned by any Congress, President or Supreme Court! It’s still the law!

Have the DEMANDS of burden of proof been met? Have the DEMANDS of the FDA been met?

It is a simple enough solution that can be remedied by a pen! All the President of the United States need do RIGHT NOW is, to sign either an executive order or presidential memorandum (either or have the same effect)[1], DEMANDING that the FDA enforce the law that they are already charged to execute! Why has NOT or is this NOT being done?

I have not mentioned other agencies, branches, departments or other entities in and out of Federal, State or Local government, which are involved. The facts are, almost every single one of them are! The term “thick as thieves,” comes to mind. Why is this?

How could our own country, our own countrymen and women do this to us, WE the People? Surely I’m making this all up? Surely we can trust our government, our food and cosmetics, all the things we purchase and use in our homes, for our babies and children and from bathing, to cleaning and etc.?  Are these ALL, NOT DRUGS or CHEMICALS? WAKE UP!

Now I’m not suggesting that any one of us, WE the People “wake up” to embrace the conspiracy minded folks that believe our government is out to get us!!! The truth is, I DON’T KNOW THAT TO BE TRUE! But I do know, whether by intent or just plain ignorance, it is a corrupt system!

From BIG MONEY ADVERTISING to the media, business and Wall Street and BIG MONEY LOBBYING– to Washington, D.C.– to the FDA– to the Farm and to our homes and tables, we have all been bought and paid for and sold, a bill of goods!!!!

In another century, in the old west, this stuff was simply called, ‘Snake Oil’! Today, just because, this ‘snake oil’ has not made us sick or killed us, does not mean it’s still not what it is, ‘snake oil!’ And just because the ‘snake oil’ sellers said it was good for us, and the labels tell us it’s good for us, does not mean, it’s still not – just ‘snake oil.’ And just because the sheriff (FDA) has either turned a blind-eye or have not run these ‘pushers’ out of town, does not mean it’s because, our ‘snake oil’ is safe! Do we really know what’s in it and what is not? And just because there exists some legal ‘mumbo-jumbo’ or “disclaimer,” does NOT mean those responsible are excused from the Burden of Proof or not to be held accountable! They are, they, whomever you are!  These things are NOT our burden to prove, it is the burden that we all bare and that we all share!

Under law, the law has been usurped or laws made to not enforce the laws that are still, laws, on the books! Yes, it is a corrupt system! Those that are bound by oath, have so bound themselves to all these laws, that even if they wanted to, they could not change them!

It is as if, they were like blind hamsters, in a cage, blinding going nowhere and are just spinning an endless wheel, never, ever stopping, always turning and making a mess.

The cage or the room is, as if, it were our country! The wheel is, as if, it is us, WE the People!

In a country of over 300 million people, a president, a few hundred members of Congress, the 12 Supreme Court judges and all those which work for these three branches of government (actually for us), make all the rules, regulations and laws that affect all of us. When did the needs and wants of these few, become greater than the needs and wants of the many – the rest of us, WE the People?

If government has so bound themselves that even they cannot change these things, then the only remedy; the only solution is for us, WE the People to change these things! WE need to RESET!

If you think or believe that I am just trying to frighten you, I have exaggerated, am mistaken or that I am lying about any of this, then prove me wrong and I will cease and desist or just shut-up! If you are too busy or just don’t care to do that, then prove me wrong, for those others that may read this. If you think or believe that everything is Okey-Dokey, Peachy-Keen, Just Fine, OK, Copasetic and Safe, then prove to me I am wrong. If you are still too busy and just don’t care about any of this or me, are you absolutely sure these things are SAFE, for the future of your children?

If you think or believe that there is nothing you can do about any of this, think again and believe differently! You need to understand who you are! You are, one of WE the People, endowed with, endued with and imbued with immense power! WE the People are the power of government. Our government is– of, by and for us, WE the People!

LegalFiction2First, what is legal fiction and why is it or should it be important to you?

Each word in the phrase separately is easy enough to understand by almost anyone. “Legal” because, it is just that, legal. “Fiction” because, it is just that, it is fiction. Fiction as in contrast to non-fiction, does not exist; it’s not real; it’s imaginary; it’s made up. When combined, these two words together, don’t appear to make sense, make no sense at all or they are, just, nonsense. But to lawyers, judges, law and courts, there is a different point of view.

In ancient Greece, rhetoric was used to convict someone of a crime when, everyone knew they were guilty of the crime, but there was NO circumstantial evidence to convict. Let’s suppose the crime was, for stealing a neighbor’s chicken. No one saw it being stolen, but the chicken just happened to appear on the suspect’s property. There was insufficient evidence, but again, everyone knew the suspect stole the chicken. But they did not want the suspect to get away with the crime. So, since the chicken was found on their property, it was ‘as if,’ they were guilty of theft, even though technically, the crime would have been possesion of stolen property. This is an example of, “Legal Fiction.’

Another example from ancient times that still applies today is, adoption. An adopted child or person is not a biological heir, but adoption makes it possible ‘as if,’ they were and affords them all the rights and privileges bestowed upon them by, those that adopt them. It is a legal proceeding that is awarded and protected by the law.

What if you were to discover that the very United States of America you live in is, ‘as if,’ it were real, but is really just, ‘Legal Fiction?’ Would this be important for you to understand? What if, your rights have been infringed upon and your money has been confiscated ‘as if,’ this is was ‘purely’ legal. Would this be important to you? OK, maybe you think NOT, but what if you and every citizen of this country is owed a lot of money and you are, do you want it back?

As this introduction continues, please remember the two keys words in understanding ‘Legal Fiction’ and they are, ‘as if.’ Legal Fiction is, ‘as if,’  it was real. Let me share now. some terms and definitions from my book, RESET “An UN-alien’s Guide to Resetting Our Republic.”

“In the common law tradition, Legal Fictions are suppositions of fact taken to be true by the courts of law, but which are not necessarily true. They typically are used to evade archaic rules of procedure or to extend the jurisdiction (authority) of the courts in ways that were considered useful, but not strictly authorized by the old rule.”

“Legal Fictions were used by courts prior to the existence of handling offences. In a situation where one person sells stolen property to another person, they can then be accused of handling stolen property. Legal Fiction has been used to declare that: as the first person did not have the power to sell the property to the second person, the second person in possession of stolen property was considered to have also, stolen the property, and was therefore guilty of theft.”

“According to Black’s Law Dictionary, 804 (5th ed. 1979), “The term “Legal Fiction” is not usually used in a pejorative way in spite of the negative connotation of the phrase, and has been characterized as scaffolding around a building under construction.”

“A maxim or a short, pithy statement expressing a general truth or rule of conduct as it compares to “Legal Fiction” is:

“Fictions arise from the law, and not law from fictions.”

Bouvier’s Law Dictionary 1856 Edition

John Bouvier published three editions of his Law Dictionary in twelve years, the first in 1839. He was preparing a fourth at the time of his death in 1851. The fourth revision was published in 1856. Other well known legal scholars contributed to its several revisions. By the year 1886, there had been fifteen editions. We are approaching the discovery of the “cause” and the specific time when Our Republic was changed. It is important to note that Bouvier’s Law Dictionary would have been in use at this specific “time.” Legal Fictions have been used for centuries whether they were called this or not. Bloodlines were valued as being important, especially in royal or noble households. In ancient Rome if there were no physical heirs to assume the parental status, adoption was used. This was a Legal Fiction in that the adopted individual was assumed or presumed to be the legal heir as if they were the legal heir by birthright. “Legal Fiction,” as far as this book is concerned, is compared with government “de facto.” A true child or true law (government de jure) is to each other as “Legal Fiction” would be to an adopted child or government (de facto). “dē jūrē  or de jure is a Latin noun and pronounced [di joor-ee, dey joor-ey]. Its origin is believed to have first been used sometime around 1610. Its literal meaning is “pure law” or “of law”, thus “legitimate, lawful, by right of law, required by law.”

dē factō or de facto is a Latin noun and pronounced [dee fak-toh]. Its origin is believed to have first been used sometime from 1595-1605. Its meaning is, “in fact; in reality.” It carries the idea of something actually existing, especially when without lawful authority. It may also be understood as something existing for such a time that it is as if, it was the law.

Legal Fiction” is to government “de facto” as both are related to the word interpretation in this book. See: Private Interpretation.

Perhaps this sounds very complicated and this is the point. What began as simple and clear, became complicated, unclear, a haze.

Like a purple haze and essentially hidden, it continues by ignorance of it and from a “mindset” to it. It is a corrupt “system.” WE need to RESET Our Republic.

The United States operates today, NOT as, government de jure, but as, government de facto‘as if,’ it was, the pure law. It is NOT! Yesterday was, the birthday of John Ernst Steinbeck, Jr. (February 27, 1902 – December 20, 1968).

He was an American writer. He is widely known, for the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, The Grapes of Wrath (1939), East of Eden (1952) and the novella Of Mice and Men (1937).

As the author of twenty-seven books, including sixteen novels, six non-fiction books, and five collections of short stories, Steinbeck received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1962.

His most famous work is, The Grapes of Wrath.

If you have not ever read this book, perhaps NOW is the time? It was also made into a black & white film in 1940, staring Henry Fonda.     

It is the story of a poor Midwest family that are forced off of their land. They travel to California, suffering the misfortunes of the homeless in the Great Depression.

The picture above is photographer Dorothea Lange’s ‘Migrant Mother’ who depicts the destitute pea pickers in California. It centers on Florence Owens Thompson, age 32, a mother of seven children, in Nipomo, California, March 1936. Poverty and nearly all hopelessness, has worn and aged her face as if she was a woman much older.

The Grapes of Wrath were written during the times of the Great Depression. It began in the United States after the fall of stock prices around September of 1929. It became worldwide news and its most infamous date, called Black Tuesday, began on October 29, 1929 when the stock market crashed. It affected perhaps the entire world and lasted until the late 1930’s or middle 1940’s. Money and wealth didn’t just vanish, it was transferred!! This is, the true consequence of re-distribution of wealth! Some profited during those times, at the expense of nearly the rest of the world!

What many may not realize is that the book, The Grapes of Wrath, was written during the Great Depression and Steinbeck was affected by it as well. While some of the characters and stories of the book may have been inspired from Steinbeck’s newspaper articles previously, he finished the work at the home of Edward Weston, one of the regular members of the famous Group f/64. These were photographers that included: Ansel Adams, Imogen Cunningham, John Paul Edwards, Sonya Noskowiak, Henry Swift, Willard Van Dyke and Edward Weston.

The term f/64 refers to a small aperture setting on a large format camera, which secures great depth of field, rendering a photograph evenly sharp from foreground to background. This was the ideal setting for ‘straight photography’ rather than relying on special effects. The group were naturalists or purists in the sense of photography’ (light writing) as an art form. They believed photography  should be based on what is, rather than making things up. The group was also struggling during the Depression, but their work captured in pictures, the times! John Steinbeck finished The Grapes of Wrath on property belonging to Edward Weston. Steinbeck came to Weston, basically, living on red beans and red wine.

Steinbeck completed The Grapes of Wrath in October 1938, exactly 100 days after he had begun. The book was published by Viking Press in April 1939. Film script drafts were in the works in 1939 and the movie was released in 1940.

Perhaps Steinbeck chose to live on this diet of beans and wine to relate to his characters lives and to be empathetic to the people of the times? Perhaps he was just driven to finish the work, preferring to write rather than to eat? But he felt the ‘sting’ of the times and fortunate for him, his financials improved AFTER, the book was published and film rights sold, for both ‘Of Mice and Men’ and ‘The Grapes of Wrath,’ in 1939-40. His soul was filling and growing heavy, just like most people of the day, when he wrote it. He had enormous criticism and pressure from others, including the government that vehemently disagreed with his stand on, ‘the way it was.’

If today, this is not the “growing heavy” sentiment of WE the People, perhaps it soon will be? Perhaps as early as April of this year, 2014, WE the People will hear China announce it’s record gold imports from just over the last several years, and that our own Fort Knox and reserves of gold have been systematically exported for decades. We are already bankrupt as a nation, right now! What do you suppose will happen when China announces how much gold it has? Look, there is only so much gold in and on planet earth. We used to have about 50% of all the gold in the world. Could this connection with gold be associated with our status as a world economic superpower after WWII? Now we have no more a gold or silver standard. Paper money is all based on the “faith” and “credit” of the United States. It is a matter of trust. Do WE the People, trust the government? Do we trust it’s fiscal or economic policies? How much is that dollar in your hand, pocket, billfold or purse worth? Only the mere pennies it cost US to print it. What would and could it be worth? Have you ever heard the following: ‘Not worth the paper it’s printed on!’ There is no backing of silver or gold or anything of value. But the gold is in the banks and Fort Knox, right?

The last time Fort Knox was audited was in 1953. It has never been since! It is located in a highly secured area protecting perhaps, NOTHING! With the collapse of the markets and the financial crisis, FDR (a Democrat) presented the ‘New Deal,’ which was supposed to help people right? But did you know the government also, made it illegal to own ANY gold? This stood until president Gerald Ford (a Republican) rescinded that order in 1973. But under president Nixon, earlier (another Republican), there was no more a gold standard. What difference does it make if you can buy gold when there is no value associated with the common tender (paper)? This is NOT a Democrat or a Republican problem, it’s a corrupt financial ‘system!’ And we are being lied to, in plain sight! Look, a lie is a lie, whether intentional or not. When the world finds out where all or most of the gold is, it will be too late!

When most of the people and the media realize what the government has been doing for decades and everyone knows that we don’t have much gold or any, and China announces it’s amount, what do you suppose will happen to our U.S. dollars held in other countries? Perhaps they will no longer trust the faith and credit of the United States and export those dollars back to the U.S.? What happens when there is a whole lot more of valueless money in the US? PRICES FOR EVERYTHING WILL RISE!!!

Can’t happen! Couldn’t happen with the world currency tied to the British pound many years ago, but it did. Couldn’t happen in the 18oo’s when president Grant devalued silver, but it did. Couldn’t happen in those prosperous ‘roaring 20’s either, but it did. 9/11 could never happen here, but it did. Shackles and chains are no longer necessary. You do not need to be of a certain skin color or background to be enslaved. We are all in bondage to trust, not in the “full faith and credit” clause of our Constitution, but the government that has and is corrupting it!!!

What does this mean to other countries? Most people know that many countries have been storing their gold in the U.S. for safekeeping, for many years. Did you know that Germany had on deposit in the U.S. about 2,000 tons? Did you know that they want it back? Did you know that our government has only agreed to give them back only about 300 tons of THEIR GOLD, but only over 7 years? Why do you suppose Germany is given no explanation for this and will accept this? Do you think it possible that our government no longer has their 2000 tons or even their 300 tons? Maybe our government has to buy some gold to pay Germany their gold, their gold that is already supposed to be here?

What does this mean to you and I? Well, if our dollar continues to devalue, because there is nothing of real-value attached to it, other than “trust,” money will cost more to borrow. Businesses need money to pay its employees and etc. If there is little or no money, what happens to the jobs? If businesses aren’t selling, what will this do to the cost of our HDTV’s, iPhones, gadgets and devices, gas for our cars and homes, bread, milk and all the rest of our essentials? Oh surely, welfare checks and social security payments will still be kept by the full faith and credit of the United States?

I do not mean to frighten anyone, but we all should think about what it would be like to live in a depression. How will we live? How will we defend and protect our families? I will say this one thing about guns. Most likely you are on one side or the other about the 2nd Amendment Right to bare arms controversy. There is nothing about using guns for hunting in this amendment! Most of us understand the ‘Four Freedoms’ of the first amendment, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press and the freedom to peaceably assemble to petition the government for a redress of grievances. Who is going to protect those rights, the government? How can a state protect those rights without a militia and the right to bare arms? What few understand is that the third amendment can only be protected if the citizens are armed. The 2nd amendment says nothing about what kinds of arms, how many weapons or how much ammunition. What is to keep the government out of your homes and businesses if you are disarmed or what arms you may hold are regulated and controlled by the government? If you want to win a gun fight, don’t show up with a knife!

Our freedoms are part of our unalienable rights, but they are our responsibility to guard and protect them and secure our future and the futures of our posterity. Our freedoms can only be protected by us, WE the People, not the government. Our entire Constitution was written to protect us from the government, from the dangers of government when good men and women are swayed by power, even though with good intentions. Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Have you ever heard that before? Google it!

Steinbeck lived through and wrote about what happened and is happening in part today. We have this example to help us in the days ahead. Learn to be independent and interdependent. Really have some real face time with your neighbors, they may well someday, save your life! Store some food, some water, grow some food or start something like a ‘victory garden’ with your neighbors. Check in with each other. Help one another. This is how people survived the Great Depression, they were UNITED! Above all else, RESET our Republic.

What WE the People must do is, take back our Constitution and RESET it. It is ours! These are our rights and they are, unalienable. They cannot be taken from us or forfeited by us, unless we allow it. Which party are you attending in November? What’s is the dress code? I don’t have an invitation. I wonder if I’ll get an invitation? I don’t think I have a thing to wear!

Parties, parties, parties! Here a party, there a party, everywhere a party-party, old McParty had a party, E.I.E.I.O.! So many parties, so many to choose from, so little time. Which party are you attending in November? Will I get an invitation? Do I even want one?

To understand “non-party” means that in one way or another they will participate in electing some party even if by not voting for any of the parties that win, and by default this makes them partisan and political. Understanding “non-political” means they are political.

Official un-official motto: “It is better to be a smart ass than dumb ass.” This unofficial party is an exclusive, members only and by invitation only party. High IQ, the right genealogy and the proper DNA is required to be a member of this party. It is made up of elitists, the so-called intellectual superiors, the smart people in charge, the highly educated and über (super) financed idiots that basically have no common sense.

Whichever The Wind Blows Party

This unofficial party as the name indicates, is made up of people and positions which are determined by whichever direction the wind blows.

The Up Yours Party

This unofficial party (people) usually vote for write-in candidates like: Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Homer Simpson, None of the Above, and etc.

The No Spin Party

This unofficial party are made up of mostly all the media that may not spin the facts, they hyper-twirl. They are usually financed by The Screw You Party (see below) in the form of massive advertising dollars, merchandise, and the unsuspecting public.

The Screw You Party

This unofficial party is made up of mostly people, companies, and organizations etc. that fund elections with taxpayer money, or private money spent to get us to vote a certain way to maintain or increase their profits. Yes, non-profit organizations make a lot of money and also use taxpayer money and they also get it tax-free. The Screw You party will fund any party that can screw you, just as long as it ends up with greater profits in their pockets.

The WTF Party

This unofficial party is made up of mostly people so confused or without a clue that they usually do not vote (see: The Rhett Butler “Frankly My Dear I don’t Give a Damn” Party below), or if they do vote, they will ask others who they should vote for, be paid by others to vote, choose the first name(s) on a ballot or just guess. 

The Rhett Butler “Frankly My Dear I don’t Give a Damn” Party

This unofficial party is made up of mostly people who definitely don’t vote or it would be a cold day in hell before they vote. Their enthusiasm for being so un-enthused will still help to decide the candidates or issues in any election. A no-vote is a vote for someone(s) or something(s). But even so, frankly, they don’t give a damn.

The Nuttin’ Party

This unofficial party is made up of mostly non-people that don’t like nuttin,’ no one, and no-how. They are usually militant. If there is nuttin’ to destroy or they’ve got nuttin’ to shoot, they will usually shoot themselves.

The Out-of-Here Party

This unofficial party is made up of mostly people who prepare and believe, it’s always time to kiss our asses good bye, although they can’t seem to come up with a clear date for the end of the world. Note: Even though the last day of the Mayan calendar is Friday, December 21, 2012, it has been found that artisan that chiseled the calendar into stone, merely ran out of room when he hit 12-21-12. His boss said, “Oh, well, that’ll freak em’ out someday!”

The Festivus Party

This unofficial party is made up of mostly people who feel left out. They have no clear ideology or position, only a motto: “When we figure out Festivus, it will be for the rest of us.”

Whew -Who Knew there were so many parties in the U.S.A.?

So which party are you going to in November? The honest truth is that all of these parties are divisive. They divide us from our money. They divide us from the facts. They divide us from our resources. They divide us from our Lives. They divide us from our Liberty. They divide us from our Pursuit of Happiness. They divide us from each other. But dividing us, unites them. These are all united and all come together, one way or another, under one or the other, of the dominant two-party  political ‘system.’

Aren’t you sick and tired of this? Aren’t you sick and tired of being sick and tired of this? Is there anything you can do about it? Who is’ “you”? Is there anything i’ can do about it? Who is’ “i”? Is there anything you and i’ can do about it? Who is’ “you and i”?  What’s a “we’? Are we an “us”?  And what’s an “us”? Are “we” and “us,” WE the People? If you and I, US, and WE the People, weren’t so divided over which party to attend, WE’d be united.

Invitations to a party generally mean others were not sent an invitation. Sometimes, some people uninvited to one party still find out about the party and try to crash the party. They are usually part of some other party they found un-responsive, un-productive, boring, got kicked out of or were sent to crash another party.

Which party are you attending in November? Maybe if WE were all united, we wouldn’t be so divided? To hell with the parties, let’s have a parade!
